I'm a chef and kitchen stores are my kryptonite, so when I saw this one I knew I just had to come in. Upon walking in, I knew it wasn't right for me and wanted to leave immediately but I decided to peruse a bit anyway. Sufficed to say, we didn't spend much time in here. I would agree with other reviewers that it is like a Williams Sonoma but local and I appreciate that. I, in no means, am not telling you not to shop here, please do support a local business. There are many items in this store and it can feel a bit overwhelming and the aisles are cramped big time. Not many people can be in here at the same time. The pricing is high and you can absolutely find some of the same items at a department store for a better price. The staff here didn't seem to care about customers, which is odd for a local business but maybe it was an off day. I'm sure Saturdays at the end of the season can be tough. read more

Kitchen goods store with a lot to offer. They have a nice selection of Lodge and Finex cast iron skillets as well as Shun knives! I'm a little biased because I've ever seen Shun knives In a physical store before so it was a real treat! The only complaint I have is some of the aisles are so close together that if they are moderately busy you will be constantly interrupted by people excusing themselves to squeeze by you. Not a big deal, but it's hard to focus on anything when you have to keep moving every 10 seconds. read more

This is the worst retail establishment I have ever been to in my life. Their entire stock of kitchen accessories reads " Not Available" , that is , of course , except for the high priced , top of the line items. When asked about this they simply told me they're " sold out " , of all the lower to mid priced items. This is an absolute crock. They think they're fooling the consumer by this under- handed business practice. Time for everyone to boycott the Kiss the Cook store on Church Street in Burlington , until when , and if , they ever stop playing games with shoppers. Again , I'm talking about the fact they are claiming they are literally sold out of over half the store , in multiple departments. If you want to be subject to deceptive business practices , simply go in and find out for your self. My wife and I will never , ever , step foot inside again. read more

Kiss the Cook is a very pleasant kitchen gadget store in the same genus as LeRoux Kitchen (Portland, Portsmouth) or Williams Sonoma. It sports a very impressive cutlery collection in addition to the standard Le Creuset wares, juicers and unitaskers. If you're looking for something for a Yankee Swap, or if you want to brighten the day of a foodie you know, make your way over. read more

The billionaire Tilman says to treat every customer like it's your last customer, because if you don't treat them right, someone else is ready to take them from you! I went into Kiss the Cook to buy a simple pot holder. The guy at the register acted like I was a huge pain in his ass. He was not friendly, and not interested in chatting. I'm not going back. Who wants to feel like you are an imposition when you want to buy something? I'm reading the KTC reviews...It was a busy day, so maybe when it's really busy, and the going gets tough, the cashiers collapse. Change it up, friends, because you can't just depend on your fancy Creuset crock pots and a past reputation. You need to be friendly and kind to your customers. Kiss the Cook is like a locally owned Williams Sonoma. I have the same set of emotions about both stores. I love them, but I hardly ever buy anything in either. But if you need high end kitchen gear and want to support the locals, here's where to do it. They have a great selection of everything from pans to knives, to funky dishes....and a drool-worthy aray of Le Cruset. They also have aprons....that say kiss the cook. read more

I guess I was expecting something else in terms of atmosphere when other reviewers described this store as a local Williams Sonoma. It's more like any other kitchen gadget store with bright fluorescent lights and a few aisles. Bonus points for carrying both Le Creuset and Staub cookware. I feel like a lot of these items (vegetable peelers, baking liners, juicers) you could find in the home section of any department store (including the cheaper ones like JCP and Bon-Ton). It's not really anything special. I get there's a draw to supporting a local business but for other out-of-towners, I wouldn't make a special point to come here unless you desperately needed an egg timer. read more

Never bring your knives here for sharpening!!! They ruined $1200 worth of steel for me, then the manager laughed in my face when I asked what in the world could have happened! He accused me of using an electric sharpener, and that I had ruined my own knives. I will never give them any business. read more

This place is fantastic! In a recent visit to the Burlington area I came across this store . I waked in and immediately went to the large array of Le crueset they have ! The owner was fantastic knowing I couldn't carry it all on the phone with me home they shipped it all at a very minimal cost and it arrived to my house in New Jersey 2 days later packaged beautifully. Anything they don't have in stock they can order directly from Le crueset so the sky is the limit! I will be calling in to this store and having them ship anything I need for all my future upcoming Le crueset purchases ! read more
