This business does a very good job at repairing older shoes. They can put on new soles, repair, torn, stitching, and so forth. If you have an older pair of shoes that otherwise feel good and or broken in and you don't want to buy a new pair, This is an excellent way to extend the lifetime of the shoes that you prefer to wear. Amazing service. I took a pair of Ugg leather motorcycle style boots if that I purchased at a theist store a couple of years ago. They leaked and needed new heels. Dropped them off, $44 and a week later I have an almost brand new pair of boots. My only "complaint" would be, there is a a shoe tack that was missing, I guess I just assumed that they would have replaced that... this is my first experience with a shoe repair shop, however the repairs they did make look great!! Thankfully I haven't had to wear the boots yet, but I'm excited that my feet won't get wet now! I would use their services again and recommend them to someone! read more

I have a bit of a shoe obsession. I like precarious, gorgeous, high end, high heeled shoes. BUT with great shoes comes great responsibility. One must replace heels and tips regularly, repair worn elastic, condition the leather, cover scuffs and occasionally perform emergency surgery. Just such surgery was needed when I snapped the heel on a 4.5 in. pair of YSL patent leather d'orsay stilettos. (Originally $720, I paid $80!!!) The Italian Cobbler told me that they just don't make replacement pins for shaped European heels that high anymore. However, he had a few ideas. He held on to my precious shoes until he had a chance to talk with someone who had an old one and was willing to trade. He performed a miracle! Now my beloved shoes look as good as new. What was lost is now found!!! Joy!!!!! Since that time, he's replaced the stays in my Coach mules, the elastic in my Kate Spade kitten sling backs, fixed the heels on my Ralph Lauren boots and Vera Wang slingbacks, fixed the scuff on my Bruno Maglis and re-done countless heels and tips. The only complaint I have is that his scuff and polishing work is not as good as the shoe shine guy in my building. That's fine-- he can do the surgery, leave the cosmetics to my shoe shine guy. I've taken two bags and one pair of shoes to the Italian Cobbler shop, and they've done an amazing and outstanding job each time. My wife's pair of boots that I took in came out BETTER than new, and the price was great. I'm an avid bargain shopper, and when I lucked into the most amazing pair of Christian Louboutin heels at a killer price online, of course I plucked them up - ordering my regular shoe size. Simply-styled sandals with no metal, but with enough leather area to cover---wider around-the-ankle strap, and single wide piece over top of foot. The lining of an Italian leather purse I owned for mere weeks started falling apart, so I brought it here. When I dropped it, the lining was frayed and one shoe/leather repair place had already declined to attempt to fix it. They called me with two repair options, the more expensive (and correct way) being $30. To me, that's a small price to have a good-as-new purse. If you have a pair of Louboutins that need Vibram soles applied in a skilled, precise and artisan manner, bring them here. I just picked up my pair today and they look incredible! The pricing was very conservative and the turnover time was great (I only had to wait 3 days, which is fast compared to another cobbler I consulted with). The staff is wonderful; they are all very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I'm told that the cobbler who worked on my shoes takes Louboutins very serious: He did my shoes first thing in the morning, so he'd be at his best. My shoes were obviously handled with care, as they look just as they did when I dropped them off, meaning brand new out-of-the-box without a speck of anything on them. By judging the end result, I suspect he's done hundreds of Louboutins with Vibrams. If you bring your Loubis here, rest assured they will look fabulous. In addition to the work I had done, I also managed to snag some suede/nubuck cleaner and an all-material protectant that I so desperately needed months ago. They have plenty of accessories, cleaners, etc., and will help you out in choosing the best one. My shoes looked fantastic and they were up front and clear about what they could do for me. I had my leather boots buffed and shined and the small tip at the tip of the heel replaced. I also had another pair of boots that had quite a bit of damage to the suede heel. They told my my repair and pricing options and I decided to have them glue and dye the heel so that the damage isn't as obvious, the tip of the heel was replaced on this boot as well. The whole shebang cost about $25 and I feel like I have two new pairs of shoes! I would recommend this place to anyone who is as hard on their shoes as I am. Don't throw them out! The Italian Cobbler is a genius. I purchased a pair of jimmy Choo's and soon found why they were on sale. The toe opening was so tiny that after 15 minutes my toes were numb and pinched. I brought them to the cobbler. He cut new leather that matched beautifully. He matched the gold screws for the wood. He measured my foot so the opening was perfect. Voila!! Brought my favorite Fossil purse here to be re-stained. It was originally black but I had used it for so long it was now a bad shade of gray. I had been unable to find another purse to compare so I looked into getting it redone. I was able to send them a message thru Yelp and someone responded to me within maybe 10-15 minutes with an estimate. I was impressed as it was late on a Sunday night! I took my purse the next Saturday and was told it would take a week or two. (Can't remember exactly). When I got my purse back I was impressed. It looked brand new. My only complaint was that the handles were still a bit tacky but was assured it would completely cure in a week. It took a bit longer than that but all is well! I will absolutely be using them again in the future. They were very thorough and answered every question I had and even answered questions I didn't think to ask. read more

Initially, I chose to go to "The Italian Cobbler" because of the reviews online here. I further noticed that they repaired garments. I then proceeded to take my garment that needed to be repaired. I verified if they could do the repair. They confirmed that they would be able to repair it and that "I won't be even to tell it was repaired". I then gave them to repair my garment. My brand new garment that had a small imperfection was ruined by their repair. The stitching was well off, and their "magic" was more like a nightmare. The repair was very noticeable. They didn't even care to show me the repair they did (probably because they knew they messed it up), I had to do all the inspecting myself. I then found "Gold Star Tailoring" in Westlake. Emma, the wife in this husband -wife business also agreed that the repair done initially by " The Italian Cobbler" was not correctly done, and that she would repair it. She charged the same amount to fix it, that "The Italian Cobbler" charged me to ruin it. "Gold Star Tailoring" had the same turn around time, and the repair was flawless. I will no longer give any business to "The Italian Cobbler". Avoid this company unless you want you're items haphazardly done and/or ruined. read more

I have this pair of Italian Shoes that I absolutely love I searched everywhere in the internet to purchase a new pair but they are gone. I was about ready to throw them out when I thought about taking them in for a tune up. I pretty much wrote them off since the heel was missing about 3/8th of material at the end. I stopped in to the Italian Cobbler on Sat morning and picked up that pair and a black pair on Tuesday. The shoes looked absolutely amazing heel was perfect and they polished them back to a like new condition. I took a similar pair of black shoes in that were in much better condition and they were like NEW again... Italian Cobbler saved me over $400 that is what I would have spent for 2 new pairs of shoes.. I almost forgot about this great art of shoe repair now I am a client forever! I've taken 2 items into The Italian Cobbler, and both have been great experiences. The first was a pair of shoes that I had worn a hole through the sole... they replaced those with even better quality soles than the shoes originally had (and they are some high-quality, well-made shoes). The second item was the more complicated one... I took a kelly green leather purse in for cleaning. I was skeptical as far as how much they could actually do, because of wear and staining, etc. I just got it back and it seriously looks brand new... its amazing. read more
