Move time was noon on Saturday. I received a text from them around 11:40am saying running a few behind but would be there by 12:15pm or so. Once they showed it was a breeze! Huge truck and 5 guys, they had my 2 bed/2 bath apartment loaded into that truck in less than 30 minutes. I think the drive to the new place was longer than the load time. Again, super quick unload and they were all so kind, and very careful with your items. 3 hour minimum so I ended up paying for longer than what they worked, but that is moving company standards, and I've done that with just about every move I've ever done. Unfortunately, this move was the complete opposite. The movers showed up smelly and unprofessional, and they argued with each other the entire time they were in my home. It was uncomfortable to watch, and on top of that, they were clearly milking the clock rather than working efficiently. When my furniture arrived, several pieces were damaged--including an $800 dresser with two legs broken off, leaving it unable to stand. Three lamp shades never made it into my home during unloading, and the company initially denied they were ever part of the move. For a whole week, they ignored my calls and messages about reimbursement, after saying they would get back to me in 24 hours. They only responded once my father got involved, and even then, their offer was insulting: $70 for the three missing lamp shades and $0 for the ruined dresser. I'm extremely disappointed in how drastically their service quality declined. This company is now unprofessional, careless, and unwilling to take responsibility. I regret booking with them again, and I strongly suggest choosing a different moving company if you want your belongings--and peace of mind--protected.

Customer service on the phone is good, the movers did a great job. We hired them to only move our heaviest items and we were impressed with the care and hard work they had in moving our items. There were no excessive breaks while on the clock either. Our pickup date was one day and the delivery day was the next day and both days they were late. 30 minutes the first day and 2 hours the next. I wasn't impressed with the ipad signature, I couldn't see what I was signing. Because they had to hold our stuff overnight, the software had trouble with our billing and we ended up getting double billed for the delivery but they took care of that right away and issued credit no problems. One of our tv's did get damaged and the filing a claim process is just stupid. You have to provide pictures, sign a claim form and have it notarized, and write a statement. Instead of just sending someone out to take pics and document the damage, they make it difficult for the customer so they hope you just throw your hands up and don't go through with the claim. We haven't submitted ours yet, so don't know the outcome. Overall, I've heard some horrible stories about moving companies, and we were concerned, but I think we would hire them again. The guys really worked hard and were friendly. We had 2 different crews on pickup and delivery and both crews consisted of professional and friendly employees. Update on the claim: they approved to reimburse $200 for our tv, have to get yet another sheet notarized, then they will issue a check.

The teams were very patient with my 88-year-old mother as she decided where to put those heavy dressers. They even took the time to relocate some of her furniture. When the move was complete, they tallied up the time and charged us $270.00 less than the original quote. They are setting a new standard in the moving industry. I will say that the last thing I wanted to do was get more estimates from movers. It was just March 2019 when I packed up our house in Alabama, where I'd lived for 15 years with my late husband, and brought our belongings back to my hometown of Columbia, TN. Because our 15-year marriage had been tossed into a 10'x30' storage unit with no way of finding what I needed, I knew sifting through it all to piece together a life after love was going to take a special moving company. Enter Shane at Marigold Movers. I'd already had one glowing recommendation for this company, and after meeting Shane, I understood why. First of all, Shane was perfectly on time, every time. Second, he was so friendly and helpful when doing the "walk-through" to work up my estimate! He probably told me more good things in casual conversation about his company and how they do business than even he realized. This is a man who appreciates his job and his boss! Third, Shane is honest. He's one of those people whose face tells you the truth before he ever utters a word. You just don't have to worry about what he says. On moving day, I made a last-minute change to the location of the first of two pickups, and Shane hadn't gotten the message in time because he's always early--but he rolled with it, saying they wouldn't charge a dime until they started working. This crew was so friendly and fun to work with, and after a couple of hours, they'd gotten to know my needs well enough to predict which boxes needed to come out of the storage unit (always checking with me first). They finished the work ahead of schedule and the cost came in under the estimated amount. At the end of the day, I ended up with some items having been moved that shouldn't have, and a table top whose legs didn't make it to my new home. Still, I would highly recommend Magnolia Movers. I'll use them again for my next move!
