I texted Yan and she assured me that it was just a heat rash. I immediately contacted my vet and got an appointment the very next day. On Tuesday the 27th, I took the kitten to my local vet for him to tell me that the kitten had an ear infection, infection on the tail, and was extremely under weight. The kitten was 4 months old and weighed, 2.4 pounds. The vet asked how much I paid for the kitten, and when I told him that i had paid $1,650 for a full breed British Shorthair kitten, he replied, "the kitten you purchased was not a full breed British Shorthair and that I paid too much for a sick cat." Moral of this review, do not trust anyone who can't provide pedigree papers on any animal the breeder is selling as "full breed."

After falling in love with the kittens I found out that one of the kittens was female. Apparently Anna thought that both kittens were males but when she took the kittens to get neutered she found out that one of them was female. I was really upset because I did a lot of research and I came to the conclusion that I wanted male kittens. However, after Anna told me that one of the kittens was a female I still wanted to get them both because they were so cute. Today, I'm happy that it worked out this way because I got to experience both sides of personality in my kittens (male and female). I love them both equally and I can't be any happier. Also, I am glad that we got two siblings because they play so much together and they are so happy! I will never look elsewhere when adopting my next Havanese (or a breed that isn't a Havanese, for that matter). I adopted Cookie, formally Cartier, from the "C" litter. From our first phone call in Fall 2024, Marti was attentive to the details of my life and what kind of puppy temperament would be best fit for my lifestyle. She is kind, SO communicative, and the most detail-oriented, loving, and caring person/breeder. Seeing how loved these puppies are far before they are even born was constant reassurance that I made the best choice. I would receive multiple texts/pictures/videos a day when Cookie was born. So anxious and excited to get my puppy, Marti answered all of my questions and was always so reassuring and kind. All of the puppies were there when I visited the next day. Each one of the puppies were absolutely precious and they were happy and lively. The mother was nursing all of them . I wanted a female and there was 1 male & 1 female left. All the other puppies from the litter were spoken for. I quickly fell in love with Roxie and gave my deposit that night. I had to wait another month until the puppies were old enough to go to their new homes. Marty updated me with photos of my puppy and she also provided me important paperwork to look review. The entire process was very easy. The home where the puppies were living was very clean and orderly. Marti truly has the puppies, best interest and was so sweet and caring and accommodating to me. I had asked if she could keep the puppy for one more week because of my busy work schedule, and she was more than happy to do that. I have never purchased a dog before, but this process was very easy. My puppy is absolutely precious and everybody that meets her is obsessed with her. Little did I know that during Covid everyone wanted to adopt a new puppy! Every breeder in California had long waitlists of over a year! I did find breeders out of state but I did not find the idea of shipping a new puppy ideal. I wanted a local breeder with experience whom I can see face to face. Luckily in my exhaustive search I found Tropico Kennels! Lisa was the only breeder I found that had availability and that did not require for me to sign up for a lengthy waitlist and submit a deposit before the puppy was born. I found it ludicrous to pay a large deposit having no idea what the puppy will even look like! I kept checking the website regularly to see when new pups were being born. The website has a lot of useful and valuable information about the process of adopting and welcoming a new Goldendoodle puppy. Once pictures were posted online of the newborn pup I was interested in, I submitted my interest form. Lisa contacted me right away and I paid my deposit. Lisa worked with me in regards of accepted payment forms for deposit and I found her to be very knowledgeable and friendly. The website provided all the details I needed : I knew exactly when my pup would come home, expected weight, parent info, type (F1B, F1BB etc), shedding info, and the pictures of the newborn puppies. I do wish I had more communication from Lisa in terms of pictures and details as the puppy was growing (I was obsessed) but I knew she was busy and in the end I got my perfect dream puppy. When it was time to pick up my baby, I drove to Lisa's beautiful ranch and her husband was friendly and nice when delivering the dog to me. The animal you may have feel in love with and paid for the day you may pick it up and there is nothing more heartbreaking. All the owner will sell is the dogs she wants to get rid of. So please, I beg of you to avoid California Sunshine Beagles. Ignore the website pictures and don't believe the dogs you if you visit will one day come home with you. For Jill, this facility is about not making money, it's about hurting people's hearts. I do not recommend anyone to stop on by and give this place a try!
