The Law Offices of Stephanie White - ... when you need a legal voice.

The Law Offices of Stephanie White

Warning to Simi Valley Residents: Experience with Attorney Stephanie White (Bar #250725)…read more I want to share my experience to prevent others from falling victim to poor legal representation. I retained Attorney Stephanie White to handle the completion of a QDRO following my divorce. Despite paying her $3,113.63, she failed to complete the necessary documents in a timely and competent manner. On top of that, I continue to receive bills from her totaling $4,600, despite her failure to provide the services. Her handling of my case forced me to hire additional counsel at a cost of $1,200 to correct her mistakes. Stephanie White appears to take advantage of clients during difficult times. I have filed a formal complaint with the California State Bar. If you are considering hiring her, please proceed with extreme caution.

I cannot recommend my family law attorney highly enough. She represented me in two separate cases,…read moreand both were resolved in my favor. More importantly, the outcomes were fair, balanced, and grounded in the facts, which was exactly what I was hoping for during such stressful times. One of my cases was especially contentious. It involved significant conflict, serious accusations, and repeated attempts to challenge my custody rights. Throughout the process, Stephanie and her co-counsel Jessica Zylak remained steady, strategic, and fully prepared. They've never reacted emotionally or escalated the situation unnecessarily; instead, focused on presenting clear evidence and advocating firmly but professionally for what was right. Their approach brought credibility to my case and kept the proceedings centered on my child's best interests. Her team operates with the same level of care and precision. Every question I had was answered thoughtfully, deadlines were never missed, and I always felt informed and supported. They clearly pay close attention to detail and take the time to build a strong, well-documented case rather than relying on theatrics. If you are looking for a family law attorney who combines sound judgment, composure under pressure, and a deep understanding of the court process, The Law Offices of Stephanie White is an exceptional choice. I'm grateful not just for the results, but for the integrity and professionalism shown every step of the way. Extra thanks to Jessica Zylak, she is a stand-up representative. Because of her diligence and commitment, I was able to center my focus on my son's well-being. I am exceptionally pleased with their services and grateful for their help.

Fast forward to 2013, as the executor for the trust, I phoned Mr. Hart to get a "signed" copy of the trust he had prepared. Mr. Hart was only able to give me an unsigned copy stating that the signed copies were in storage and he would get them and send me one. Two weeks later I received a phone call from his secretary. Mr. Hart can't find the signed documents that I have requested. When I state that I need them for the purpose of contesting a new trust which nullified his original trust, she indicates that he can't speak to me and that I must have my litigation attorney phone him. When my attorney's office phones him, he indicates that he is uncomfortable speaking with the para legal and does not believe he can assist us. Mr. Hart is not a party to the litigation and is not even willing to assist in producing the documents he originally prepared. This is a joke and ridiculous...first Mr. Hart excessively charges a disabled vet an outrageous amount for his services, then he can't produce the documents that he charges excessively for!!! This is not good PR, or good service or even respectable. I would never recommend him to anyone and will be sure to let the person who recommend him to me know how truly disappointed I am with David J. Hart's services and or lack of services and outrageous fees

I could not have been represented any better by any different lawyer. David is a talented, determined attorney with a solid code of ethics with scruples as the foundation. My elderly mother needed a trust. She paid $3,000 for the trust up front. She had a one hour…read moremeeting with them with me present, so I witnessed everything. Trusts are complicated and my mom isn't an attorney so she relied on them to give her solid advice and she told them what she wanted. The meeting was about an hour and it was with the owner of the firm and one of his associate attorneys who was female. By the time it was time for my mom to sign the trust a couple of weeks later, it was not what she expected. I was in the room and expressed my concern at the outcome. There was a big problem with the trust that was not explained to her beforehand. She asked for it to be fixed and this is when the female attorney started blaming us for wasting her time. She didn't use those exact words, but she blamed us for the mistake, which seemed odd because it was something they should have warned us about or explained to us. She was making it all our fault and then saying she didn't have time to fix it. She had another client right after us. The trust would have to be completely redone and this time it wasn't a packaged deal...meaning more than $3,000....lots more. My mom was very upset by this and I was trying to help by pointing out the issues but the attorney kept interrupting her and I and the next thing you know, she's yelling at both of us. At this point, we asked if we could just meet with the Mr. Dallara himself but she said that wasn't a possibility at all and she was offended by what we wanted...because it was clear we did not find her professional at all. That's when it went completely off the rails. More yelling and turning the tables on us. By the end of all this, my mom is very very upset, and she gets up to leave and I go to get her walker and by that time this attorney is telling us she doesn't want us as a client anyways. I literally had to hold up my hand to motion for her to stop yelling at us as we were leaving the room. How completely rude! My mother is elderly and disabled and this was completely unprofessional. If something is not done right, you should fix it. You should not be blaming people who don't even understand the law...that's what the lawyer is for! We were not unreasonable. We were not rude to her. Both of us were shocked by the treatment we received. She's simply not the type of person who likes to be wrong and she was and was embarrassed by it and make it OUR fault instead. [Even though this review is in my hand, my mother has read and approved what I've said. She has a broken hand from falling the other day and cannot type on a computer. I was also a witness to everything that happened. ]
