I'm hoping it's not something that happens often. The thing I like about this garage is that you can leave your car here overnight. I went to New York City for 3 days and 2 nights and left my car in the garage the entire time, and picked it up when I returned. You take a ticket when you enter the garage, and pay when you leave the garage. Overall I paid around $52. Make sure you don't lose your ticket! Also, something interesting that happened was that they were filming Ray Donovan at the station when I came back from New York, so they had signs all over the place directing staff on where to go. I'd leave my car here again if I ever took another trip. The garage was clean and well maintained, and they had plenty of open spots when I got there on a Monday morning (around 9:30am).

If you are parking on street or at the surface lots, there are meters; usually the fees can be paid via an app. At the garages, there are ticket booths, pull out a ticket, then pay once you leave. Temple Street Parking Garage was easy to find. It is located near shops and restaurants. I parked there for a Yelp event at the NOA restaurant. There were elevators; it was kind of confusing since there were two elevators that goes to different exits. I parked there for about 2.5 hours and paid $9. The parking attendant was not the friendliest but I don't expect top customer service at a parking garage. Most importantly, I felt safe parking there, it was well lit, and my car was untouched. In the future, I would park there again.

We had about an hour delay with no communication except a sudden gate change. I'm not sure if people forget that humans are animals, I don't because they ALWAYS show it. The gate change resulted in people running which is crazy because you can see all the gates from one damn viewpoint. The gate change resulted in chaos boarding and having to stand outside in the wind and rain despite priority boarding. The flight attendant were great and accommodating! I brought my seatbelt extender just in case and unfortunately Avelo uses a different kind. They were able to accommodate me quickly. The airport is convenient I think but I'd imagine can be stressful if you're moving on a tight schedule.

There is an interesting underground path that takes you to the main station. It is a very small station compared to others in New York City or Philly. There was a small gift shop and a Dunkin Donuts which had a large line. Outside there was a crowd of people waiting for an Uber or the local bus to downtown. It cost about $20 each way from the city. It was only my first time in New Haven so I didn't know what to compare it to. It was a cloudy rainy day so everyone seemed miserable.
