She is compassionate, relatable, and understanding yet will effectively confront issues head on and challenge your old ways of thinking. I found Karina after deciding talk therapy wasn't working and wanted to try a more active approach. The first thing I noticed was that she was extremely perceptive and just by talking to me and observing my behaviors pointed out problematic thoughts and actions right off the bat that no one else has ever bothered to notice. These included obsessive behaviors and hoarding tendencies. We worked together to find constructive ways of changing behaviors using CBT. If you want to find real solutions and take action I can't recommend Karina enough. After working with her I realized I had wasted so much money on other therapists who did little more than sit and listen without offering real solutions. She helps clear out the energy in your body using Reiki, and has the most gentle and intuitive way of weeding out the root of issues through her counseling. I was so impressed with the ability to pinpoint certain reflective patterns in my life and the root of their cause. It was really amazing to see how I progressed as we went along through the sessions. It is something that is worth investing in and showing up consistently for to see results over time, although you can see results with just one session. The Reiki can help clear out physical pain as Chris has helped me with this regarding my fractured leg and other injuries. Regarding my emotional & mental healing journey, Chris reached out to me and offered her services after the devastating and traumatic loss of my mom. I had a good feeling and accepted her offer. The grief was blinding and insurmountable and layered on top of plenty of other issues in my young adult life. Showing up to the first session, I felt so held and seen and safe in the room and was able to dive into some really heavy things to help process and adjust the root of the pain. Chris helped me every step of the way and I think her practice is super unique and supportive for people dealing with trauma, grief, physical pain, the inability to break certain unhealthy patterns, you name it.
