I've emailed them more than once on this issue, originally just asking for an update on when my order would be shipped. I have received no response whatsoever, yet they post on their instagram dozens of times a day on their story. The email I have been contacting is the exact email that is associated with their confirmation emails when you place an order, it is not a no reply email. It even says in the confirmation email to contact it or reply with any questions. So either that's a lie and no one monitors the email, or they're flat out ignoring my concerns over my order that I paid for. Either way, I am extremely disappointed. Examples like these are what make it harder to support certain small businesses over major corporations.

When I arrived, they did not have any dresses from the bride's showroom available for me to try on. Instead, I was asked to try on dresses that were nearly ten sizes too large. After that, they asked if I was ready to order my dress. They took my measurements and told me I was an XS. I selected a dress, but when it arrived, it was about three sizes too big. When I raised my concerns, their response was that "all dresses need alterations" and that it was a slip dress. While I understood that alterations would be needed for length, the issues went far beyond that. The built-in undergarment, which typically extends past the hip or butt area, stopped at the top of my rib cage. Because of this, the line of the fabric is clearly visible through the front of the dress. This is a design and sizing issue, not a minor alteration. Despite expressing these concerns, Bella Bridesmaids continued to dismiss them by repeating that all dresses require alterations, which was frustrating and unhelpful given the extent of the problems.

Around August of 2024, I was professionally measured in-store for a bridesmaid dress and ordered my…read moresize based entirely on the measurements the stylist provided. When the dress arrived, it was significantly too small. I measured the dress myself and compared it to the designer's size chart, and the inches matched a size 00 despite the tag saying size 0. When I contacted the shop, I was told, "Oh, bodies change, especially at your age!" I'm 25, and my measurements have not changed. The problem wasn't my body, it was that the bust measurement recorded in-store was simply not accurate. The measurement they documented (31.5") was several inches smaller than my actual bust size then and now (33.5-34"). That discrepancy is exactly why the dress did not zip. What bothered me even more was the response. Instead of acknowledging the possibility of an error, the blame was placed on me. I was offered "solutions" that required me to spend more money on top of the $500 I had already paid for the dress, such as buying a new gown at their wholesale price ($250) or paying for additional fabric. None of these options accounted for the fact that the issue originated with the fitting, not with me. Because the wedding was approaching, I ended up paying an additional $210 to a separate tailor to add panels so the dress would fit. It was stressful, expensive, and honestly embarrassing to be told the problem was my body rather than the incorrect measurement that started all of this. UPDATE; I heard from the manager, but even then, the store continued to stand by their paperwork instead of acknowledging what actually happened. I'm not seeking a refund or a new dress (the wedding was a year ago), but I am sharing this so other customers know what to expect. My experience was frustrating, dismissive, and lacked accountability. I would be cautious before spending money here.

How does this Tina Stephens compare to other locations? I can only compare this location to the one on King Street downtown- or the web site. This location is on the one hand more intimate and easier to get in and out than the downtown location. There tends to be only one staff person and that individual tends to be less knowledgeable BUT the downtown staff is just a phone call away for them. Also, if you know what you want, they can get it. Other than the basics (see below), both stores offer many items not available at all on the website (which is a unique thing about this company). 2. What the heck IS Tina Stephens? Tina Stephens is a clothing store that sells the best leggings ever. My favorites are the micro rib. Sometimes when I am at work hurrying through my day I actually notice how comfortable they are (and have a moment of gratitude). The leggings come in a large number of trending colors and they also have matching tanks, v-necks, Mock turtle neck and other style tops, as well as skirts and dresses. Plus, they sell a unique style of elegant (but not too dressy- perfect for my work environment) clothes that go with leggings/tops/bottoms. If you only look at the website you might think "this stuff looks like sausage casing, I can't wear that" but it's the other clothes they sell in the stores (but not as much in the website) that makes it all so flattering. It's worth taking some time in the store to figure it all out.
