My washing machine broke, so I needed to find a place to do laundry. I live in Suquamish, but I…read moreopted to drive to Silverdale because I was familiar with the location. My first impression of Laundry Day was that it was clean and had new machines. I like it's location because it is close to Grocery Outlet and Geens on Your Way, in case you need a snack. There are lots of parking spaces available and I was able to park right by the front door. I came on a Sunday morning and basically had the place to myself. I've used laundrymats like this before, so I knew how to load the card with money and how to get the machines going. The gentleman who was working was friendly to the other patrons who came in and needed assistance using the washing machines. I overheard him patiently explain the process to a few people. The washers are different sizes and prices. I probably could have consolidated my clothes to save money. My advice is to walk around and look at all the sizes before you start, so you aren't using too many small loads. The dryers work freaky good. I put my clothes in on medium for 15 mins and they were overly dry. I'd start at 5 or 10 mins and check to see if you need more time. This wasn't cheap, but it was effective. The laundrymat was clean and the machines were well maintained. There is a small bar area for you to ready, draw, or do computer work. They do not have complimentary wifi though, so make sure to prepare for that ahead of time.

The laundromat was amazingly clean, well lit, and the machines are like new- very high tech. But best of all, the man who manages this location is outstanding; I cannot remember in recent memory anyone giving such kind, helpful service. I had zero idea how to go about operating the machines and he walked me through it, unfazed by my cluelessness. This location is lucky to have such an employee! Doing laundry here was almost fun.

I worked here so my review is more based on the employment side. Not the childcare aspect of it…read more I absolutely adored this job. I worked at previous day cares in my hometown and this one has been my favorite so far. The director (Ms Anna) and program manager (Ms Cassy) are some really amazing, kind hearted people. They always have the best interest of the kids in mind, you can tell they are really in it for the best reasons! There were tons of areas for me to grow and learn as a worker there. I was able to work with almost every age group (which was THE BEST part). The community of workers here was also my favorite part. Everyone who worked here while I did was exactly what I would want in a childcare for my child. Loving, caring people with the ability to teach and adapt to different children's learning styles. Easily one of the best jobs I have ever had!!

The center is in the basement of a church so as you can imagine it's a bit drab, but it is always clean and they are really trying to keep the area nice and friendly. The teachers are wonderful and my son just adores Miss Crystal, so I say if my 3 year-old likes it then that's good enough for me! One thing that does bother me is that they don't have much of a web presence, so if you are looking for more information about them, here is what they have on their very hard to find website (http://chicocma.com/final1_013.htm) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chico Christian Childcare has been administering the Lord Jesus to children since 1974. Suburban Propane's 1st story was PW 'went out of business' & SP had 'taken over' all PW customers. Their refill quote in February was triple the price of propane at gas stations, due to my 'low consumption'; they said. I told them to pound sand and make an appointment with me for tank removal asap. They did not do this. They have sent several tank rental fee letters with past due charges now. They offered no proof of ownership of the tank, no past, current or new contract, nothing but a bill. I called again to refute the charge & they said tank removal would cost me $150; 50% more than a year of rent, conveniently. This is America and I will choose who provides my services. They did not acknowledge my first conversation, their story NOW was PW owner "retired". Tank rental & past due charges came after I refused any business with them and told them to retrieve the tank! I should send them a past due STORAGE fee! SP does not own the contract I had with PacWest. I shopped around before I got any propane and found SP had very low ratings. I have now purchased a 60 gallon tank and fill at a station. I am a 64 year old & have a handyman assist. SP's practices would likely cost 2 to 3 times or EVEN MORE than necessary. I am not going thru this with another small local company. It is a good thing propane is for hot water and the gas range only. SP downplayed all their negative reviews. THIS IS AMERICA & unfortunately capitalism can mean the big invisible corporation will force the 5 star local businesses out & jack prices up each time they gobble up another. Self Protection is what SP should stand for; BUYER BEWARE. Thank goodness for YELP! I was lucky to have read up on SP. The sound of my head popping out of nowhere land was LOUD. My hope is that PacWest customers do not feel pushed into SP and that they have no options. Do not say yes, do not sign, do accept propane, do not pay for rental or removal to a company you did not contract with. Ask them to remove your info from your records. Record your phone calls with them, at least take very good notes. Happy & Safe 4th to all; FREEDOM!
