We're still riding the love train with it all captured through the camera lens of our Photographer. We researched everyone out there & mediocrity wasn't an option. Once we read the mission statement of Kirk McGee Studios, we knew we had found the perfect Studio to capture our memories on our wedding day. We looked through their photographers available in and while the portfolios of each were great, there was something special about Patrick's candid shots, that pulled us in. After the first email correspondence with Kirk, we knew we had made the right decision. A renowned photographer in his own right, the owner of this studio, answers his own emails and phone calls. We had the pleasure of having Patrick spend 6 hours with us on our wedding day. He was very kind, with a wonderful spirit and he was busy taking photos the entire time. He must have been exhausted but we never saw it. He had such a great work ethic and the guests even noticed. We couldn't wait to see our photos and in a couple of weeks, there they were online ! It was Thanksgiving weekend and seeing our photos gave us one more thing to be thankful for! Kirk McGee offered us a great deal to purchase all 1100 of our photos on a flash drive for a discounted rate which was a great opportunity for us to not have to pick and choose. The flash drive has just arrived and what a joy it is to see our photos as we flip through them on our computer. Patrick and his camera captured every laugh, every tear, every kiss, and he saw things we never saw. These photos will be cherished for a lifetime. We are so excited to have our favorites printed and shared with our family and friends. If you're reading this review, you're probably very busy preparing for your wedding. The best advice I can give you is to stop looking at any other company - choose Kirk McGee Studios. It will be the very best decision you will make! read more

I paid this company for picture/video package for my wedding. SEE PICTURES 1). Photographer was half an hour late despite my previous email of clear instruction on how to get there. No pictures of me with bridesmaids or groom with groomsmen in our wedding attires were taken even though I communicated at the wedding that I wanted those pics taken. 2). I told the owner of the company that I was not seeking monetary reimbursement by complaining and mentioned that he should apologize. 3). The owner didn't apologize and said that if I don't agree to not give him a bad review, he will not give my pictures back. He also said that even if I leave a bad review, he can get a lot of people to write good reviews to bury mine. I had to tell him that I will not leave a bad review in order to get the pictures that I paid for. I consulted a lawyer and he said that I was agreeing under duress and that he has no legal right to blackmail me into not leaving my honest review. I am writing this review to stand up for myself from being bullied by this owner to silence me and to make sure that other people reading this will know what kind of person is running this business. read more

The only good thing about Kirk McGee is that we eventually got our money back. Even then, he made the process a nightmare! My fiance initially put up a negative review and Kirk manipulated us into taking it down. He said that he wouldn't give us our money back until we took down the review. I found this company on The Knot and it had great reviews. Now I know why! I would stay far away from this company at all costs. There are other affordable companies out there that actually have decent ethics. The company claims to be Christian, but proves otherwise. We are reposting our neg. reviews because we don't want other couples going through what we did. Let's just say I'm not too fond of Kirk emailing my fiance to "stop acting like a Nig**r" and that she is a "disgrace to her race" and "probably a democrat that thinks everyone owes [her]." He also called her a liar and an idiot. That's not okay with me. He obviously has 0 respect for his customers. This company is unethical and we should be able to review it as so without giving up our hard earned money. Do yourself a favor and find a photographer and videographer elsewhere. read more

1) I have never interacted with this person on a professional level or through photography of any kind 2) obviously people can decide for themselves whether or not the values their photographer expresses matter to them and if they're good/bad. This dude is a HARDCORE Trumper, constantly posting nasty, racist stuff from his "businesses'" facebook page. He calls Native americans raging alcoholics who live off of welfare. You can think that, but I really think if he's going to work in New Mexico where there's a lot of people of color it's good for them to know that so they can decide for themselves. That, and idk if you've seen his work but it's the most unremarkable photos ever. If you're hoping for someone with vision, an open mind, and isn't a raging racist, then you should choose someone else. If you're a Maggot he might be great. read more

Zero (though it requires a star rating, so I gave him a 1). It's not based on my experience with him as a photographer, though from the 2.5 overall rating he has at the time I write this, it's questionable how good that is. No, my rating is in regard to his claim that he's a "Christian Studio," and my experience has more to do with how he conducts himself elsewhere. I won't go into detail, but, if he "Christian Studio" pitch is part of why you're considering him, I suggest you track down his comments on Facebook and social media. I think that, if you really believe in Christ's example and teaching, you'll find that Mr. Kirk has no understanding of what Jesus stands for. It's likely his "Christian Studio" claim is a marketing ploy. Those of you who truly believe in Christ's example and teachings should probably beware. read more

I would not recommend this photographer. Not only does their work suffer from a lack of focus--both literally and figuratively--but their unprofessionalism extends far beyond their photography. Their online presence is filled with racist and fascist rhetoric, which is deeply disturbing. A photographer should be able to capture moments with clarity and integrity, but this individual fails at both. If you value professionalism, respect, and quality work, look elsewhere. There are plenty of talented photographers who don't bring toxicity into their craft. read more
