I trusted that they truly WERE going to provide our furniture (that we paid-$5,816-in full for on March 7, 2026!) My husband and I went into Tim's Furniture Mart on March 7, 2026, just to look around. We wound up finding 2 recliners that we really liked, and since our 2 current recliners (and only seating in our family room), are broken, we decided to purchase them. Mike said it would be 6-10 weeks before they could be delivered but kept throwing in discounts/free delivery. This is the only reason that we've waited this long to ask for a refund. At the 9 week mark, I contacted Tim's because we hadn't heard anything from the date of purchase. I was told the manufacturer was running a little behind, so it would be another 2 weeks. We agreed to wait. 2 weeks came and went with no contact, so i called again. This time I was told that the manufacturer sold the business so everything was on hold, so it would be a little longer. Again, we agreed to wait another month. I called again a month later and was then told that the manufacturer was running behind, but they would call to see if they could move up our order. Of course they couldn't, but they were "in production", so we waited again. In June 2026, I called but the phone number on our order form was no longer in service. I panicked, but after googling the business, I found another number that worked. I got a call back that day but was told they needed until July 14th, but would call us as soon as they had them on their truck. I was also told the manufacturer was NOT sold! My husband wanted to cancel the order months ago but I had already paid off the credit card and they seemed to be so close to coming. For the 1st time since purchase I got a call July 14, saying it would be ANOTHER 2 weeks! I hated to do it, but I finally said we had to cancel because 4+ months was significantly longer than 6-10 weeks. I was told it would take 7-10 business days for my return to my credit card, but it looks like I will have to file a dispute. We didn't have a backup plan, so we are stuck with our same two broken chairs, and no likely refund. July 14, 2026 i got my FIRST call FROM them, telling me that although it was the date they promised delivery, it would be another few weeks! I finally told them to cancel the order because 4 1/2 months is not 6-10 weeks! Penny said it would take 7-10 business days for the refund to show up on my credit card. 10 days came and went (as expected), so i called yesterday, (had to leave a message), asking for a manager to call. It has been 28 hours and still no call. I filed a complaint with the BBB and filed a dispute eith my credit card. At one point I was told the manufacturer sold their business so production was on hold. When I mentioned that to Penny, she asked who told me that because there was no change in ownership. Tim's actually changed their phone number and name, so perhaps THEY changed ownership, but based on the MANY reviews and complaints on BBB, Google and yelp, this has been their MO for years. How the heck are they still open?!

Where we live we have a huge wasp population (I think I have seen every species possible flying around) so we wanted to avoid open bottom lights as we had issues with wasps building nests in them. Also my husband made it even harder as he didn't want, plain black with clear plain glass, which of course is most the current style. Both Lori and Tracey helped us out. We sat looking at lots of catalogs, checking online. We spent a long time in the store and they were very patient with us. We even found some that we liked, but they were super expensive (of course the catalogs don't have prices, they have to sit with a computer to assist) as we needed 7 lights even they knew that would not be a good pick and we continued searching. We eventually were successful, they ordered our lights and within a week they were ready for pick up. They recommended 2 electricians for us, one they felt especially suited our needs after talking with us. We got quotes from a few local electricians as we live further out, but we also got one from the guy they recommended: Mark from Monocacy Electrical & Lighting Services LLC. He was the most friendly and knowledgeable guy and fairly priced, we used him and were quite happy! Our lights look fantastic, we were very happy with the whole experience. Except the Ouch to the bank account, s there lighting is much more expensive than shopping at Home Depot, but there lighting is unique and fantastic. You get what you pay for as they say.
