They offer visual and creative arts classes for people of all ages and skill levels. Shortly after learning about Art House I signed up for a six week pottery on the wheel class. I had never used a pottery wheel before, and I really enjoyed it (even though I'm not too great at it). The instructor, Billy Ritter, was fantastic. Really helpful, friendly and laid back. He is also very diplomatic with his comments on our less than perfect creations throughout the weeks. I took the class solo but was really happy with the group setting and made friends with the other people in the class. I also attended a glass mosaic class that was a good time. Art House offers a large variety of classes for adults, kids and kids with family members, and open studio time for ceramics as well. These would make excellent gifts! The classes are also great if you're looking to do something on your own or with friends. Art House offers summer programs for kids, birthday parties, etc. AH has a large variety of things to offer and they change/update them every few months. AH currently offers monthly "Sippin' in the Studio" single night classes in which they provide a few glasses of vino to get your creativity flowing and range from glass mosaics to jewelry making. It's always nice walking around 78th street studios. It can get a little overwhelming because the building is so big and you may get lost but just follow the signs posted on the walls to find out where you're going. My only suggestion is to avoid parking nearby and just walk to 78th Street Studios until they respray the parking lot lines and fill in some of the potholes...

Even if they emailed back to say they can't refund the money, I would be fine with that, but NO RESPONSE seems intentional. UPDATE: Immediately after writing this review I suddenly got an email saying "you've been refunded, it takes a few days", no apology or explanataion. Wonderful! Would have loved that communication a week ago.

I was thumbing through a magazine and saw a painting hanging in a fancy house and I fell in love!! Way out of my budget probably. So I thought to myself, how hard can that be to make myself? It's an abstract, maybe I can figure it out. Still I was frozen in self doubt! Then I remembered that advertisement I saw online and contacted the artist offering the classes. Denyse was kind, helpful and insightful. She gave me suggestions, directed me to videos of her classes that would help me and even followed up!! So much encouragement, I feel like I can do it.
