My friend from university recently passed, and his visitation was held at Linnemann. I was very…read moreimpressed with the extent of preparations that went into the evening on such short notice: - Two funeral home attendants each stationed at both the front and rear entrances. - Guest books at both entrances. - Cards for donations. - A writing station for loved ones to scribe their favorite memories of the deceased. - An entire room filled with photo collages of his life. - A color booklet with pictures and a detailed story of my friend's life, including quotes about fond memories from his family. There were enough booklets so that everyone in attendance could take one home. - A 15 minute video complete with moving images, music and quotes from and about my friend. It was edited in storytelling fashion, discussing his life from beginning, to university and beyond, both hardships and high points. The visitation was an open casket. While a person never resembles how you remember them in life, Linnemann did a fine job of making him appear at rest. Next to the casket was a poster board featuring the last speech my friend wrote. He was a motivational speaker and this made for a beautiful touch. Sadly, I've attended many funerals in my life, but Linnemann has by far offered the best service. The facility itself is modern, clean, and bright. The rooms are spacious and can accommodate large groups of mourners. There are also plenty of chairs and couches in each of the rooms. Ample free parking is available in the lot across the street as well. Linnemann went above and beyond to make a comfortable grieving process for both my friend's relatives and for those who knew him socially. It was the perfect bridge of connecting his loved ones of all ages and from all walks of life.

We recently (as of this review) lost our unborn child in the first trimester and, despite a miscarriage, managed to recover the tiny body. We immediately knew we wanted to honor our child and bury them, but had no idea where to begin. After some web searches and a call to some funeral homes, we found Heaven's Gain and I gave a nervous call. Donna answered and immediately expressed condolences for our loss as we informed her why we were calling. We began to try to ask tough questions, and I'm so grateful for Donna's willingness to ready and kindly provide such great information which made me feel less like I needed to have all the right questions ready during such a hard time. She was empathetic, compassionate, sensitive and so wonderful during the entire call. Because of her help, we felt we could make an informed decision on how to proceed which we so desperately needed. We chose to bury our child, and I greatly appreciated the fantastic information they had on their site and that Donna gave us by phone as well as to what our options would/could be. We visited their new physical location and they had a beautiful selection of caskets. Donna, before we began choosing a casket, sat us down and didn't launch into any sales talk; instead she asked about us, how we were personally doing and took time to get to know us and our situation. She gave us wonderful advice and tips on how to handle ourselves and our loss as we start to move forward from our loss. We never felt pressured into buying or doing anything; in fact, Donna was clear that whether we chose Heaven's Gain or not, they were also available to help us and be there for a call and listening ear to help. We were blown away with how giving and kind they were. They have beautiful caskets available and gave us great information about what we would need depending on how we laid our child to rest. Through this terrible loss, Heaven's Gain has been one bright spot that has given us hope - there are people and organizations available that help make the roughest times bearable, that people can be truly selfless and caring to others even when they have no obligation, and that kindness from caring strangers can make the biggest difference when you're in the worst of places. I cannot even recommend Heaven's Gain Ministries enough. Donna was amazing and this group is incredible to work with, even while we were dealing with the most terrible loss. They gave us the chance to be informed, without being pressured, on dealing with laying our unborn child to rest and helped us every step of the way. So glad this organization exists and thank you to the leaders and volunteers who help make this resource and support possible.

As soon as i saw it, i wanted one for the baby i lost to SIDS 11yrs. ago. The mom forgot where she bought it from so i started searching for it in the internet and it brought me to Heaven's Gain. They have the non-urn version of the sleeping baby in angel wings so i ordered right there and then. I love that this organization have plenty of options and variations because these items will serve as a memorial piece for our beloved children/babies. The shipping was fast and it was packaged securely. It brought me to tears seeing my order. It's the most perfect memorial for my baby boy, especially the message written on the angel wings and the size of it is perfect.
