Luckily we had an excellent server who explained the menu to us and how and what to order based on our likes. We started with the small plates each and shared - this way we could sample each and every dish. The food here is amazing - started off with the Pork and Mushroom Dumplings, Popcorn Shrimp and the Spicy Peanut Chicken. Char Sir BBQ Ribs were next with Lettuce Wraps . . . . Lots of food and appetizers. The drinks were over the top good - The gin drinks here are superb . . . . order anything with Gin. Starting with the tacos, I must warn you, they are more like bite size pieces of meat tucked in a cracker. This was the most disappointing of the dishes, although it did not lack in flavour with the beef and truffle tacos, I felt that £6 each (minimum two) was far too expensive for something that tiny. Pricing aside, the rest of the meal was excellent. Rock-n-roll shrimp was a pile of fried prawns in a lovely sauce, very filling. Yellow tail and crab nigiri were both so fresh and delicious. The spicy scallop roll and black cod miso roll, were very tasty. Black cod was rich and filling while the scallop was light and bright. Their cocktail bar has some standout bottles, a great wine and drink list overall. The music selection could be less club music and more elegant for such an upscale place. Service was spotty but redeemed itself at the end.

The chef and server where super nice and there is an upcoming all-you-can-eat sushi event. They have a fixed-price meal option or you can order a la carte. The sushi is fresh but I ordered the mango tango sushi and I have had riper mango which really made a difference. Service charge is automatically added to your bill.

Hidden within Liverpool station, Moshi Moshi is shockingly beautiful upon entering and escaping the hustle of the station. With it's unique seating and layout, it would be the perfect date night location. I brought a large group to Moshi Moshi, and the team was fantastically supportive and flexible to our needs and reservation process. They weren't phased when our numbers continually changed (even night of) and they worked with our limited budget. We were able to get a meal (not just 1 sushi roll) for £14 or less per person. I'm excited to go back without the budget limitation to try some other items.

More good raaaamen…read more I am planning a Japanese language class about ramen for later in the year (we have a ramen expert from Cambridge University who is going to talk about the history of ramen, and then the Japan Foundation's chief language advisor is going to teach ramen-related Japanese/how to order etc.) So, I thought I should become more of an expert of the London's ramen scene and try the ramen shops that I did not try yet! I had heard from a couple of people that this restaurant is authentic, so I invited some mates from Japan, and we got stuck in. The good: - The Chashu ramen had a lovely meaty broth - The meat was perfect (although I may have ordered too much!) it was tender, not too fatty and just lovely - The staff were really sweet and the venue is relaxing - No queues. It seemed busy, just not line-up-for-ages busy - It's cheap. £6.50 for a MASSIVE bowl of ramen - It tastes lovely and authentic - I love that they have all the correct condiments to go with gyoza! (Vinegar / soy / chilli oil) It's just better when you have the right stuff to dip!! The less good: - They don't do Tonkotsu (I've noticed lots of yelpers fetishize tonkotsu...but I'm happy with other soups as well...) - The ramen didn't include an egg. I know it doesn't matter really, I just love eggs in my ramen! - My noodles were a teeny bit too squishy, not bad, just not perfecto. - The tempura and gyoza were both a bit oily (we still ate it all though!) - The service was a bit slow, even though we arrived when they first opened at 6pm. However the manager offered us free ice-cream to say sorry for the slow-ness...but we were too full to accept it!
