So our first day we set up and out every up and valuables in the tents out of site after returning hiking for the day we returned to find our site had been robbed. They took 2 bags one containing my son's epipen and asthma inhaler and all of our medications along with shoes and clothing. They also took a un opened bottle of whiskey. We told the front desk and reported it. The next day we packed everything back into the car to avoid the theft and only left a cooler next to our tent out of site and again they returned and took another bottle of whiskey out of the cooler along with beers and sodas. They don't have enough staff on grounds watching over guests best interests. Also the bathrooms were never locked, that invites the homeless In to use shower facilities and thefts come either that. They also need cameras installed throughout the whole park. If you stay here plan on loading and unloading every single time you leave.

Name of the site is misleading, this is a parking lot with some hookups, that don't always work, site 21 the cable connection is broke, ending up moving to a different spot. no internet, even Gabrial says there is (CCHD Public Wi-Fi) is non existent. maybe 5 picnic tables in the whole park, no fire rings. Price $$$ for a parking lot with a great view. No redwoods are within 1 mile from the place. There is 1 full-timer from the old park with a lot of stuff around their rig,. and 2 abandoned rv's there .

From the pictures online it looks like the beach and ocean are close, they are not!!! There are several bushes that block your view, and if you wanted to walk to the ocean you would have a very long walk. Spaces on the concrete and spaces on the electrical boxes do not match up. It made a great home base for exploring the area. We stayed in Site 66. While the site itself was nice, it was a little closer to Highway 101 than I would have preferred. Next time, I would choose a site farther back in the campground for a quieter experience. The campground amenities were clean and well-maintained. They offer showers, restrooms, tv hookups, and a small on-site store stocked with basic necessities. They also sell firewood, which was very convenient. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely consider returning, especially if we could snag a site a bit deeper in the park.

My family and I have been camping for forever now, and this has to be one of our favorite…read morecampsites! We stayed for three nights. The location is superb, so close to Trees of Mystery, the Klamath Tour Thru Tree, and just a short drive away from Crescent City. The bathrooms and showers were SO clean and not horrendously outdated like some camp sites. They also had amazingly hot water, which was an extremely pleasant surprise as we were unprepared for how chilly it would be up here. We stayed at camp site A13, right next to the bathroom, with an amazing view and no smell issues. There was plenty of room for our two cars and three tents (one large and two small ones). We didn't really check out the other amenities, but it looked like they had a field where you could play sports and they had free equipment rentals in the shop. Their store is another stand out feature! Some places charge a premium, knowing that their guests have no choice but to pay, yet they had reasonable prices for all of their items. They also pretty much had everything you could ask for in there. We bought their tree and bear mini lego set for $16 and saw it the next day at a different store for $21! Minus one star because their dryer didn't work too well, so we ended up with super damp clothes despite trying to dry it three times :(

He knocked on our door at 10:30pm to collect the payment, cash only, since he wasn't in the office upon arrival. The place is NOT near the beach. It's across a four lane highway and off the road. You cannot see the ocean or any sunset as advertised. It appears that most of the people there are long-term residents with old, uncared for rigs. Messy areas around sites, lots of weeds and an unkempt look to the whole park. In the morning, the manager, or his designee, showed up as were hooking up our rig and asked why we were leaving!!! He seemed to have forgotten that he told us the night before that we couldn't have two nights! We had gone out early and found another RV site in another park and left. We would never stay here again. Regarding the bathroom and laundry, we have no idea... I can only assume.

It's quiet, sheltered from the wind and is close to eateries, not to mention right across the street from the beach. We will definitely stay here again.
