Gregory Charles was extremely professional, articulate, thorough, friendly, and honest. He expressed concern that my ears were shaped in a way that could change the way the piercing fit. I got them specifically as a hail Mary trying to help my migraines so how they looked was not my primary concern. He was very clear that there is no evidence that daith piercings help migraines. Greg was patient, spent a lot of time going back and forth with me deciding if I should get the piercing, and then choosing the right jewelry. Getting pierced was not nearly as scary or painful as people make it seem. Yes, the daith is uncomfortable to get pierced, and pain is different for everyone, but it was like a 5/10 for me maybe, and I'm not *that* tough. They are SO serious about being clean and sanitary that when I was leaving I dropped my hair clip on the floor. They picked it up for me and *sanitized it before giving it back*. I was done and leaving and it was just a hair clip. But that's how much they care. All these reviews about how clean and sanitary they are are not just hype. This place really lived up the the reviews. The jewelry was WAY MORE expensive than I expected. But, for the quality of experience I paid the higher prices. I felt kind of stuck to spend more money since you have to leave a daith in for a year so you want to like the ring you choose. But, no regrets. :) Parking is easy. Staff is friendly. The waiting room is comfy. The entire experience was great. I'm going back and bringing my boyfriend to get pierced too. Fan for life. :)

So when I went to him, he really explained to me how tattoos should work with the part of the body that you want done. You can't just get anything and put it anywhere. Me not being artistic at all, never would've figured this out, but when he explained it to me and showed me on my body why this worked, why that didn't work - it made total sense. Second thing - I didn't even have a specific idea of what I wanted. I gave him a really general idea of what I wanted...basically a motif. I had no real idea of type of art or style. He basically consulted me through the whole thing with my vague-ass not helping at all. He comes back a week later with like 8 different sketches of what he's come up with and I like all of them. He told me which one was his favorite, and obviously it was the boldest and scariest one to get done of them all. But he explained to me the impact and effect of getting it done and why he chose it. After thinking about it and him calling me a wuss because i was worried about the pain in my freaking armpit (!) I was like, "Let's do it" (like the guy in the FedEx Kinkos commercial that keeps talking a big game). Two weeks later, I was more than happy with how it turned out. Two years later it's still badass everytime I look at it. Really messes people up when they see it too. Oh yeah, it does mean something too. Go to Kevin, go to his website. Look at his art. Talk to him. Seriously, if you want to get something done its worth the drive to sit down and brainstorm with my man. Unless you know someone personally in the city, if you go into anyone of the shops and try and get something custom done with just a general idea, the artists aren't really going to help you. That's been my experience - like I wasn't worth the time or something. Kevin's different. I think he'll take the time. Just don't ask him for an armband or a butterfly. You'll have a long drive home, or you can go shopping at the outlet mall instead to make yourself feel better after he kicks you out for asking him to do a daisy on you ass. I'm just sayin'...if you go you better man up. Or woman up.

Over a year later, my belly piercing healed great and I've had no issues! That was my dream piercing so I'm so happy Klas was able to make it happen : ) I've also gotten my flat and conch done here too , and those have been healing great. Staff is friendly and easy to talk with. Don't know what piercing I'll get next but I know where I'll be getting it! Or maybe a tattoo, my friend has gotten one here and is very happy with it too : D

We didn't get started on the first tattoo until several hours after the scheduled time because the artist and the owner were preoccupied with personal drama. Before the start of the second tattoo, the artist and the owner got in a screaming match and the owner threw the artist out for the day. The word "faggot" was used several times by the artist, and as a group of openly gay patrons, we did not appreciate this lack of consideration. We had to leave the shop due to the fight between the owner and the artist and the rest of my group did not get their tattoos after giving up many hours of their day. We have had no apologies/offers from the owner since. The artist was shifty, moody and very unprofessional in the way he conducted business with our group and even tried starting "drama" between our friends, it was very bizarre. I got a small tattoo and he did a great job and it healed very well. I am happy with the end result so I guess that is all that matters, however, I will not be returning or recommending this place to anybody.
