Alligator experience
Mackenzie J.

This place was freaking dope. Sydney, our tour guide, was so knowledgeable and gave us a phenomenal and personable experience. Even if you're a local to Louisiana, play tourist for a day and check this place out!! As an animal lover I was in heaven. We will be back!

As usual, I was looking for things to do in this overwhelming heat, and I see this, and while it is something probably best not done in the heat, I quickly forgot about the heat and was reminded once I got here and was outside on the tour. I came just as they had started a tour on a Saturday. Despite the heat, the tour guide was funny and informative. There were emu's, alligators, a crocodile, peacock, a turkey, lizards, snakes, and just so much to see. I really enjoyed myself and look forward to bringing guests with me in the future. It is reasonably priced. They are looking to move to a larger plot of land in the fall, so be aware of that. I really enjoyed watching the reactions of the kids that were on the tour. I did not quite catch the name of the tour guide, but evidently he was well known to some of the other people on the tour as he is an announcer for something local.

Cool experience! It says gator tour, however there were many other animals. We took a walk through a petting zoo, basically. There were gators to observe and we held a small friendly one. But I wouldn't call it a gator tour. The gift shop is hot and smelly. There were cats in the restroom. Don't even think about washing your hands- no running water. The tour guides were awesome! The children enjoyed!

Friendly, knowledgeable. Truly a one of a kind experience for all ages. Get those hands dirty, be ready to something new, and great memories to be made.

Such a fun little last minute stop ! Our tour guides were awesome Mrs. Katie & little Waylon! Waylon was very knowledgeable about the animals and very funny! Mrs. Katie was awesome too , very brave feeding those gators and so entertaining!!

Kittens everywhere

Took our kids here while camping nearby. We got there right at 11 when they opened. We wait in the store area. There is no air Conditioning anywhere and it's crazy hot. There are kittens running around everywhere (which my kids loved) and lots of other animals to see in cages. We purchased two buckets of feed for the animals. Once the tour started (closer to 11:30) we were led around the grounds. Beware! Wear old shoes. It's very wet and muddy. Animal feces and urine from the ducks and run off from the pens. There were also a bunch of mosquitos. The tour was very informative and there were several chances to hold some of the animals. As an adult I was miserably hot and sweaty but my kids loved every minute of it.

This was a great little place! They gave us discounts for being medical and military. Super affordable! We feel in love with the animal

We stayed in Louisiana for four days and this place was the highlight of our entire trip. It was magical getting to interact with the creatures, critters, and slithering serpents. Many memories were had here and it's all thanks to Frankie. She did a fantastic job introducing us to the animals; her energy, enthusiasm, and knowledge was impressive.

The biggest alligator they have there right now!

This place was super fun! My family and I stopped by as a part of my birthday trip to New Orleans and i do not regret it one bit! Our guide was educational and it was awesome interacting and feeding so many different animals! the feed buckets were $5 in addition to admission. The place is definitely kid friendly and they make plenty of safety precautions. If you are being COVID conscious, they do not require masks so that is something to consider! My family personally decided to stick to wearing our masks to be safe but it was fun regardless!

Richard was our tour guide. Very friendly older fella had a scar from being dragged into the water years back. Just having to walk around the farm in the Louisiana humidity was quite unbearable. They need to speed up the tour a bit everyone was miserable from the heat.

Love this place!!! I've been here for a week visiting from California and I've been here three times lol. Today we purchased alligator tail to take back home. (I won't be eating lol) But I had to say good bye to the little skunk friend I made here. They have the CUTEST little baby skunk that is so friendly ( I can't remember his name) Coming here definitely made me want one of my own.. but unfortunately in California it's illegalannoying but whatever . The second time I came here my cuzzin and I went on the alligator tour, it was super adorable and totally worth it! We got to feed the alligators and even hold a baby one! Great tour guides and I'll definitely be back when I come back to visit!

If you enjoy off-the-beaten path adventures and want to be entertained and also sorta freaked out, this would be the place for you. This isn't a shiny touristy stop, this is legit swamp people running an odd and wonderful animal attraction. The gift shop and reception area smells very strongly of animal so prepare your noses. As you wait for your tour to start, you can check out all the snakes, turtles, and other creatures lining the walls. Once your tour starts, you can pet a skunk, sit on a turtle as he walks around, and hold an alligator that tour guide will wrestle to the ground for you. It's a lot to take in, but we'll be talking about this place for a while. (If you've seen the viral video of the family who used their crocodile to help with their gender reveal party, this is the family and you'll see that croc. We were there the day after the party and the croc was napping off his party hangover in one of the swamps.)

A fun stop! Lots of hands on with the animals. The staff is very friendly and full of information.

I booked an extended Manchac Swamp kayak tour during a visit to New Orleans in late February,…read morewanting to see the swamp and its wildlife in a more personal and eco-friendly way than the more popular airboat and alligator-feeding tours. My partner and I have some experience paddling and wanted plenty of time to see wildlife and get deep in the swamp for the best scenery, and for us the extended tour was the right choice! I'd recommend it to visitors to New Orleans who love nature, the outdoors, and/or getting a fun and unique workout in during vacation. We were on the water for about 4 hours. Sunscreen, sunglasses, shoes you don't mind getting wet, and PLENTY of water are a must! There are stops at a truck stop right before and after for the bathroom and buying any drinks/snacks, plus a stop on dry land during the tour. Our guide Nick was clearly dedicated to both paddling and nature even outside of work, and our tour felt less like a scripted performance as some tours can be and more like a buddy was showing and telling you things he was passionate about. We saw several small alligators, barred owls, hawks, turtles, and water birds. It was unseasonably warm so the reptiles were a treat to see, and it was awesome getting to see owls out in daylight which I'd never be able to pick out myself. Bring binoculars if you have them! My only small complaint, which has nothing to do with the tour itself: the AI-generated content on the company's Instagram page is kind of weird. Photos and videos from actual tours would be more honest and enticing!

MJ was fantastic, very knowledgeable. Plenty of gators to see, birds, and a turtle…read more Great time on the water for amour first trip to New Orleans! Can't recommend this tour enough. Ask for MJ!

Meh, glad we went, but would not book with them and cannot recommend. We decided to book and drive…read moreourselves there since it was a bit more expensive for us to drive than pay for three people to go from their office in downtown. They told us to be there 15 minutes before our tour start time and we were there 20 minutes before, but the tour guide was 10 minutes late past the start of the tour itself. We thought we were in the wrong place and tried to get in contact with the tour agency. Got voicemail the first time and it was this random woman's number, but then called the same number a minute later and a guy told us the tour operator was on his way and then needed to pick up the supplies. It seems that they should have communicated that earlier and they should have a better system in place. The launch from the boat area was into a busy area right under the freeway and our guide basically was like hangout there and wait for me. That foreshadowed the rest of the tour for us, he basically was distant from us most of the tour, either way in front or way behind and we were a total tour of four people. There was no discussion about what we would see beyond him showing us alligators. At one point we were in the deeper section and a massive log was in the way, he went over and faced the opposite direction while the four of us struggled to get our kayaks over the log. He told us to go around and we got stuck because it was more elevated on the side and just sat on his phone the entire time while we helped each other. I get we were a group coming together, but it felt like he just told us which way to go, but didn't do any real guiding. We even helped him load and unload the supplies from the kayak. I think this tour company needs to be better organized and train their guides on what they should do to become tour guides.

I booked a private photo tour and a group kayaking tour. Both were outstanding. I got great photos…read moreand learned a lot.
