I called later about boarding. They really push for you to just fill out a form. They will not give any kind of estimate. I understand that circumstances will vary, but a price range would be good. I had a contractor at my home once looking out my window and commenting "all you rich people up here." He way overcharged me and we aren't all rich. Not saying she would do this, I just like to be quoted a price range. She seems to take care of her employees and has a decent business plan. Costs to meet with them, as it should. Where she lost me was asking how long the dogs could be left alone. Well, several hours I suppose. She kinda beat around the bush then told me that all of her Nannys have full time careers. If I am working outside of the house for a full work day, I take my dogs to day care. An 8-9 hour work day and commute, leaves my dogs alone for at least 9-10 hours. How does the Nanny have time to exercise them? She also said that a Nanny can only work for one week. So, if you are gone for more than one week, you would have 2 nannies. Not a huge deal, but two different people in my home is a question mark. She ended the conversation with "fill out the online form and we will see if we have any nannies available." Didn't sound like she even wanted the business and seemed like she didn't have many nannies. I have 2 easy, older dogs, but they need daily exercise. I don't need someone with my dogs 24/7, but I would not leave them more than 6 hours at a time, so just being fed and having someone overnight, is not what I am looking for. That being said, if this works for others, they may be a great service.

My neighbor found Cozy Cattery in the Verdi area. The staff and owner were willing to work with us on the timing as their lobby hours are from 10am - 2pm Monday-Saturday. The staff started the process over the phone so I could get my cats into kennels and get them into the car along with the needed supplies. In the discussion, Cozy Cattery assured both my neighbor and I that if we needed to extend our cats' stay because of the fires, that it won't be a problem. Both of us did extend the stays for a total of 6 days, until all evacuation levels were completely taken off our area. During our cats stay, we were told to call anytime to check on our cats and when I needed to drop more food off, I was invited back to get a couple of scritches with my cats and I checked on my neighbor's cats. The staff member even got to pet my neighbor's cat that is usually anti-social The staff and owner went above and beyond our expectations during the very stressful time to make sure that not only were our cats were comfortable but so were my neighbor and I in making the decision of boarding our cats. If I need to board my cats in the future, I will go use Cozy Cattery Boarding Resort in a heartbeat.

I had a ranch with 10 horses before I moved to the area and I know how much work it can be. A great relief to know that my horses are being well cared for, and that feeding happen on time, with grain or extras to my specifications, and that the manure is pulled out daily and the water buckets are always clean. Plus fly masks on and off every day! I'm also pleased with all of the improvements, with a new wash rack going in and the get-ready area by the tack room groomed every day.
