Katy is a genuine soul and it shows that she really loves her work. She assisted in recommending many of the St. Augustine vendors which we selected and she was always prompt with her communication via e-mail, text, and phone calls. We met with her in person to work on developing the timeline of our wedding and the final walk through of the venue with her and our caterer. One of the areas we were most concerned about was the changing of the courtyard from the ceremony to dance floor/high-tops for the reception, which is known as the "Flip". Katy presented several options and eased our mind that no matter what we decided it would be executed smoothly. Our specific day of coordinators were Ashley and Christine who were FANTASTIC. The evening prior to the wedding they led the dress rehearsal and they did a walk-through of the location/decor to plan for the big-day. They were on top of everything: decorations, organizing, keeping to the timeline, and handling issues with ease. I started the wedding day slightly tense about how the day would go. Within no time Ashley and Christine were hard at work in making making magic to ensure everything came together. When we walked down after getting ready, we were blown away by how they brought all our planning to life. Throughout the event they kept the night on pace and were available at a moments notice. The "Flip" was executed quickly for us to take family portraits and then set up the reception. They helped with everything from helping with my insane bustle (17 hooks was way too many!) to handling the power being tripped at the venue twice. I must admit due to their hard work our wedding was absolutely gorgeous and stress free! I opted in for the Day of Coordinator because I had already selected all of my other vendors. I also paid extra to have Coastal Coordinating put out my florals that I created. Chloe was MIA minutes before the ceremony - the venue had to stick me in a random room to avoid being seen by the groom. Chloe or one of her helpers broke one of my pillars (decor) and proceeded to put it in the ceremony instead of informing me or leaving it out - it looked so awful. Half the florals I had arranged for the reception weren't put out despite paying extra for this service - my bridesmaids and I were the ones having to put them out while guests were lining up to enter the space. The owner is VERY unprofessional and never bothered trying to have a conversation with me about my experience. Instead she made up lies as an excuse for providing such poor service. I did not have a single problem with any of my other vendors. Would not recommend Coastal Coordinating.

The company who manages it: Sue, Jake and Simon are a different story. Jake makes promises that he can't keep. Sue isn't organized and visible overwhelmed. Didn't work with Simon much, but when we did he backtracked on a lot of his answers to questions. No one could give me a solid answer on lights. Lights were supposedly hung by a licensed electrician. I've never seen a licensed electrician leave power cords with exposed openings hanging on the side of the building. Sue is great for trying to make the property's problem, your problem. Make sure you get EVERYTHING in writing. My clients absolutely LOVED the property which is THE only reason we stayed. If you use this property, please please please, get a day of coordinator to handle the mess of Sue and Simon (Jake has been MIA for months)! Don't rely on them or you may end up with LED backyard lights!

As expected (without the original wedding planner) a few things went wrong along the way. I confronted Sue, the owner, with the issues in writing via email and she made it right with us in the end. We are confident since the company took responsibility we will be able to put the small things behind us in our future memories of our big day with the closure we received. It was a beautiful day on Clearwater Beach and we do have a lot to applaud Sun Coast Wedding for! I just wish it was perfect, but doesn't every bride? :) My advice: read your contract and make sure your original planner will be at your wedding! There were a few things I was promised and/or misunderstood with my original planner. Such as, Sun Coast is not your wedding "coordinators". They are your wedding "planners". Example: If you have things that need to be set up (like personal decor) they are not responsible for setting it up because it is not in the contract. If there was one…read morething I was absolutely certain of, it was that I didn't want us to skimp on our wedding photography, because you are paying for your memories that you'll look back on the rest of your life. Once we reserved the Florida Aquarium as our venue, our attention immediately turned to finding the right photographers. We started with the aquarium's preferred vendor list, because the lighting in there is so challenging. The ceremony is in front of a giant coral reef tank, and I didn't want to see a camera flash bouncing back in every photo (once you see it, I feel like that's ALL you can see!). So when I looked at all of the weddings Limelight had done in the aquarium, none of their photos had that problem. I found myself immediately drawn to Limelight's gorgeous photos. Every picture I saw was stunning and vibrant, and made every couple of theirs look like they belonged in a magazine. I just knew I had to have them for our wedding as well. Rebecca and Michael Zoumberos were our photographers, and they were wonderful! We were originally booked with a different lead photographer, but when it turned out that she was getting married around the same time as our wedding, Limelight upgraded us at no charge to having Rebecca and Michael be our photographers instead! I loved how detailed oriented and thorough they are. We spoke over the phone with Rebecca several times to go over our timeline and shot lists, and we had to fill out a lengthy questionnaire as well. It took time, but it was absolutely worth it in the long run because they made sure we got every single photo we wanted. Rebecca is an absolute pro at creating a wedding day timeline! The turnaround time to get our photos was three weeks, just as they had said it would be. They turned out just stunning, and I'm so glad we'll have these beautiful photos to treasure for the rest of our lives.
