DJ Iqkwak handled my entire Indian wedding week, beginning with the Sangeet, then the wedding, and finally my reception, and he was OUTSTANDING! Having the right DJ makes all the difference at your wedding, and I could not be happier that I found him! My sangeet was a little bit different in that we did a karaoke party, and I'll be honest...I wasn't the best about communication or the most available during the month leading up to the wedding, so I didn't really get a chance to send Iqwak any music for the karaoke. It didn't make one bit of a difference because he was SO prepared and knew exactly what to do to make a perfectly memorable karaoke sangeet. After just the first night, our guests were raving about him and his music choice, especially for the dance portion. He was also so helpful with my relatives who were performing at the events, and he coordinated directly with them so that I didn't have to worry about playing the middleman. Another thing I loved was that he used my music choices throughout the week. He created a drop box so that it was super easy for me to send him the music I wanted to use throughout the week. There were certain songs I wanted to hear during dinner, or cocktail hour, or what not, and he played them all! A lot of DJs have that attitude of "oh you don't know what you're doing, leave it to me," but he listened to me and allowed me to pick and choose music for every moment that I wanted to. Everything was super coordinated and beautiful at the wedding. I had cousins come up to me and tell me that the music was so beautiful and moving, and his timing of everything was on point. Finally, the reception was insane. We couldn't get people to leave! His music choices were amazing, and the party went on until the venue kicked us out! Enough about how great of a DJ he is though...I also want to mention that he is just a great guy overall. He was such a hit with all of my family and guests, and even took a moment during the wedding to come up to me and my new husband to congratulate us! Usually when a vendor comes up to you during your event, you're worried something is wrong, but that was such a nice refreshing surprise!
