This required a straight leg brace for six weeks and crutches for another month. All this significantly impacted my ability to properly rehab the knee with the replacement, as well as the knee with the quadriceps damage. I was referred to Pursuit Therapy and Maryann Daniels by a friend, which was a true blessing because her approach was professional, personal, and hands-on. She was focused on pain management and rehabilitation, which was a balance that I did not receive at the traditional rehab center I went to after surgery. Maryann's personal care and custom rehab program, along with sessions of Shockwave Therapy, not only reduced the pain but allowed a rapid advance towards healing and getting back to my normal workout routine. Because I am currently uninsured and the injury requires prompt medical attention, I completed the office's financial assistance form on Saturday. On Wednesday, I received a call informing me that my financial assistance application was still pending. I explained that I was uninsured and was told, "That's not my problem. The visit starts at $157, not including any additional treatment." I understand that staff members may not be responsible for financial assistance decisions, and I recognize that medical services have associated costs. However, the way this information was communicated was extremely disappointing. Compassion and professionalism are especially important when speaking with patients who are already dealing with an injury and financial concerns. I have worked in the medical field for 26 years, and unfortunately, this interaction did not reflect the level of customer service and empathy I would expect from a healthcare facility. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this practice to others. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and provides additional training on patient communication and empathy.

An inflamed muscle. I pulled something or pushed something wrong during a training run. And now after seeing Rena Bissessar and the people at Vissers Physical Therapy, I feel much better. Expertise, efficiency, humanity -- Vissers is the dream package for PT. Currently, I'm progressing through the care plan, doing the stretches at home, and having a few followups ... but then only for what is necessary. And that's incredible -- past experiences with PT have always been a bit more hit-or-miss and my own comprehension of what needed to be done to get better. And a lot of PT places felt like they weren't really looking to help, they were looking to bill my insurance. Not so with Vissers! I feel like they get the science of PT as well as the art of being able to explain to each individual how to do the work/exercises to feel better faster. No gimmicks. No upsells. What she needed was someone who could help her with the therapy she'd been expecting to do for her new knee, but who would also show her the patience and care she needed as she recovered from the unknowns following the second surgery at the same time. This could have been a real challenge, but the folks at Vissers have been invariably kind and caring. It's been a journey, to say the least -- and having good people beside you at every step is essential. This is what we got at Vissers. Everyone we've interacted with at Vissers has been lovely, but particular praise is due to my mom's individual therapist Rena Bissessar, who has pushed her when she needed pushing, been understanding with her when she needed understanding, and gotten her a long way in an astonishingly short time toward being back on her feet again. What a fantastic person! I genuinely can't recommend Vissers highly enough. Come here to get stronger and better.

I would not recommend this location or the doctors there when looking for a place that will truly…read morecare about your physical recovery. Both myself and my finance went to the Ocoee location. Our experience with this location was initially positive but after a couple of weeks of treatments, we discovered that things may not be on the up and up here. We were in a car accident early in February 2018 and after our consultation with Dr. Naughtin, we met with Dr. Webb. Both were nice and friendly, which was one of the only consistent things I notices about their operation. Some things I noticed - there was no patient chart that was used by the team to best keep track of what treatment plan was being followed. Every visit, and I mean pretty much each visit, I had to remind the nurse, and Dr. Webb what my issues were. When I started getting copies of the claim sheets from my insurance company, I noticed they were charging for therapies that they weren't providing during our visits. For example, they were charging for ultrasound therapy more than two weeks after our first visit even after they told us the therapy is only effective shortly after the accident. They still billed the insurance company after we stopped receiving this therapy. Each time I went in for an adjustment with Dr. Webb, it felt rushed, I would have to explain my pain ALL OVER AGAIN with each visit and he would do the same two adjustments which never seemed to provide relief. I have seen chiropractors before and since going to see Dr. Webb, even at places like The Joint, and got more thorough adjustments so I know it's possible. With that being said, on my last visit, and I never went back after this happened, he tweeted my neck in a way to which I still feel pain two years later. The physical therapy aspect was a joke. We would be given a few exercises to do at their location but it was never really a tailored program for rehabilitation. When the insurance company sent me for a follow-up with one of their chosen doctors, she said the physical therapy exercises these doctors were having me do wouldn't address my areas of concern. This is something I've dived deeper into since my visits to this location as I have made progress with better trained therapists... on my own dime... because this location sucked up all my insurance benefits. Some days, the facility was so busy with people being shoved into corners for different therapies and without any really patient charts, who is keeping track of everything? I felt like a number who was only there so they could feed off of my insurance dollars and drive up my rate without providing me any pain relief. So, long story short, anything that seems too good to be true probably is. We thought this location would be a great place for us to recover but it ended up causing us more pain. I wouldn't recommend going to see these doctors as they really are all about getting in more people so they can suck your benefits dry. This claim has since resurfaced now that it seems there was some sort of legal case between this location and my insurance provider.

After the result got back, it turns out the disk slip and it was hitting the nerves on my right leg. He recommended me to get an epidural injection in his clinic. Now it's one day after the injection, although it's still a little sore from it, my back is pain free and I could walk normal again. Definitely recommend Dr. Nwaogwugwu to my friends and families.

Thanks to Ginny and Asha, my hips are so much stronger. Just as important, they taught me exactly what to keep doing at home so I can maintain the progress and keep improving. I'm now continuing pelvic floor physical therapy with Asha, and it has been incredibly helpful (to say the least!). Pelvic floor PT is so much more than I ever realized. I learn something new every session, and I've already noticed real improvements in my day-to-day life.
