I asked the barber Kenny for a haircut that would emphasize my sky top, he was able to deliver and since I have stuck with him. I have seen the work of May of the other barbers and can genuinely confirm they all have pure talent. The energy in the shop definitely gives a family vibe. They're very inclusive and welcoming to all. Allows me to not only get a fresh cut, but also have a good experience in my day. I can't say that I've had a bad experience. When in Long Island and this is the only spot I would recommend. I'm originally from Brooklyn and not easy to please. The barbers here go above and beyond. Terrible customer service. You walk in and don't get acknowledged and barbers act like they are doing you a favor. They have prices on the wall but when I asked they said it was old and not valid. Absolute TRASH. (This is his regular barbershop as per the family-all the brothers go here). Third time taking my client here and the second time with the Barber Gregory (Gregori). Came in--one in the chair, two waiting, making my client third--nothing was said to us when we came in. Said hello got no response. He finishes with the last of the two before my client then completely disregards us attempting to take other clients. I say wait he is next we've been sitting here this whole time (hour and 45mins). He has the audacity tell me "well you came in and sat down and said nothing. You should've asked. You're supposed to speak to the barber." Came here a total of three times. Figured I would give an honest review, and to do so id give it more than just a single visit. All the visits I asked for the same thing, keep the top neat and a nice fade and a trim of the beard 1st time: Came in to the shop around 3pm , and it was packed (good sign). The place was booming and the atmosphere was great. I had T da Barber, and he was very welcoming. He sat me down,.I described what I wanted and he started his work. He gets in the phone and through the whole cut hes in the phone. I didnt mind it please he still seemed focus on the cut and I was dazed out trying to ignore the conversation. He starts on my beard with a straightedge, he doesnt notice I have sensitive skin and keeps shaving. He dusts me off, sprays some alcohol, In I look in the mirror and its a flawless cut. Gave him $25 bucks shook his hand and was on my merry way. My face was still stinging, after but I knew the feeling before. Overall a good experience, just wish that he was more in tune with me having sensitive skin before cutting. 2nd time: Came on a Sunday once they opened and only one barber was there, wasnt T unfortunately. He sits me down, I describe the cut,.and he goes to work. He too gets on the phone and hes talking throughout the whole the cut. From T's experience I think nothing of it. He too also uses a straightedge. He dusts me off, doesnt spray me, I look in the mirror and.the cut is terrible. Nothing that I described was done, the only thing that look decent was the beard. Gave him $20 and walked out. 3rd time: Came in on Wednesday at around 3pm. I was greeted by Slim immediately. Off the jump I was a bit nervous because of my last experience but I remebered hearing about how Slim is an absolute beast with some clippers. He sits me down, I describe the cut, and he gets to work. During the cut he periodically stops, cracks a few jokes, greets a few people and has numerous convos with patrons. He finishes the cut, cleans up the top with absolute precision and takes care of the beard with a straight-edge. I looked in the mirror and the cut was absolutely flawless. Every aspect was sharp from the beard to the top was to perfection. He dusts and sprays alcohol on me and I proceed to pay. Although not terrible or amazing service, it still took a bit longer than I hoped for a cut. I didnt leave the shop until 4:45. Gave Slim $25 shook his hand and walked out Overall the shop is a decent shop. Cleanliness is a bit of an issue in my opinion with some of the barbers I watched while getting my cut. But Slim does live up to the legend. If he just speeds up and tones down the conversations it would be much better of an experience. I would recommend, but there are def. bettter shops. Place is very good never had a bad haircut with them. Not gonna lie the customer service needs a little work though sometimes you walk in there and no one says anything to you, but other than that they really do give a good cut. Walked in with my nephew and no one even looked at us. A bunch of men working here with the worst customer service skills ever. All the reviews are lies. They are only giving good reviews because they know someone that works there and want a good name. It is not professional at all. You can see that as soon as you walk in. Their tip jars are alcohol bottles. I've waited a hour to get a haircut and ended up leaving because of the horrible service. Been going to this barbershop for a while now and I have to say Alex , Biggs , Lou , and Slim are the barbers you wanna ask for when you walk in. Bet friendly atmosphere and you'll usually hear funny conversations, but overall the barbershop is great! But be warned those barbers are usually very busy so speak up or your gonna sit there for a while because people make their appointments so ask for one of the barbers I mentioned before. But their are other barbers there that are good as well just my preference within that barbershop. read more

It was our first (and last time) here. We were walk ins and when we entered they told us they could take us. When we sat down, my son saw this little boy's hair that he really liked. Before we started I told Darwin that I wanted my son's hair to be cut similiar to that boys and my son wanted the "zig zag". After he finished, the haircut looked nothing like what we requested and then he tells us no design bc he couldn't do them. He also told us the haircut cost $15 even though the sign posted said boys haircuts under 8 yo were $10. I walked into Klipper Kings on a sunny afternoon. Only 2 barbers were there. I've been here multiple times, and never had a problem until now. I know that these guys do a good job because they take their time, and don't rush to deliver great haircuts. However, today I left upset. As barbers came in around 1:00, I sat and waited while random people they knew came right in and sat down before me. Wasn't even acknowledged. all the new person had to say was a few words to the barber, walk away, come back and sit down in the barbers chair. Rather than stand up, and complain, I simply just walked out. I don't know what happened guys, I just felt like I was being ignored for being a waiting customer. When my son turned one I decided it was time for a haircut. I always remembered passing by Klipper Kings when I would walk home from high school and they always seemed to have a upbeat positive vibe from the constant customers walking in and out of the shop, so I decided to give it a shot. I ended up having John as the first barber to ever cut my sons hair. The wait wasn't long. He conveyed a sensible sense of patience being that it was my sons first haircut. Not only did he have much patience but he was also very understanding of the emotions not only that my son had but as well as mine knowing it was my child's first hair cut. Every time I want to bring my son in I just set up an appointment with no issues upon arrival. If there is a little wait, they always accommodate to my sons needs by either entertaining him or putting a children's show on the TV, which I applaud you for taking the customers wait into consideration. All the workers here are very welcoming, especially one of the owners Danny. He always greets me with a smile and greets my child as well. All of these barbers express great amount of talent, it's a very friendly environment. I definitely recommend this barbershop if you ever need a nice fresh clean cut.
