When we picked her up, that was not the case. she was lethargic when we picked her up but we thought maybe she was just tired and was decompressing from the stay, but she did have a little bit of weez to her breathing. The following day she had a full on cough (still does) and a confirmed case of kennel cough. I called the kennel and spoke to someone named Kelsey and told her what was going on and she said that the owners were out of town but they would call me the following day. I had to call back three times to finally get a callback from the owners. The only concern from the owner was that I did not leave a bad review for them because I would be putting his business and his employee's jobs in jeopardy. He did not offer to compensate her stay, he did not offer to help with the vet bill, and was not even apologetic about our dog being so sick. They had to have known she was sick and when I spoke to Kelsey, she said that she could not confirm or deny if any other dog had came down with kennel cough during the same time that she was staying there so they aren't even telling other pet parents that kennel cough is going around at their kennel!!!!. To top it off, not only did they not tell us she was showing signs of kennel cough, we brought her home where she was reunited with her 13-year-old "sister" If we would've known she was sick we could have kept them separate and prevented the spread of kennel cough in our own home. After this experience, I did some digging and not too long ago they lost a dog, and it has never been found! Please think twice before you use this facility! NEVER AGAIN!

My only "requirements" were to feed them wet food daily (and dispose of any uneaten wet food before adding new wet food) and make sure they had plenty of clean water, and refill dry food and water as needed. Everything would be set out - food, trash can (to dispose of the empty cans from wet food and any uneaten wet food) paper towels & carpet cleaner (for any messes), etc. My mom generally scooped litter boxes since they were in various places in the house. As I said, prior to our last vacation, all was OK for a service that I knew was more oriented to dogs. This last trip however I was very disappointed. Upon coming home, we discovered that wet food was not disposed of timely and had actually become moldy. This single occurrence has caused this review and as such, I will be finding a new service or person that is oriented to only caring for cats and their needs while we are away.

My dogs have had - issues - of the intestinal variety and not even that scared her off! Heather administers midday medications as needed and I love getting the reports about how the dogs had a good time during the day. I mean, if I'm at work at least someone's having fun! The dogs are so much calmer when she has come by. This is a really fantastic service.

We honestly weren't sure if we were equipped to keep him since we didn't have any experience training a dog with fearful/aggressive behaviors, but we decided to meet with a trainer. Vanessa was really clear and straightforward with us from the start about what we could expect from training. She's been an amazing teacher-- we've learned a ton about what causes his reactivity, how to read his body language, how to keep him and others safe, and of course how to train better behaviors into him. Our dog has made a TON of progress, and we were recently able to step down from weekly to monthly sessions. We can take him on hikes and walks comfortably, and he's getting more and more comfortable seeing other dogs around. I first called on her to help me train a ~1 year old…read moreSaint Bernard foster who was almost surrendered because the owners didn't want to take the time to train this beautifully sweet Saint. She was very stubborn and I disagreed with my mom's preferred method of training using "corrections". And the training I learned/used for my dog wasnt working for Mia since she was so stubborn and my dog was/is so eager to please so quickly picked up training. So Patty came over and gave me a hand and after an hour and half session, Mia was learning how to sit on command. Patty showed me some tips and such on how to get Mia to pay attention and make the sessions "fun" for Mia's breed and to get her attention and motivation up. Mia was then quickly trainable and in the 30 days we were given to get the dog trained, Mia was sitting on her own, doing down stays, and her recall was improving greatly! I have also called Patty for some behavior tests/issues my 2 year old border collie/malinois mix was doing for me. Honey likes to bark randomly and when people come by or simply walk by the house, so called Patty to help me with trying to get Honey to settle down a bit in that regard. I'll probably call her back to help some more once I get into another place without as many dogs and different rules regarding barking. She helped me see that I needed to give honey another distraction when I expected guests so as to help with Honey's anxiety levels which also contribute to her cause in barking. She even let Honey keep the puzzle ball she used to help reward/distract honey while we worked with her. I have also called Patty to help me with Honey's recall. She is one of those dogs where you give her that one little inch, and she will take a foot. :) so have to stay on top of her. Honey is also an agility dog, so I needed to strengthen her recall as we had an attention/recall issue in our first trial. So Patty met me at a nearby park and helped me get honey's attention and recall improved and honey has greatly improved in basic coming when called (she was good before, but like i said, slack off a bit and shell take advantage), and has helped greatly in the agility "ring". Hopefully will pay off when we do our next trial next month (October), where the objective is to at least finish 1 of our 3 events (we didnt get to finish our 2 last time because we ran out of time and/or she got too many "off courses" cause she would get distracted and walk away from me! Overall, I highly recommend Patty. She is very personable, rates are good, uses positive reinforcement (ie treats/rewards) and comes in handy for those "touch ups" that dog's sometimes need. I obviously cant say much in regards to puppies/no training at all and need multiple sessions to learn the basics, but for dogs with some training that need touch ups or behavior consults, Patty is definitely handy. I also like the fact that its one-on-one. So no need to pay for a "session" to acquire the same lessons in a group setting with minimial attention given to you and your dog. She makes sure you know what you are doing and feel comfortable before the end of your session(s). And I have called around to a few places/people and Patty's rates were by far the best for private one-on-one training.

I filled out all the paperwork and medication instructions several days before the start of my pet's boarding date, only for them to say that they can't give the supplement when I was already at their door. It needed an official label. My pet needs this supplement so I asked for a written approval of this supplement from my vet specialist from a DIFFERENT state, but this place didn't want to accept a digital copy... I didn't want to risk further disease development so I told them that I can't board my dog here then and would just have to find someone else last minute. Only then did they say they would give her the supplements and take her to board. The next day, I get a call from them saying that they can't give the supplement. I was already out of town so I wasn't able to go back to get my dog. I wouldn't have left her there if she wasn't getting the proper care she needs. AVOID THIS PLACE. My friend even found one of their boarded dogs in the middle of the street of College Ave after escaping from the facility. Don't let these people be responsible for your pets.

They have pulled this before. Last time I didn't pick him up, I left him for the full time I had scheduled and would be charged for. However, this caused me to have to take him to give him a bath after I had just paid for a bath and full groom. Not impressed with their scheduling. Completely messed up my schedule with work and medical stuff I was supposed to have that day and paid for a service that I didn't get the full benefit of. I will not be returning to this place.

They listened to our worries and were extremely communicative. The daycare is lax on pickup and drop off which is nice. When boarding you get a full report card. K-9 Corral does not charge extra for giving dogs their medication while boarding and the play cost is factored in to the cost of boarding (other places in town charge extra for playtime when boarding and charge for giving medication as well). Overall we love them and are very happy with our experiences there.
