Always prefer this parking lot over any of the garages. Easy in and out. Lot always has attendant, so it's safer than most parking.

Get your act together, LAZ, or you don't deserve to do business in our city.

This company is completely incompetent. God help you if you ever accidentally leave your key card in your car as the garage is fully locked except business hours. There's a "call for emergencies" button just outside the locked door but nobody answers it. I locked my key card in my car yesterday and after hitting that button and letting it ring for 20 min I finally called the main office number (9 am on a Saturday). The guy that answered had the unfortunate qualities of being both very rude and incredibly stupid. I explained the situation and he repeatedly, rudely, told me I had to use the call box by the door. I told him repeatedly that I was calling the number because nobody was answering the call box - you could hear it ringing in the background of our call too as it's rather loud. I don't know if he was drunk, high, hungover or just extremely stupid, but he kept repeated "LISTEN! you have to hang up your phone and use the call box." Dude, that's why I was calling the main office number, because nobody's answering! After nearly 40 min someone finally used the garage and I was able to enter and access my car. This is the third or fourth time it's happened over the years, same result each time. Park anywhere but Laz if you're able.

Pulling into departures is easy, you can hop right out and be in the security lines which move at a decent pace. I also flew Avelo for the first time and I'm not a fan. We had about an hour delay with no communication except a sudden gate change. I'm not sure if people forget that humans are animals, I don't because they ALWAYS show it. The gate change resulted in people running which is crazy because you can see all the gates from one damn viewpoint. The gate change resulted in chaos boarding and having to stand outside in the wind and rain despite priority boarding. The flight attendant were great and accommodating! I brought my seatbelt extender just in case and unfortunately Avelo uses a different kind. They were able to accommodate me quickly. The airport is convenient I think but I'd imagine can be stressful if you're moving on a tight schedule.

We drove through the compact parking lot (easy to navigate, though not exactly scenic) and parked in the unofficial observation area, which is really just a bumpy, dusty lot with a decent line of sight to the terminal and runway. It's not glamorous, but it's free, and for aviation watchers or curious passersby, it offers a surprisingly satisfying view. We felt lucky to catch not just one, but two departures in quick succession: an Avelo flight to Jacksonville and a Breeze Airways jet bound for Raleigh-Durham. For an airport this size, that kind of timing felt almost serendipitous like we'd stumbled into a moment of rare activity. Both planes lifted off smoothly, framed by the marshy shoreline and low-slung terminal. Tweed doesn't host the big legacy carriers, but it's clearly carving out a niche with budget-friendly routes and quick turnarounds. From our vantage point, it felt like a small airport doing exactly what it's meant to, quietly connecting people without the chaos. [Review 1063 of 2025 - 116 in Connecticut - 24617 overall]
