I was out shopping with a friend looking for some art work for her home, and stumbled across this jewelry line by an artist from Toronto, Dean Davidson. I purchased this gorgeous gold drop pendant with many tiny little cubic zirconias that are suspended from the neckline. There was also a bracelet that matched it, and I splurged and bought both! The antiques and furniture in here were well curated and they had some really nice pieces of furniture too. I walked out with the cutest little packaging for my purchase too. There is no better place to buy high-quality, locally made mementos, and affordable ones at that! Charleston Crafts is no exception. If I had unlimited funds, I'd clean this place out. Their selection runs the gamut of art forms and medias. Metal, wood, paper, ceramics, textiles, jewelry, glass, it's all here and then some. I spent a good half hour just perusing everything they have to offer. I've never seen a more extensive display of diverse artistry at a cooperative gallery. The Lowcountry is home to a ridiculous number of talented craftspeople. So when you're out and about downtown, don't forget to make a pit stop at Charleston Crafts. What better way to remember your trip to Charleston than with a unique craft or two? They're way cooler than mass-produced keychains and magnets. Oh, they have reading glasses here for six dollars a piece, in a variety of strengths colors and designs. I found a clear pair which was awesome, and they also sell some French soap that smelled so good. I had to buy a bar there too. I'm crazy for the honey almond scent.

Pendant lights, floor lamps, table lamps too. I ended up buying two platters for my mother and for myself. They are currently offering some discounts on their rugs, lanterns and pottery as well. The two platters that are slightly over a dinner size plates were $89 a apiece, less the discount. $72 each with the discount, less taxes. The plates from Istanbul are beautiful here.

I feel like the overall vibe of the furniture fits the Charleston area, there was sort of a beach house or summer home feeling to quite a bit of the furniture. They have a design center in the back of the store with several fabrics to choose from, apparently they offer some customization of the furniture based on the fabric selections that they have on hand.
