(After some communication with Kiva and some reflection, I've decided to completely rewrite my review. This is a very challenging review to get right, and my last effort was rambling, unnecessarily detailed for this forum, and admittedly a little manic. Also, I've been impressed by Kiva's response to that review and feel this should be reflected here. Finally, I've decided to redact individual names, since I believe that reviews should never come across as personal affronts, irrespective of the circumstances.) Very long story short: I had two (of a prepaid three) microneedling sessions here in mid-2022, for a small amount of decades-old residual acne scarring. The second session did not go well and left me with significant damage. I believe the practitioner failed to exercise appropriate patient care before, during, and after the procedure, to the point of being reckless, and the two years since have been something of an ordeal. Attempts to remedy the situation medically have been costly and unsuccessful so far (there is always hope...), and while I've sought legal consultation for personal injury, I've been advised that the damage likely isn't significant enough to warrant the high cost of litigation (I've taken this as a mixed blessing of sorts). There's a lot more I could say about all of this, but I'm just going to leave it at that. A few months ago, after delaying for a few reasons (mostly wanting to see how things might resolve medically and legally), I left the aforementioned review. Again, it was long, detailed, and an expression of two years of frustration. Unexpectedly, [[HIGHLIGHT]]Kiva's office manager (whom I hadn't previously met) responded with an immediate phone call expressing concern, and this resulted in an exchange that I found genuinely supportive.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He was quick to offer a full refund of all payments and was diligent in seeing the refund through when it turned out to be challenging to process due to card issues. While the amount is inconsequential relative to what this whole experience has cost me, and while the gesture obviously doesn't erase what has been a fairly traumatic experience overall, it has meant something, and I take it as an indication that perhaps my one experience with one practitioner isn't really representative of Kiva as an establishment - or possibly that things have changed since my treatment there. read more

Wasted thousands of dollars here. Had to get $1500+ of filler dissolved (by an injector who actually has experience, unlike the ones they hire) because they put 75% of it on the wet border of my lip and I had tons of lumps. They don't care what your results are, they just want to make money. Their injection techniques are horrible and only look good for their Instagram pictures which are immediately post-injection. They don't give refunds and don't care about any of their customers. They messed up my lips and now I have to start completely over. Literally please do not go here for lip filler. read more

My experience for GLP1 medication issued from Kiva has been terrible, unhelpful, unencouraging, and so much more. Let me start off by saying that if you're on the fence about investing in any of their facials, do it!!! I came in for PRP Microneedling with Shannon and omg. I enjoyed the pressure of the facial massage, while performing the facial she took time to educate me on the products and any trouble areas she noticed. I was extremely happy with the service, so much so that I drove two hours to see her again! My next appointment I received was a Lymphatic drainage massage which made a huge difference on the appearance of puffiness under my eyes, checks and chin. I've also seen Crystal for my dysport. She answered all my questions, walked me through the process, and after care. I felt she listened to what I wanted to achieve and provided her professional recommendations. In addition, I have received an IV treatment that made me feel amazing. Jasmine was more than gentle. The spa itself is clean and calming with music. I get facials once a month and have tried a dozen different spas and hands down this spa is one of the best out there! Makes driving hours well worth it because self care is important and finding the right place to provide the best care is just as important. Beware. Go to a Doctor, not an "injector." Horrific and traumatic experience. Got my lips done and the product became lumpy after over a month. I was told that the product, "migrated." Went back and the "injector" recommended dissolving the product, we painfully proceeded. Looked even worse after that and I had to go back and once again more dissolving was the answer. As she's doing it, recommends to come back in two weeks for another treatment. Are you kidding me? Keep in mind you look like a monster after the dissolving process and your lips and face stay bruised for days. Couldn't even work due to the severe bruising. The injector excused the botched job by saying, "all bodies are different.." so what did you study exactly?I don't want another treatment and I certainly do not want the discounted lip flip I was offered as compensation. Oh, and I was charged for the dissolving. Lost all my money and some. Lesson learned, pay top dollar, go to a doctor, this is your face we are talking about. Should have read reviews about how they offer people Starbucks gift cards to leave feedback. Says it all. Cheap stuff always costs more. read more

Absolutely love this place. I have had Botox and filler under my eyes done and being a new mom it took years off my face and made me look refreshed again. I also got a hydrofacial done here and it was the best facial I have ever had. My skin looked clean, bright and so youthful afterwards. The best MedSpa that ever was! This what my second time doing a microneedling with PRP facial at Kiva. The facial was done by Anh and she is simply the best! I love it when you get professional services done and the person doing it is just that - professional. I already knew what to expected since this was my second time getting this facial but Anh still walked me through the whole process. I just felt like I was getting the highest level of service and care from her. The whole process took about 1 hour with the microneedling taking about 30 minutes. The first and second day, my face was obviously red and slightly swollen (which is normal and expected). By day three and four my face was mostly scaling (again, expected). By day five my face with glowing! I'm now two weeks out and my skin is incredibly soft. There are plenty of places to get this service done in Orlando but it's practically impossible to get this level of service at an excellent price! I cannot recommend Kiva MedSpa enough. read more

One of the owners Ashley was at the front desk, & was not wearing a mask. Super unprofessional especially when one is in a medical setting. If the Nurse Practitioner wears one, so should she. Ashley did not stop her conversation with one of the staff members to greet me or check me in. & the conversation was personal, not pertaining to the business whatsoever. Ashley also was who answered the phone when I contacted Kiva initially inquiring about 0.5ml of lip filler, since I have naturally large lips, & only wanted a little bit to refine them. She told me they won't do half & that "it's not going to do anything I'll need a full syringe" without even seeing the size of my lips. She isn't even an NP to get to decide that. She's money hungry & is solely looking to line her pockets rather than ensuring the best is done for the customer. They have advertised on more than one occasion the pricing & availability of doing half a syringe. I have even spoken with their staff & have had them quote me on the cost. So for her to tell me no was telling on the outlook she has on her customers: nothing but a dollar sign. Finally, the NP Jess is nice. But unfortunately she's inexperienced & overfilled the lips. The vermillion border is an area that must not be overfilled, otherwise it will produce the "duck" lip that no one wants. I am a nurse & had to have my lips dissolved from one of the doctors at our facility. They looked absolutely horrible. This is the first facility Jess practiced aesthetic procedures, so she is still learning. I'd recommend saving your money & visiting another facility, since Kiva is actually overpriced compared to more experienced facilities. read more

Very happy to finally have such great med-spa in Downtown! Starting with amazing and convenient location with easy on-site free parking. I came in to get the microneedling PRP treatment, And after a long day at work, the moment I walked in the treatment room, it was as if I entered another dimension and all my worries stayed outside. I had Botox done elsewhere and it always felt like I was at a doctors appointment. Not here. Black walls, bright green plants, a TV with calming and mesmerizing pictures, chill music but not spa-ish, just good vibes -- truly relaxing. Jasmine was my nurse. She was friendly, professional, kind and fun to chat with. She took my blood, brought me some champagne, put on some numbing cream on my face and neck and after a painless hour and a bloody-looking face, I was done. I almost didn't want to leave I was having such great experience. It's been 4 days and after some mild redness (like a light sunburn), swelling and some peeling, I already feel my face tighter, smoother, clearer and overall better. It's actually kind of crazy how great my skin looks after only 4 days. I also bought a bunch of ZO products which they recommend and so far I love them. Jasmine you were the best! While in town for business, I was feeling very run down after a night of drinking. Decided to google IV Lounge in Orlando and found Kiva. They were able to take me as a walk-in immediately. They recommended the Competitor IV and I started to feel better within 1/2 hour. I've been on the fence contemplating the idea of lip fillers for a while and was always undecided on whether or not I should go for it. Mostly, due to the fact that I was worried about the results being too "obvious" or "fake" looking - Which is why going to Kiva was the easy choice! My first experience with this spa was excellent but my second will be my last. I went in to have a prp facial (vampire facial). The nurse on hand was great. I was told to leave the blood on my face for the next 8 hours, or overnight if I could handle it. Would have been very helpful to me when booking to appointment to have this information. I had no idea of this & I had a lot of things to do for the rest of my afternoon (my appt was at 11am). I did sleep with the dried blood on my face as instructed. I was told I would look like I had "a bad sunburn"...False!! After sleeping with it on my face it stained my skin so it was like that for the following 3 days. Had I known any of this info I could have planned around it. I paid with my care credit, was asked to leave a review & she would send me a Starbucks gift card (still waiting on my first one) About 2 weeks later I received a call telling me the owner Kara had not run my card correctly & could I text over my ID & card info. I didn't feel comfortable doing so. I did speak with them & let them know I would stop by when I could to provide them with this info. A few days later I had a vm from one of the owners threatening to send me to collections for nonpayment! After she provided me when a receipt the day I had my service & my online portal showed I paid. I've never heard of such a thing. So rude & unprofessional! I finally emailed over my info & will never spend another penny of my money here. As a new business I wouldn't think threatening people because you made a mistake was a great business practice. read more

Let me start by saying I had high expectations from this spa. I finally decided to get my tear troughs filled. They are worse than before , meaning discoloration and pores are more visible. I called after I had the service completed and was told to wait 2 weeks. I did and made a follow up. The owner Ashley seemed to be concerned and made me the appointment, however, she was not present and the NP Jess was unhelpful. She pulled up by before and present pictures side by side. I could tell minimal to no difference. Jess admitted the discoloration was worse now. She also went on the tell me my pores where there prior and the filler will draw fluid to the area and make it worse. I did not get this done and pay the amount to have the area worse ! The staff is very nice except for the nurse practitioner Jess . My first visit she was pushy for cheeky filler saying I have "flat cheeks". Then when discussing my disappointment in the fillers, she was zoomimg into the screen to see any difference. She stated I had these " bumps " all over my forehead, which I don't . I just think she's rude and defensive when I called her out on how I was not happy with my results. Owners did not follow up after the appointment.
