My family and I have been camping for forever now, and this has to be one of our favorite campsites! We stayed for three nights. The location is superb, so close to Trees of Mystery, the Klamath Tour Thru Tree, and just a short drive away from Crescent City. The bathrooms and showers were SO clean and not horrendously outdated like some camp sites. They also had amazingly hot water, which was an extremely pleasant surprise as we were unprepared for how chilly it would be up here. We stayed at camp site A13, right next to the bathroom, with an amazing view and no smell issues. There was plenty of room for our two cars and three tents (one large and two small ones). We didn't really check out the other amenities, but it looked like they had a field where you could play sports and they had free equipment rentals in the shop. Their store is another stand out feature! Some places charge a premium, knowing that their guests have no choice but to pay, yet they had reasonable prices for all of their items. They also pretty much had everything you could ask for in there. We bought their tree and bear mini lego set for $16 and saw it the next day at a different store for $21! Minus one star because their dryer didn't work too well, so we ended up with super damp clothes despite trying to dry it three times :( read more

Don't skip on this place! We stayed here 3 nights while visiting on a very long road trip across the country, we stayed at three different spots and this was the best one! Bathrooms and showers are very clean and comfortable, code locked and secure. The campground itself is gorgeous and every site for setting up is roomy and incredibly well kept. You can tell the staff and hosts take great pride in this campground. There's water pumps and electrical outlets at many of the sites, and everyone at the front desk is incredibly helpful and considerate. Redwood national park, Trees of Mystery, and the outlet of Klamath river into the sea boast views we'll be dreaming about for years to come. We will be back read more

Stayed here for two nights recently. Lovely place with decent rates and nice facilities for bathrooms/showers. I do wonder if there would be enough capacity when the park is full tho. Anyway, great location right by the river. Good spot for a base camp to explore the nearby parks from. And the staff is amazing! Super friendly and welcoming. read more

This park was a wonderful place to stay. Clean, quiet and the staff was the most personable I've experienced at a park.

It was such a nice stay! It was raining and the nice man who worked in the store helped us and moved our location so we weren't in the mud and I appreciated that so much. His name was so beautiful but hard to remember I wish I could have included it! He was super friendly and my stay wouldn't have been good if it wasn't for him so thank you very much! read more

We had a wonderful time here. The staff is exceptional, friendly, and very accommodating. Very clean and well cared for property. We stayed in the Mesa area in a pull thought site. Full hook ups including sewer were available in this area. We had shade as well. There is a short hike to access the river and about 1.5 mile treck to get to the beach. I recommend bikes if you do not have a car for the beach trip. It was a short drive to the Trees of Mystery. We will definitely stay here again. Bears are active in this area read more

Our family (two adults and two younger children) stayed at Kamp Kalama for several nights in a tent while exploring the Redwoods at the end of June/July, and we had such a wonderful experience. All the staff were so friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The campground felt safe, our site was spacious with a picnic table and fire ring, and we loved the convenience of having firewood delivered right to our campsite. The showers were very nice. The little camp store was also great for picking up ice and other essentials. The location was perfect for exploring the Redwoods, and it was always nice to come back and relax after a day of adventures. We'd 100% stay here again! read more

Hidden Gem! We camped in a tent here. The grounds were exceptional with cleanliness, gorgeous trees, furns. Very friendly and accommodating staff. The tent campsites are great at the back with more privacy with denser foliage. Quick, less than a mile, drive up the road to beach access the the mouth of Klamath. read more

What an Awesome campground! We were very impressed by the welcome we received from the camp host. A young guy that has a knack for his job! He guided us right to our camp spot and guided us in, gave us great tips and such a friendly guy!! The campground is very clean, spacious,and quiet (April!). We love the property, so green and lots of areas to walk and explore. read more

Two areas for improvement are more bathrooms (and a mirror in the shower area) and enforcing the rules (our neighbors were up making noise until two and there was trash all over their campsite- at least we knew the bear would go there before our site). read more

This campground set the bar in every category.  This is one of the nicest campgrounds I have visited.  The staff is friendly and helpful.  The sites are meticulously maintained with a ground staff that ensures everything is in tip top shape!  Although the campsites are not spread far apart, there is ample space to set up comfortably.  The Klamath RIver is a short hike away with well kept trails.  Showers and bathrooms are clean.   We bought a bundle of firewood for $20 that lasted three days with enough left over to share with our neighbor when we left.  I would not hesitate to book another stay at Kamp Klamath. read more

It was our first time at this camp. We loved it. The check in and out was simple. The place is beautiful and well kept and maintained. It's kid friendly with slides and swings. The free hot shower was nice. The bathroom was clean. We like that we can buy ice and logs at the campsite. Its near by local site seeing spots. We will come back. read more

I stayed at Kamp Klamath from July 12-15th and me and my group had a great experience. Nellie and Sharon at the front desk were extremely helpful in working with our group to put all of our sites (3) close together, as well as placed us in a good position within the campground! The campground itself is beautiful, situated just a few hundred yards from the banks of the Klamath River. There was plenty of space for kids to roam and play, they had a deck for gatherings near the general store, and the store, albeit small, was well stocked. The location in terms of proximity to everything in the park was perfect. You could get to most places within a 30 minute drive. Lastly, the bathrooms were small but VERY clean. The showers had HOT water throughout our stay, and that is something we were not necessarily used to, having stayed at multiple campgrounds over the years. We would DEFINITELY stay here again on another visit and look forward to the time when we can do so! Five stars for Kamp Klamath! read more

Staff and maintenance amazing 10/10!! Everyone that works here is so nice. They obviously want the camp experience to be the best. Everything was extremely well maintained throughout our (3 night) stay (lawns mowed, bathrooms and showers kept clean and in working order, each camp site cleaned). Wood delivered to site after purchase. The general store was cute and had some the essentials. It was really great on their part. The downsides are non-controllables. 1.The site is close to the road, which gets a lot of heavy trucks/tv/boats driving by, so there is some traffic noise. There is so many gosh darn crows-they are loud. And the camp sites themselves could be a little bigger/more private (depending on which one you have). Overall: love and will be back again read more

This was our very first solo RV camping spot. Absolutely loved this place. We were running super later than we had hoped for and the staff was able to accommodate our late arrival. They had fire wood ready for us at our camp site and even helped us get to our spot in the dark. There are plenty of things to do here, light walking trails and even a 2.2 mile walk to Klamath beach. We even had a run in with a bear, but the staff were on it. They knew exactly what to do and was informative about what to do with a bear in the area. We will definitely be coming back to this spot. Super affordable. Biggest reason is the fact that they are pet friendly and allowing up to 3 dogs. Most rv spots we searched only allowed 1-2 dogs. read more

We were passing through the area on our way to Oregon. We had trouble finding anywhere with availability that seemed clean & safe enough for two women traveling alone. We were lucky enough to have a friend recommend Kamp Klamath & we were beyond pleasantly surprised!! We stayed in one of the more secluded tent sites behind the meadow (R3) which was clean, quiet, private & a short, enjoyable walk to all the amenities. They have a laundry room which allowed us to catch-up on a weeks worth of laundry & warm (& free!) showers! We ended up staying two nights & on our second night, the camp owner & his family put on a dinner for the campers & staff!! I've never stayed at a campsite that was as welcoming as this! One of the staff members even dressed up as Big Foot to entertain the campers & take pictures! I will 1000% stay here again if I'm in the area read more

This was our third visit in 5ish years. Lots of great upgrades in the bathrooms, laundry etc. The campus looks better than ever. My niece loved the playground and we appreciated the fact they deliver the firewood to your site. I dreaded leaving! We just camped at Kamp Klamath for the first time and I know for sure we'll be back. The camp was beautifully maintained and run very organized. The campground offered everything we could think of. Great sites, trail to the river, playgrounds for the kids with volleyball, horseshoe, tether ball with the options to borrow equipment and balls. The bathrooms and porta-potties were all very clean and accessible to all sites. The campgrounds were also very close to the beach and Trees of Mystery. We loved every minute we spent at Kamp Klamath!! Scott and Paula were extremely helpful and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The campsite was well maintained and set beautifully among the trees. It was a short walk down a lovely path to river...which was gorgeous. The mouth of the river, where the river meets the ocean was about a mile away. The campground had a wonderful garden, a spacious deck, a convenient camp store and plenty to explore!! We had a perfect, relaxing weekend at Kamp Klamath. Very nice location, full hook- ups, cable and wi fi works dry well. And best of all the price is great! Staff is friendly and not crabby. Doesn't have concrete pads and paved roads but they did have plenty of gravel down. No dust problems. We will be back. read more

I just finished staying at Kamp Klamath. It is a truly magical place!! It is on the Klamath river. There is a lovely spot on the river with a little bench and fire pit. It is only about a mile to where the river meets the ocean. There is a great old native american ceremonial area. There are seals and birds galore. The staff at the park are amazing and so helpful. It is on about 33 acres of the most beautiful trees and flowers. You will want to be sure to stay at this fabulous park! read more

This was our second time camping here and we love it! The site is nice and secluded, has a very quiet and peaceful atmosphere, and a great location by the beach and just a few minutes from Trees of Mystery. We love the playground and big open field for the kids to play in. I accidentally booked a less than ideal site for our three night stay (a site very near other campers with our family having 3 kids under 6), but after the first night they happily let us change sites when requested. Our second site was very private and beautiful and much better for our busy and noisy children. We will be back! read more

Pulled up to camp klamath late in the dark coming all the way from orange county and was greeted by our camp host Gary. He dialed us in with the camp and even some areas to look at to fish salmon as that was the reason ftor our trip. After our first day we were invited to an outstanding camp dinner for all that included grilled chicken, fresh caught local salmon, tri tip with fresh picked boysenberry sauce gary made (amazing!), salad & cut potatoes. The place has lots of room to accommodate many guest and the river is a quick walk away. Just want to thank Gary for being an outstanding camp host and look forward to the next trip. To wrap it up, we're first time guest to this area and felt very welcomed and are already looking forward to coming back up! read more
