My earring holes appeared to have closed up during the pandemic, when I wasn't going out and subsequently wasn't putting on jewelry, and I finally made it down here to get my ears re-pierced. The piercer let me know that he thought he would be able to get them reopened without having to re-pierce, since he had some equipment that was much smaller than the average earring, and he was indeed able to do so and charged me much less to get my holes open again than it would have cost to re-pierce. I am presently sitting in the waiting room while a friend of mine gets some new jewelry put in, and I am once again reminded how incredibly warm and thoughtful and thorough the staff is. The person behind the counter did such a wonderful job. Patiently explaining options to my friend and to a couple of young girls and their mother. Great for kids. Loved that my daughter was "the boss". They explained the process and every step to her clearly & simply. They pierced both her ears at the same time, which was great. I can't say enough how good they are with kids. The jewelry is high quality. Plan on at least an hour & $100+. We were the 1st ppl at the shop. The line behind us grew quickly. After care is important. I get that. I could've used less of the repeating and repeating and repeating: not to touch, not to swim, do not change jewelry, etc. It's been about a month & she's healed w/o any swelling, redness, oozing, etc. She's still super excited to show off her earrings & loving them. Not my favorite that we have to return to the store when it comes time to change out jewelry. However, the shop is head & shoulders above the turn & burn service and cheap jewelry that you would get at Crossroads Mall. I went to get my septum pierced and the owner was acting very rude to his employe the whole time I was there. Talking shit about him while I'm getting my nose pierced may I add. When I first walked in and he was sitting on the couch like it was his house I thought the worker at the counter was the owner because he was acting way more professional. And while I was getting my nose pierced he was talking about how girls hit on him and he kept boasting about that for a good minute then he goes on to say how he's teach this Vietnamese girl over zoom how to pierce, which made me even more uncomfortable than I already was then he goes to say how Asian noses are so tiny and he kept talking on and on about it. They completely messed up the angle of my nostril piercing. I got it pierced planning on getting a ring after the healing process, and even mentioned that to them. 1.5 years later I am not able to get a ring because the piercing is angled too far down. Recently came here for a piercing with a friend. The owner was very demeaning and seemingly annoyed to be there. He went on rants with each person being pierced which resulted in each piercing taking about 30 minutes. He told me that he drove back from Colorado and walked in the door directly after, emphasizing that he hadn't eaten or slept at all. Not very comforting to hear about someone who is about to pierce you. Again, was very demeaning and rude when I was getting pierced about placement and the general process. I've gotten over ten piercings and have never felt as uncomfortable as I did here. The owner kept exaggerating he was "sanitizing" things which he said was what was taking so long. When I got pierced, the paper towel and gauze he used was very wrinkled and did not look new. Also, I have never had the aftercare for a piercing be "rinse with water". I was told to literally just rinse the piercing with water. Please find somewhere else to get pierced. For reference, I got my first professional piercings almost 25 years ago, and I do actually know how this whole thing works. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I was more and more put off by the place the longer I was there and ended up not buying anything. While I didn't look at every single item, what I saw wasn't what you'd really call custom, just good quality catalog-grade merchandise. That's fine, but the staff gave off a pretty annoying self-importance and after just a few interactions I decided to leave. I know how professionals act toward clients, and how counter staff should handle themselves. My message to this group would be to stop acting like you invented piercing. Hands down the best place in Kalamazoo to get your piercings especially for kids. My 6 year old has been begging to get her ears pierced and I have wanted to wait until she could consent to do so. Both of my ear piercings were done years ago with a gun. After getting a navel piercing in college by a professional piercer I knew I would never go to a Claire's type place for a piercings again. So finding a place with professional piercers was important to me. From start to finish the process was amazing and a very positive experience for my daughter. Zack and Trevor made sure to explain the entire process to my daughter and multiple times explained she could say no at any point. Zack took the necessary time to make sure placement was perfect. After waiting outside for the business to open, a condescending man named Trevor sold me a very expensive broken earring for my son who was not present. He proceeded to tell me that only professionally trained piercers should put earrings in and continued to tell me (several times) that he is indeed a professional. When I called to ask about a replacement for the broken price, I was given the lecture about professionalism once again and told that "sometimes life is hard". Came for a birthday piercing for my child. On the website it clearly says able to accommodate drop ins. We were told that, no drop ins for 8 and under (opposite of what it says on the website) and then that we can only make an appointment the week of the appointment but not on the same day. Also that there would be no swimming or baths for 6 months. It was very obvious that they do not want our business. Therefore we will be looking at another professional piercing parlor. read more

This place was clean and most of the staff was super friendly. I got my piercing from Jess and she was super sweet and walked me through the whole process so I wasn't surprised. They were super careful with all their sanitization which I appreciated. The one downside was that the jewelry was super expensive. My belly piercing plus actually getting pierced totaled out to $143 which was way more expensive then what I was told on the phone. My friend asked how much nipple rings cost and the lady told her it was $150 for two which had us kind of shocked. We stopped in today for a re-piercing my daughter needed. She was nervous based on her experience with the original piercing over the last year. (An infection started behind the ear and she had to have it drained and then two outpatient surgeries which resulted in removing the earring). I was very disappointed at how impatient they were being when she got nervous. Even went so far as to time her and mention that it had been six minutes (which it didn't seem like it had been). He had no problem going on and on about his music and what he likes to play and listen to. But when she needed a moment to calm herself he acted annoyed and very rude! They are a reputable business but I won't be taking my other kids in for piercings when they are ready. No patience and as a parent you don't want your kids to be scared and have that memory stick with them. read more

He acted like any questions I asked were obvious and stupid, and did nothing to ease the nerves that come with getting a new piercing. Three of my friends have had similar experiences, along with one of my coworkers. On top of the rudeness and arrogance, both the man behind the counter and the piercer came off as creepy, and appeared to be flirting with some of their customers.
