Nice open campground near the Redwoods, you can rent a camper as well as campsites. Renting a camper is a good option if you are passing through and aren't set up for camping, they aren't new but clean and comfortable with a bathroom, shower and kitchen. There are very limited options for any kind of lodging in the area, there's a small Casino with a hotel 10 minutes away and it's pricey. Closest grocery store is Crescent City to the north, so get supplies there. The campground has a store with some campground essentials but it's not a grocery store. Campground has coin laundry too, and the campground store has tide pods for .75 cents. Would recommend if in the area for hiking the Redwoods or fishing! read more

Great campus spot near the Mystery of Trees. Large green land and the sites are big with grass. Very country but owned and operated by family and they keep everything running. Again, it's country living and access to river. Showers, laundry, and restrooms are fine. We would definitely go back. (Only complaint was a few people living year around but they did not seem homeless maybe just down on luck but families). No drug use or unsafe. Kids can ride bikes and play for hours here. read more

Lush, green and relaxing. Friendly staff. Grassy sites. They welcome RV's, trailers, and tents. There are trailers available for rent already hooked up. Some shady trees. Quiet respectful neighbors. Lots of blackberry vines to pick from. Nice trail to the river. Barn for recreation with things to do and Americana decor. A small store and ice machine. Three showers and separate single restroom with a sink for each. Great location for accessing activities like the Jet Boat Tours, the beach to see 3 types of Sea lions, several birds, even Bald Eagles and a drive-thru tree nearby. On the Jet Boat Tour we saw three baby bear, each at a different place, and a perfect adult bear at the riverside, seven Bald-eagles. Side roads for bike riding we're quiet with very few autos. This year there is a lot of driftwood at Klamath beach. We wish we could've stayed longer than four days. Great place for nature lovers and anyone needing to unwind/get away from the crazy busy life. On the way home (southbound) we stopped at Newton B Drury parkway for one of thee most beautiful hikes. Ferns and another broad-leaf plant were huge! Weather was perfect especially with a cool foggy breeze blowing thru the trees. We didn't quite make it to the beach due to our time crunch. Not much foot traffic on the trail Thursday. Saw a herd of bull Elk in the grassy meadow about 2-3 miles south of the trail. read more

Very nice campground. Pretty close to Trees of Mystery if you haven't been or want to explore again. About a 30 minute drive to Crescent City and about 45 minutes or so to Brookings, OR. Campground could use some maintenance, as in some trees looked like they needed a good trimming and they had bugs dropping from them. One plus is that there were trails to the Klamath River which was beautiful. We picked blackberries that were humongous and there is a cafe of sorts called The Smokin' Grill. We didn't eat there but a lot of folks were taking out food. Playground for the kids. Very nice camp hosts. If you like to fish there's a fish cleaning area as well Very enjoyable place to get away. read more

This was a 1 night stop during our road trip along the coast. It is privately owned and well kept. The staff was welcoming and helpful. All their sites are grass, so keep that in mind when getting a post and all sites seem to be level. We did stop here early on in the pandemic, so their store was low on inventory. It is for sure in a beautiful location and we wish we would have had more time to fully experience the campground. Because we got there in the evening, we opted out of checking out the trail to the water. But still enjoyed the bonfire and being outdoors. read more

This a basic RV park that's been around for a long time. There is nothing new, special, or fancy about the park and seems rundown. We come here because it's a family tradition and enjoy exploring the surrounding area. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The sites are mostly all grass with fully hookups. Didn't find the staff friendly. Said there was wifi, but didn't supply a password. Loud music, dog barking very early in the morning. Lack of info on store hours. Open doors left wide open for the showers. Walked to check out the showers and the men's were wide open while someone was taking a shower. The women's were toilet. Lots of beaches, the confluence of klamath River to the pacific ocean was breathtaking on both sides! About 15 miles south is the gorgeous Fern Canyon, a fantastic 1 mile walk through the fern-covered canyon walks along the cool stream. read more

*** wouldn't even give this place one star. DON'T STAY HERE!!!! NOT SAFE!!!! I would advise, strongly, against staying at this RV park. We only stayed one night and one of our bikes was stolen! We did not get to choose our site. Instead we were placed near the entrance in an open space- one of the closest and most visible sites from the very open and unprotected entrance. This RV park is right off 101. Someone obviously was in the RV camp, saw our bike (locked on a bike rack on our rv)and came back for it later. Easy access (zero deterrents- no fencing or adequate lighting, no security gates, or any security cameras whatsoever ). This is the first place we've stayed where there was no fence, gate ect... to prevent just anyone from coming and going. People came in and out all day that we're definitely not staying at the RV park. I felt uneasy from the moment we got here. I wish I had followed my instinct. The way it was dealt with just confirmed my uneasy feeling about the place. The son of the owner made no effort to make things right. He made us feel like he was doing us a favor by reimbursing us the money for the remaining 3 nights we paid for even though we were leaving (obviously)- and only did so after we asked for our money back. He did not offer to help in any way. He didn't even ask us what would help us feel safe going forward or how the park could make sure this would not happen again. He refused to reimburse us for the night we did stay and had the bike stolen on their property (while locked up) in a site he made us take with zero protection, just feet away from a wide open entrance with no security. Zero help as we spent the whole day filing a police report, insurance and packing up. Over all he was suspiciously aloof about it all. He did not show the concern one might expect from someone running a business that depends on keeping people safe as they travel. It is unconscionable that he takes money from people for a service that he didn't deliver and then takes no responsibility for it. The bike that was stolen was the first new bike I had in over 20 years (bought only a month ago). This was the first vacation we've taken in over a decade. Our trip was ruined as we scrambled to find somewhere else to stay and deal with the stolen bike (which was a huge part of our vacation plans) This place is shady, don't stay here!!!! read more

Just got home from trip to Klamath, Ca...stayed 3 nights at Klamath Camper Corral....July 20, 2021,,,,July 23, 2021.....we had 6 people and one dog....a 5th wheel 24 ft....and tent....the site was perfect overall....but the problem we had which was upsetting to our family was the bathrooms were not maintained and pretty bad....our family would not use them.....with a small trailer we managed but we had hoped for clean restrooms...also the swimming pool was green...do not know why???? I am hoping this owner will realize bathrooms are important and being clean and sanitary is very important!!! read more

We just stayed at this place all of last week and were not pleased. Main bathrooms were out of order for 2 days leaving the entire corral with 2 stalls that only could flush every 5 minutes. One toilet erupted on my son. Though the bathrooms are supposed to be cleaned daily from 11-12pm it was only done once after a urinal flooded and they shut all of them down entirely. Expect to be grossed out with these facilities. The promised swimming pool was not desirable and filled with slime and frogs. And BEWARE of BEARS!!! Every night people reported of bears invading their camp. One approximately 300 pound bear sat by my tent and growled until another camper chased it away. Two bears fought each other in the RV section and people had random property destroyed by the bear (one bear made a hole in a canopy, another ate a first aid kit..). There are NO bear lockers to store your stuff. Definitely will not be returning. read more

We've stayed here twice. Very nice setting. Great playground and barn play area for the kids. I believe they had a cafeteria in there too. Easy access to 101 and to Redwoods. Trail has been cut out to get to Klamath River but we've never walked the entire trail due to mud. Saw the bear a few years ago when fish was left out at the cleaning counter. He came out when it was dark and very quiet, took the fish bones out of a bucket, ate it, and went right back into the berry bushes. We saw him as our RV window was facing the fish area - but all our lights and neighbors lights were out. It was awe inspiring. New owners keep the area very clean but the bear had been there a week before. I would just prefer that all RV sites near the bear's area be kept free of tents and RVs. Old owner did that. The bear and at one time a bear family, have been there a LONG time. I'd prefer we make sure the bear has plenty of space. The bears stay in their area, but we should respect that it's been their home for a long time. I think it's wonderful, but am also cautious and appreciated the old owner keeping all sites away from the known bear walkways. read more

Stayed at Camper's Corral had good time except for when I went to office to ask for directions to local restaurants, I was met by stringy headed tweaker looking woman who said her name was Renee and that she was the owner's girlfriend. She was very rude to us. When I asked for more help, she replied, "I don't have time for this. I got to go." And said she needed to make a bank run. Who closes the office during the day? The area is beautiful except for a lot of tweakers....watch your stuff. read more

So beautiful here!! Very nice host who answered the phone on a Sunday and then met us when we arrived to show us to our site and help us park. There was almost no one else camping so we pretty much had run of the entire park! My kids loved the playground, tether ball, and soft grass and gravel to ride bikes. read more

So, the husband and I come here every summer for two weeks. We stumbled upon it, after realizing you must make reservations for state parks a year in advance. Who knew?! Anyhoo, the owner, George, and his son, George Jr, a.k.a. Shorty, put some serious love and effort into their campground. Hot showers, laundry facility, on site store, with essential camping necessities. 18 miles from Crescent City. 32 miles from the Oregon border. They are definitely pet friendly. Did I mention their barn? You can play ping pong, foosball, a couple video games, tv, AND, they have a pool table. Lots of tourist things to do. Not to mention, LOTS of areas to fish. The one thing I would advise, bring your sweatshirts/jackets! It's pretty chilly once the sun goes down. George starts a fire every evening in the center(heart) of the campgrounds. LOTS of gorgeous trees, with the river behind the campgrounds. I could go on and on. All in all, George and his establishment earn a 5 star rating with our family. Good times! read more

We stay here nearly every year (2-6 days) during Salmon fishing season. Easy parking, nearly all are drive thru on grass. Fish cleaning station and sometimes it becomes a bear feeding station. Owners helpful. Price is reasonable. Never seems to be crowded after Labor day. Would give 5 Stars if the pads were paved or concrete, much easier to get level. read more

Were here for two evenings this past week and overall had a positive experience. Positives were that it was available for a tent even though we did not have a registration, which is no small feat this time of the year. With the location being right off 101, very easy to get on and off wherever you are going, service was friendly, and they have a lot of fun activities, such as heated pool, basketball court, ping pong, and playground for kids. A black bear comes out nightly looking for food, that was fun to see also. Negatives, with being close to 101, you get a lot of evening noise. It also gets very windy here, especially in the afternoon, which made/keeping up a tent a bit challenging. read more

We've been coming here the past couple years at the end of summer, and every year we are treated like family. The campground is family ran and they are great, very accommodating and nice. They love children and always make sure we have what we need while staying there. they keep the campground clean and well kept. We rented one of their travel trailers which was very reasonably priced and very nice. George made sure he opened up the barn and turned on all the games for the kids to play. read more

Klamath Camper Corral is a great find as long as you don't mind slow WiFi. The hook up sites are on level grass areas with plenty of space between RVs. There are plenty of tent sites, but limited shade which is not necessary due to mild temperatures. The hosts are the owners and are very friendly. You can see the campground from the 101 when going north, but going south you may miss the exit. Watch for signs as you head south. I guarantee yo'll love this place! read more

First time staying here, the staff was very friendly and the park very clean. Very kid friendly and a small but clean pool. I was disappointed with the cable, which was unwatchable and advertised WIFI is only if you are right by the office. And no cellular service. Great place to go when escaping technology. I would give Klamath Camper Corral 5 stars, but their internet sucks! I love this campground, and his owner/manager, George and his son George Jr., are terrific. This place is not one of those with millions of rules and negative signs (No dog kennels, No camp fires, etc.) This is the real thing, including a huge black bear that comes to the fish cleaning station to pick up the leftover fish that's left for it nin the bucket. read more

Very nice campground. If you want to fish, this is surely the place to stay; we saw lots of them pulling boats. Nice, clean, fish cleaning station too. Bathrooms very nice and clean, also. Same for the laundry. when I notified an owner that someone's rubber-backed mat had shredded in one of the dryers, he came right away and cleaned it up. I loved the huge, community campfire they make every night. Nice benches and seats to sit on, too, to enjoy it. The sites are spacious and level. We stayed 3 nights; camped in a motor home. We pulled in for one night of camping (without a reservation) and were able to get full hook-ups. The owners were very helpful about local fishing and were able to get my husband an addition to his fishing license by the time we had settled in. The park was beautiful with berry bushes surrounding most of the outside edge. Our dog enjoyed walking to the creek on the trail. The park was very quiet and clean even though it was the middle of summer and there were several children throughout. With all the activities for children, I wish we would have had our grandchildren with us so they could have enjoyed it as well. If we are ever in that area again, I would definitely stay there. It truly was a beautiful setting for a park. read more

Really enjoyed staying in our motorhome at this park. Stayed twice in July 2018. One time heading north, then again on our return trip heading south. Camper Corral is a nice family run park. It has a pool, playground, rec center with 2 pool tables and ping pong table,exercise room as well, as a small laundry mat. It is treed and is a short hike to the Klamath River. read more
