I've been there many times in the past two years while at camp and have never been disappointed. To start, almost everything is made from scratch. The pizza is one of the best you can get in the area. The subs are huge, and so good. I love the steak subs cause they aren't steak-ums, but good chopped steak. The prices are great considering the quality and quantity that you receive. They also make a bunch of Polish and Italian dishes that look excellent. Breakfast is served on the weekends. Most importantly, the owner and her staff are amazing. They are polite, friendly and they actually listen when u ask for something to be modified to your liking. So good. The staff was very friendly, and the whole place had such a quaint, welcoming atmosphere. It felt like one of those little hometown restaurants you hope to stumble across on a long trip. However, as soon Haley--one of the waitresses--noticed I and my child were feeling a little uncomfortable and like maybe this wasn't the place for us, she proceeded to plop down in the booth right next to my son and said, "Alright, hon! What'cha want?" It took my breath away, because it felt like such a breach of professional etiquette. But then I realized she'd just let all the regulars know they were not to mess with us in a way that didn't raise any eyebrows. (If she'd been overly friendly with me, it might've raised a stir, but, by sitting next to a 12 year old who's my child and helping him feel relaxed, no one could give her or any of us grief. It was almost breathtaking in its simplicity and effectiveness. No one gave us any grief after that.) We ordered a lot of delicious food and my child was on cloud nine. Ordered two orders of the amazing onion rings, got their insane cheeseburger's served between two grilled cheese sandwiches, and amazingly cooked tater tots. At the end, my son told our waitress she deserved a raise and she gave him a commemorative pen! That waitress gave an absolute clinic on how to make outsiders safe and welcome!
