There was a long wait to get an appointment, and the staff wasn't the most professional or friendly. It was hard to even reach someone. I waited for my appointment, and ended up having to call in to reschedule. When I called to reschedule my upcoming appointment, the receptionist had 'no record' of my appointment. I guess they didn't successfully schedule it or mark it down. This was discouraging and disheartening, but we went ahead and rescheduled and I waited the long wait to the next appointment. When it was almost to my appointment day, the office called me to let me know that I could no longer be a patient there because I was a 'no call, no show.' Without speaking with me, they cancelled the long awaited appointment (at this point it had been almost three months just trying to get in to see Dr. Niran). I called in to try to clear up the misunderstanding. Explaining that I wasn't a no call, no show. Perhaps the office staff didn't see the originally scheduled appointment, but it was somehow successfully scheduled somewhere--and then when I didn't show up for the appointment (they said they didn't even have on their books), I was marked a no call no show? I'm not sure what happened on their end, but I am very responsible and communicative. Whenever I do need to reschedule, I call in advance. The receptionist just went on to lecture me about why the policy is important. I'm like "I agree, but I didn't not call and just not show up and you said I didn't even have an appointment. How could I even be absent for an appointment that, the last time I called in, you told me you didn't have scheduled. They are all over the place over there, and I was losing patience. They said in about a week they could get back with me about if I would be able to be seen as a patient. I told them there really must've been some sort of mistake. I did not earn the 'no call, no show' punishment. They called today saying that we would not be able to be seen because I 'missed an appointment.' There was no understanding or hearing me that it was a clerical error on their office's part and I got falsely accused and kicked out for their mistake. I'm just trying to take care of my daughter. I've already waited three months to see Dr. Niran Al-Agba. Now I guess I have to start from scratch. My child is now going to be due for her 15 month appointment. 've completely missed the milestone 12 month exam. I waited and waited for my Silverdale Pediatrics' appointment, nervous about her going without a check-up for months. Now I'll probably have to wait again to have her seen by another new Doctor elsewhere. They could've at least kicked us out right after the supposed no call no show, rather than making me wait a month just to tell me days before my long-awaited appointment. I waited all that time for nothing. So unfair. This is not right/unethical treatment of a patient who needs care and her mother who is responsible and communicative.

Take heed, this is coming from an individual who knows what they are talking about. I am someone with a lot of experience in senior living communities. I've seen many examples from all over the country (east coast, west coast, southern USA), and can confidently say that Bainbridge Senior Living is the worst I've come across. What is promised to families during tours is not followed through on. Not only that, they fail miserably. Do not be fooled by the shiny exterior or the convincing marketing staff. You would think that given the price residents have to pay in order to live within one of there communities that these facilities would be top-notch. Absolutely not the case. I would argue that people with positive feedback regarding BSL have not looked hard enough. My number one issue is the general lack of integrity. The activity calendar, which is used as a focal point when selling rooms, is almost never followed through on. Nothing ever seems to be happening in memory care. Furthermore the building's architectural design does not seem to have the needs of memory care in mind. Usually there is an outdoor area readily available to memory care residents to walk freely in. It is an essential feature. In this case there is only a tiny balcony available that, as I see it, can fit three people comfortably. Keep in mind there are many more than three residents on any given floor. This means residents have to wait until a staff member is available to take them down to the bottom floors where they can access the gardens/grounds. How often do you think this happens when there is a staffing shortage? Few more notes: I've never seen the executive director outside of his office. In other communities the ED's are seen interacting with residents. It is an essential function of the role. There is a rotating door of staff members coming in, and out. This is for a reason. There are surely some good staff members who manage to stick around, on who's backs the company rests. I've witnessed a lack of professionalism and rudeness on several instances. I'm not sure why more people don't speak up, but they should. I've spoken to many people (residents, family members, and staff) who are dissatisfied with this company. You and your family member deserve better than what you'll find at BSL.

I believe I found the best with Dr. Rachel Vinson at Bainbridge Pediatrics. Like the books instruct, I found a pediatrician a few weeks before my expected due date (which worked out well since my kiddo was early). I couldn't believe that the pediatricians in Kitsap were all full or not accepting new patients, so I was relieved when I called Bainbridge Pediatrics. They offered me an opportunity to meet with the providers, but I had read about Dr. Rachel on their website and was confident in that arrangement. I can't express how wonderful it feels knowing that your child's physician listens and can have an effective conversation about your child. I don't need someone to hold my hand and assure me - I need someone who can level with me - be honest - and always have the best interest of my child in mind. Dr. Rachel is exactly what I had hoped for and so much more! I trust her with my child's healthcare. The front office staff are extremely polite and helpful. If Dr. Rachel left BP, I would follow her to another practice. We have had a great experience at Bainbridge Pediatrics, and I am pleased with their care of my son.

It took us almost a week to get ahold of someone, and when I finally did, I was told I needed to download and print the new patient packet from their website, fill it out at home, and physically drop it off at the office. Only after they receive and review the paperwork will they look at the schedule to make an appointment, which I was told could be as far as three months out.I've only had two pediatricians for my kids, so maybe I'm just accustomed to a different system! Our previous offices either provided the paperwork when we arrived or had everything electronically through a patient portal/iPad. I'm definitely not opposed to paper forms--I was just surprised that we have to print and deliver everything ourselves before even being able to schedule.
