They did not complete the grooming services I pre paid for. I even purchased extra add ons & didnt get the bandana or bow. My dog was not dried, still very wet at pick up and on top of that they charged my credit card twice. There is always a complication every time I go in. I schedule with Caden today and when I get here I am advised I have to wait til the groomer arrives as Caden is standing right there. The check in staff is just not customer service oriented. Always something. Last time I had to walk over to Banfield and get records for vaccines. The Loveland location leaves a lot to be desired. This will be our last groom here ever. If I could rate zero stars, I would. More challenges than it is worth and will drive farther for people who are actually good at their job and truly care. read more

Tried to buy some fish tonight and they refused to sell them to me. I understand their reasoning, but the employee Brittany, was very rude and condescending, and talked down to us. We've been to the grooming salon a few times with our Husky. She can be difficult when it comes to her nails so we understand when they aren't always cut super well. First, this is solely about their grooming unit not any other part of the store. We brought in our two dogs to get their nails cut. To begin with, the groomer was extremely rude to me when we arrived. The groomer showed absolutely no confidence. She was rough and rude with our dogs and seemed very frustrated. She did not care about the well-being of our dogs. Some of the nails were cut so far down they were bleeding and others didn't look cut at all. We are going to finish both dogs' nails at a better groomer later now since they are completely incompetent at PetSmart. Also - the groomer clearly knows nothing about dogs because she said both our dogs were Aussies..... but they are short-haired hound dogs.... sooo read more

This review is specifically for the grooming salon. I took my 6lb Yorkie in for a scheduled grooming appointment. They said the groomer wasn't there yet but would need to call me to talk about the service before hand. The front desk manager? Called an hour and a half later to tell me my dog had significant mats and that they would be charging an additional $10 for every 15 minutes of "dematting." I have NEVER been charged an additional fee for something that is part of the grooming service at this salon or any other. When I asked her to limit the added charges to $10 (on my 6lb dog) she said they would "not be able to complete the cut." Then she noted there is an additional charge for services provided on Friday, Saturday or Sunday! I ended up paying $89 for the service as compared to $63 total charges the previous time I brought my dog in. I guess they are just making up new charges along the way! Very disappointed and feel like I was ripped off! read more

Made an appointment. Dropped off my pup and was told it would be 3-4 hours until I could pick her up due to other dogs before her. I was hesitant since there were many dogs in the back that were barking anxiously. I received a call an hour and a half later explaining they put Oly back in the kennel to give her a break and now she won't let anyone touch her or get her out. I immediately picked her up. She had been bathed and partially shaved. They said that is was no cost and to next time book express grooming? Um, not an option when booking the appointment online. Oly has been groomed many times before by private groomers and never had this issue. Here's where it get concerning. When they expressed Oly's anal gland they applied too much pressure. Mind you Oly is a 11lb small mix breed. Vet suggested to keep an eye on it and if she proceeds to be painful and licking nonstop I need to bring her in. Poor pup is still uncomfortable. Area is inflamed and painful. No wonder she wouldn't allow them to touch her. I should have waited until end of September to get her into a trusted groomer. read more

Apparently one of my dogs was half wet and Destiny says she's to small to handle my dogs. 1st time we booked they called saying all the groomers had Covid. read more

At the minimum, I'm wheeling your big blue cart around with a 40 pound bag of dog food, a 15 lb bag of cat food and your aisles are so freaking narrow and cram packed with cardboard floor displays, I'm running over chihuahuas and old ladies while pulling merchandise off the shelves with the corners of my cart as I'm trying to navigate back to the front of the store. 2 feet wider is all I'm asking folks! read more

I understand during the pandemic we are all working to wear our masks but it is not her job to ensure that masks are worn properly. I am deeply saddened and appalled at the treatment my animal received today. I took my young Boxer in to get her nails trimmed. The individual I came in contact with was extremely rude and cold. Her method of letting us know our puppy was done was banging on the window. She very aggressively brought it to my attention that my dog bit her during the process. I found this very disturbing as my dog has had her nails trimmed several times and has never, ever had a problem with biting. Although her accusatory tone suggested otherwise, we play with her feet at least once a day and have since she was a small puppy to prepare her for nail trimmings. PetSmart - DO NOT EMPLOY INDIVIDUALS that are not animal lovers. Most groomers understand this is a risk as your doing something dogs do not enjoy. My suggestion, go elsewhere for simple procedures, go somewhere that loves your dog as much as you do. Pet Supplies Plus does nail trimmings every Thursday and they are wonderful! read more

I was not happy when i brought my dog in to get groomed. Everyone always seems like they are in a big hurry. When they called me and said he was done the lady told me they had gotten his back feet clipped, but couldent get his front nails clipped because he was biting them... my dog has never bit anyone, so i was confused and said i would be down right away to get him. When i got there everything seemed fine. When i got him home that afternoon he was limping on his back paw really bad and he would not put any pressure on it. He kept screaming at us when we touched one of his back paw nails. I am really dissappinted with how they treated my dog. read more

I needed to come in monthly for a shot for my dog who has a chronic condition & while seeing the Vet I had was good, if she wasn't there that day, I had to see a new Vet & they would charge me for a new exam. Give me a freaking break!!! I even asked them "how many exams my dogs needed in one year?". *** Rip off!!! *** (it's all about the money & not your pet) So if you need to see a different provider due to THEIR Vet rotation then you get to pay for a new exam. I walked into the store on Wednesday, Jan 8th 2020 at 4:30pm with the intention of purchasing some fish. There were three associates standing at the cash register and talking. There were no customers. We exchanged greetings and I went over to the aquarium that had the fish I wanted to buy. The associates and I could see each other. After several minutes of not being helped, I turned and faced the associates. They continued their conversation, occasionally glancing in my direction. After several minutes of this, I left. Took my sons dog to have him groomed- I've always had top notch service at this location. Not the case today- Destini was the groomer ( or at least that's the name on the confirmation). It took a few minutes to get my dog calmed down, I was assured he would be "pampered " and taken care of. As I left, I noticed most of the people working there weren't friendly, just standing around. 3 hours later, I walked in to check on my dog, primarily because I had another dog at the vet. Same gal, standing in the same place.... She told me she needed another 45 minutes, I said why what's going on? She said "I have other dogs" very rudely. I walked out, turned around, went back in & she had already called a manager???! Not sure why, I told her she was rude , she laughed, went & got my dog- told the manager she wasn't charging me, walked away laughing at me. My dog was scared to death, still wet, no brush out or hair cut... Never take your animals there read more

Great location, friendly people. Aisles could be a little more spacious, I suppose, but they didn't feel overly claustrophobic and it was easy to find everything that we needed (including the filters for our stainless steel fountain that we would have had to special-order online when we lived in Las Vegas, but they had them in-stock and on the shelf). The checker was extremely friendly and personable, and helped us get our rewards card information input so that we could receive a discount on the cat litter we purchased, even though we didn't have the card itself and weren't sure of the phone number associated with the account anymore. The service really is top-notch, as has been noted in previous reviews. The store is neat and clean, and full of fun things for all pets to enjoy (except those pets that don't like being put in costumes, I suppose; since we were there during the holidays, there were quite a few awkward-looking elf and reindeer costumes for dogs), and we'll definitely be back next time we need to restock on anything. read more

The Loveland, Colorado Petsmart is definitely NOT top notch -- or at least not the Aquarium Center. Our second beta fish in one week just died, both from this store. After accidentally dropping the tiger barb we were purchasing at the same time -- ON THE FLOOR (whoops!) -- the teen-aged staff member did admit that over 80% of the betas currently in their store had died or were dying. And, while they were kind enough to comp us for our second beta (if they're all dying, why NOT give one away for free, to a customer!?), it died within two days. If you're not concerned with the care of these fish (and you should be) you may consider that I was bringing these fish home for my autistic son's birthday, who lit up and showed great signs of improvement with his new tank in place. You can imagine how equally unhappy he was, to watch them both die. Thank you, Petsmart. I've read in the past that Petsmart had an unsavory reputation with its care of live animals and I just blew it off. I should have listened more intently, not shopped out of convenience, and found a more reputable vendor. read more

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff at PetSmart in Loveland, Colorado. This morning I took my dog to their grooming shop, and as we were walking in the door, my dog squirmed her way out of her collar and started running. Long story short, the PetSmart staff spent a full hour of their time helping me chase my dog and keep her from running onto the nearby highway. It was one of the most stressful hours of my life, but the PetSmart staff were so helpful and gracious about all of it. Afterward they still groomed her and made her beautiful again. Suffice it to say, I will be taking my dog to the PetSmart obedience class in the very near future. THANK YOU a million times over, PetSmart team. read more

Elizabeth (Liz) did an excellent job grooming our Newfoundland dog, Molly. Liz spent the time and was so caring, Molly was happy and spunky after her grooming. No over trim or shabby trim. Experienced horrible customer service for the second time in a year last night. Tried to purchase a bearded dragon, but both women who worked there did everything they could to not help me. The first employee couldn't shut the enclosure fast enough, giving me NO time to look at the animals. I'm a picky person and don't just take the first animal I see. I've been doing reptiles for 20 years and knew more than the uneducated employee, and I guess she didn't like that. The second employee said she was going to get the paperwork to start the process, and never came back. I just paid for what I bought and left. I WON'T be going back. HIRE some patient and nice people! I drove from Fort Collins, but should have just visited the Petsmart there. It's WAY better and the employees actually care. read more

Paid $150.00 for a kitten 8 weeks old. The next day I noticed her eye completely closed. I went to the store and spoke with Katelyn (person who helped with adoption) informing her of the eye and stated I thought the kitten was ill. She said the store could do nothing about it. She said called Kristen cause the kitten came from her (I assume the shelter). I called Kristen telling her the kitten was ill, described the eye condition. She accepted no responsibility. Kristen told me to take the kitten to the vet. After a couple weeks of eye care through the vet and over $200.00 later, the kitten is no better. She has stopped playing, sleeps most of the time. Another visit to the vet tomorrow. I live in Loveland Co. now and purchased the kitten at the Loveland Pet Smart store. I would not recommend adopting here or from the shelter. Kristen claims all their pets are healthy but I can tell you mine was not. According to Kaitlyn these animals are found in gutters, alleys and gosh awful places. My kitten was picked up, admitted to Pet Smart at 7 weeks, spayed and sold a week later. Hardly enough time to determine condition. My vet says a kitten should never be spayed at 7 weeks as there is high risk of death. read more

We used to go to Pet Smart all the time to get our dogs groomed. Our last experience in August 2015 was horrible. I was quoted 80 dollars for a bath and a shave of one of our dogs. Her hair was long and she needed a bath. 3 and 1/2 hours later they called and told me she was not finished and to come back in 2 weeks to finish her. They had not done her head or legs. The rest of the shave was really sloppy, there was hair hanging out all over the place. I mentioned this to the manager and he was rude to me and said,come back in 2 weeks! I told him we weren't coming back in 2 weeks, but would find another salon for dogs. It cost us 122.00 dollars. I would suggest you not patronize this salon. read more
