Weidig's are absolute miracle makers…read more My mother passed away unexpectedly, and she wished to be buried green, just as my father was. Because of that, we needed to have her buried the very same day she was brought home from the hospital. Honestly, I'm still not sure how I held myself together enough to do any of this. My daughter and I walked into Weidig's that morning, overwhelmed with grief, crying, barely able to get the words out. We arrived mid-morning and needed multiple arrangements - flowers from the grandchildren, flowers for my mom from the siblings, and individual flowers to place on the casket - all for that same day. Not only did they manage to create and deliver everything within just a few hours, but the flowers were the most beautiful arrangements I have ever seen. What they did felt nothing short of a miracle. Beyond their incredible talent, they were so kind, compassionate, and heartfelt during one of the hardest moments of my life. This is a WHOLESALE business, who luckily allows limited retail sales. In general, they do NOT do…read morearrangements/bouquets, but sell everything to make your own (vases, foam, containers, spray paints.) Flowers and greens are in larger quantities than most would need for a simple arrangement, so unless you have several to make, stick to your favorite local florist (whom probably got their flowers from Allied anyway!) That said, everyone is very friendly, and Savannah has always been most-helpful with all my requests and needs. There are 3 coolers: a large walk-in greens cooler; a huge walk-in main flower cooler; and a large reach-in tropicals cooler, with orchids, anthuriums, birds of paradise, bromeliads, etc. Allied is not for the typical retail customer, but if you make large arrangements or need a weekly supply of a wide variety of flowers and greens, this is the only place to go.

My wedding was in January, and they assured me that the flowers would be fine. I asked if there was anything we needed to be weary of, or perhaps if we should use some non traditional elements so we didn't rely so heavily on the flowers lasting through the cold. I was assured they would be fine. The day of the wedding the bouquets, men's flowers, corsages and etc. arrived in disarray. The men's flowers were all mislabeled and the mothers' corsages were crushed. We were unable to reach anyone at the shop for help. We were also hugely disappointed with the flowers at the reception. They were just lack luster, and much smaller than promised. All of these things do not begin to bother me as much as the email response that I received from a series of phone calls with the owner, in which he chose to personally degrade my character rather than show any level of compassion.
