For starters, this place is really nice, from curbside to the front door. At the South West corner of Illinois Route 59 and Batavia road, just a mile north of I-88, exit RT.59, sits one of the cleanest,nicest, most professionally run tattoo shop i have ever walked into. Convienienly located in a strip mall next to a Subway and a Mexican/Mediteranian dinner, it is also neighboor to KV Hot Shot Sports Bar, Rosatti's Pizza, McDonald,Shell Gas Station, as well as a Walgreens across the street. I have been to many, many tattoo shops in the Chicagoland area as well as Wisconosin and that is why this review is going to be indebth and detailed and tell you why I should be 5 stars and why you should get work done here. I'll start with walking in. There is beautiful tiles stone in the vestibule as well as big, comfy, spacious leather couches and glass tables, matching and going with the shops color scheme, complete with a TV for relaxation. The front desk is a very nice piece, as well as the computer area to look up pictures, ideas, or to download your own pictures to show the artist, or to just surf the net and listen to music. There is a nice set of gears on the wall, going with the shops scheme again, as well as a nice mirror waterfall on the wall. On the other wall there is motion picture frames, each with differnet art work done by the artist at Now And Never. The wall don't have any hangers full of pictures of "tattoo ideas" or simple small tattoos. They like to the customer to design and tell the artist what they want, and the artist comes up with something, dead on the spot. Theres the computer there, a nice Apple with the works. I think this stands out a lot, as you can look for what you want and have a completely original, unique tattoo, not just something on a picture rack that someone else may or probly have as well. The atmosphere and vibe of this place is great just at the first walk in. In previous shops ive been in, tiles and flooring is ripped, cracked and coming up. The appearences of other shops have not been as appealing or kept up as nice as this place. One thing that sticks out the most is the bathrooms and work area. These areas I consider, as well as all artists, are probly the most essential part of a first impression, after the customer is in the door. So I decided to ask to usethe bathroom. The owner, Dan showed me where it was at. At this point I got to see into the booths, the tattoo work area, and was even more impressed. As I got to the restroom I looked around. This is probobly the cleanest public/private bathroom in Warrenville. Brand new toilet, sink, mirror, tiles, and beautilful artwork on the wall. Ever thin was clean, sterile clean, and plenty of soap, toilet paper, towels,etc. When I was finsihed, I walked back and got a nice view of the back room, the artists' rec room, with a sink, table chairs, to eat and a couch, TV, and play station to relax when slow. Very nice set up and clean, I must say. Walking back to the front, there is multiple framed artwork by many graffiti artist, and contemarary artists inbetween the entrances of booths. My girlfriend had got work, and we prosceded to the booth. Dan McDarrah was the artist doing the tattoo, a rattlesnake with the script "don't trend on me". Dan is a very easy going dude. A veteran, he opened up the shop last year, summer time, and has put a lot of work and detail in to the atmosphere and customer feeling. His booth is very comfortable with multipkle seats, framed artwork, and a very nice sound system with bass you can feel that he asks for your requests, or a iPod or CD you might have to throw in and make it an awsome expirience. From the time you enter the booth, gloves are on his hands, everything is sterile, wrapped in plastic, and fresh needles out of the package. The ink is poured out of colors of your desire, and all the seats, and bed/table are completely wrapped and sterile. The tattoo session was great and rocking out with our favorite music was a nice touch. After the tattoo, Dan had cleaned up and showed us the proceedure and how everything is thrown away and surfaces are sterilized. After he was finished, and his gloves were off, his 3rd or 4th pair putting new ones on after each step of the tatoo session, he ran down to Do's And Don't's of after tattoo care. He supplied everything he said on a card, as well as some Vitamin A&D in a small package and direction on how to use it correctly. The tattoo is well large and detailed, so we could only do the first session. She and I are returning soon to get it finished. Upon getting ready to leave and pay, she and I relized she didn't have enough cash on her. They do take debit/credit cards but she wanted to pay in cash and leave him a cash tip. She and I use Chase bank, so I ran to Walgreen's just across the street to the ATM. There is also an ATM in the Shell station, and at KV Hot Shots. THEY ARE THE BEST! I have been to a lot of tattoo places around Chicago and also out of state and this is by far the cleanest place I have walked in to. They make you feel right at home from the second you walk in the door. I have been looking to get a tattoo done for years and I have not been able to find a place until I walked into Now or Never. One of the main things for me is feeling comfortable. This place gave me a good vibe from the start. Everyone there is very friendly and wants to make sure you have the best experience possible. They actually take time and make your tattoo look the best. They also take time to get to know their customers. They do not just rush you out. My tattoo turned out better then I have ever imagined thanks to Len Hardy. I will go back there for my work from now on. I have already been recomending it. I"ve been to a ton of shops. In the tattoo industry there is really no such thing as professionalism. But I can say that this shop is changing that! People are exactly that people. There are human elements that can't be controlled 24/7. It is a Veteran owned shop and I've never felt more at home. I have had the outside of my leg tattooed and the experience was great. Lines are clean, smooth black and grey blending and the concept we are going with is truly what I had in my mind. It's a full custom shop no flash on the walls and a very clean and high end look. I have been tattooed here at Now or Never on multiple occasions and I have to say it is a fantastic shop, super clean and so professional. They answered all my questions i had about my tattoos. Worst experience I've ever had with a tattoo shop. The artists get into screaming match's in front of you! Every other word is swearing and cursing. Alcohol and drug use is in this shop. Artists are friendly only when they know they are getting your money. Talk crap about customers amongst themselves in front of you. Total negative environment. For the love of god, do not go here!
