This is a good lounge at Schipol AMS that serves passengers on non European flights. The location is a bit distant in the F gates if your flight departs from the D gates (a 10 minute walk). However, the other KLM lounge located near D gates is for European flights only. The space is huge with hundreds of seats and two bars-food stations. They have Heineken on tap!!!! Wines are a white, red, and champagne which are self serve. Food consists of cheeses, meats, soup, and meatballs. All good. There is a large relaxation room to the right of the entrance where you can nap, but there is no wake up call option and food + drink not allowed. read more

A nice oasis from the hustle of the lower level entrance gates, shops, immigration lines & general public craziness, especially when you're fighting jet lag. The food & open bar was very nicely done and service was friendly. Sure, it's crowded, even in this huge lounge, but you don't have to fight for outlets, comfortable seating and wifi. I just wish the bathrooms were upgraded/remodeled - it was very surprisingly low-end and dingy (not bc it wasn't cleaned, just that it was no frills, very small and rundown, like a diner restaurant's bathroom). This is a great airport lounge. It located on the second floor above all of the hustle and bustle of the airport. It is very big and has a lot of beverages to choose from. There are also a lot of TV to catch up on what is happening in the world around you. If you have more than an hour layover, I would definitely stop by and enjoy the views, beverages and snacks. read more

Super spacious, clean, never crowded. Located in D area of Amsterdam airport, this KLM lounge is one of the largest I have ever been in. Food selection has quite limited hot meals but good quality cold cuts, cheeses, whole fruits and drinks. Full bar, with only Pinot Noir and Zinfandel selection of red wine. Sparkling wine, white wine and champagne also available. Showers are spacious, with great comfort. Bathrooms are clean. Around 20 computers, of course good wifi. TV area is in the middle and even smoking area is available. Probably it can accommodate 500 people seated. Electric plugs are next to every seat. If you need to sleep, there's not much option. Seats and couches are designed to be seated. Not meant for extra long layovers. :P Staff is service oriented. Open to help and inside keeping the kitchen and sitting area tidy. Definitely a place where you can rest prior or in between flights after a long day. read more

Worst thing these days at Schiphol is the horrendously chaotic and disorganized boarding process for Delta flights by KLM's ground team. They set the record for slowest process despite 15+ people working a departure. Seems to get worse with each passing year.... Get with it Delta and hire your own people in AMS. read more

Really busy but fortunately really large and spread out. Not a ton of chow but the bar is well stocked. In fact, I'd say there is more booze than anything. A first for me was I noticed (and smelled) an actual smoking lounge in the club..(despite being Holland, no weed. Not that I asked but just from what I observed!). It's not everyday I find myself en route to India, but since I had a layover here in Amsterdam, I thought why not treat myself to the crown lounge. The place is full of comfortable chairs with power outlets (you can get adapters from the desk). The wifi is free and decently fast. Drinks and food are complimentary. Some, highlights include champagne (great for mimosas) vodka, Heineken, and lots more. There are showers which allow you to clean of "travel grime" and feel refreshed for the remainder of your travels. Totally worth it. The food options are not that great but that might have been because it was breakfast. I don't know. read more

KLM staffs its lounge with the polite-but-not-friendly-or-helpful worker common in the European service market. Any question is met with a casual admission of ignorance. Customers are meant to feel like a second, and indeed silly priority. The food and overall accommodations feel like the service - pleasant enough to be present, but not present enough to be useful. read more

I access this lounge when I get a chance. This lounge has excellent facilities like shower, comfy sofas and chairs, various choices on food and drinks and has easily accessible WIFI. The latest I was there was on July 28th, 2017 while flying back to US. I am a Diamond Medallion with Delta and My wife is Gold Medallion. We had two kids with us (each one guest for me and my wife). One particular representative at the lounge said that due to ongoing construction she can not allow any guest and will only allow me and my wife since we have flying status. Kids were very tired after a 8 hour flight and I also had a long layover at Amsterdam. The representative was not willing to listen and told us to come back after 11 AM local time. As a result we were forced to spend time outside till 11 AM and then we re-approached the lounge. This time I went to another representative and she immediately allowed us in. Okay, this is the one I love from KLM ... It's spacious and well maintained. The hot showers are refreshing when nursing a hang over ( 99% of the time this applies). Great selection of free booze( see pic) for a little hair of the dog cure. My only complaint is that I wish the hot food did not taste so generic and airplaney ( is that a word)? Oh, one more request KLM, get a M&M dispenser like in Houston please, that will make me happy. I know you are all about making me happy these days, right? Just get the M&M 's. read more

Only complaint is I could only get cold water in the bathroom sinks, which allowed for teeth brushing but not shaving.... but I'm not complaining. I loved the snacks (perhaps I'm just dying for variety from the normal Delta Sky Club fare!) and the free wifi worked well except requires accepting "cookies" on your i-phone, which I did not like. read more

Never seen so many vultures in suits congregated in one lounge. Shamelessly throwing back glass after glass of the top shelf goodies. And I was shamelessly part of this. Sans suit. I had a business class ticket to YVR on KLM so I took advantage of this lounge. This was the most stressful lounge that I have ever been to in my life. I have been in some crappy lounges but nothing is more stressful than this crowd scene. The lounge is big but the amount of people in there is suffocating. The service people here are also very unfriendly and very short with their answers so you have no idea what they are talking about. The food selection is a complete joke. I had no sleep the night before in LIS and to relieve a bit of anxiety, I poured my self a shot of cognac in a little glass and had it on a tray and sat down. A grumpy old bussing lady palmed my glass with her dirty witchy looking hands and put it on the table and took the tray. She gave me a scoffing look like what are you drinking at 11AM. I definitely did not drink out of that glass after that. Disgusting!! It did not help that there were kids crying everywhere either. I hated this chaotic lounge! read more

The food selection was limited, but they had fruit and yogurt, so one star for healthy options. Another star for the employees keeping everything tidy despite the swarms of people. The final 3 stars are for having the most attractive clientele of any airport lounge I've seen. No obese Americans in sweatpants in sight! read more

The two women working at the desk first wouldn't let all 5 of my family members in, despite my father's executive status with flying on Delta/KLM. My father asked to see a manager at least three times and the women just kept repeating the rule that he could only bring one guest in due to new rules. Our flight (their airline) was delayed two hours and we weren't even allowed to stand in the lobby area where people check into the club lounge. We didn't want the free drinks or food or special showers - just a comfy seat for two hours that we're usually allotted. FYI, repeating a rule does not count as customer service. read more

My first time in the KLM lounge, on my way to Canada. This lounge is really big and spacious with ample seating places. The location is a little out of the way, I was actually lucky to be leaving from gate F. But I suppose if you've got an hours long layover the location doesn't really matter. I have to say the selection of food was disappointing, it's really more of a snack than a meal and not that much choice. The free wifi and drinks are quite nice though, and really what the lounge has going for it is that it is a quiet place to relax while you have to wait around at the airport. I can imagine also that the showers are really nice if you've just come off a long flight. All in all, other than the disappointing food selection I enjoyed the lounge. read more

One of the worst airline lounges I have ever had the misfortune of entering. Rude, abrupt staff at check in counter; they acted like Soviet Union workers. Inside, the food choices at 4pm were atrocious. Poor selection, poor quality and depressing. I was honestly shocked, as this is supposed to be their most elite lounge for first class flyers. It was so bad, I left and discovered the Aspire lounge, which my Priority Pass card permitted me to enter for free. I had assumed it would be worse than Lounge 52. It actually was somewhat better. My advice: don't bother with the long walk to Lounge 52. Go anywhere else; buy some food on your own, or go to the Priority Pass lounge. I have never written a negative review of an airport lounge before, but my experience was so bad I am moved to do so today. read more

This is the worst flying experience in my life. I was booked on a Delta flight operated by KLM to JFK, NY Airport. The first leg of my trip- Barcelona to Amsterdam was delayed 1 1/2 hours. Upon getting to Amsterdam, I found out the flight to JFK was cancelled. Another passenger informed me. I waited in line in an area called T6 for 4 hours in line to get booked on a flight to Boston connecting to JFK on the next day. Again, flight was delayed, and the Boston to JFK flight was gone. Was on stand bye in another flight to NYC. On top of that my luggage never arrived. I am still waiting for it. The stay in Amsterdam was horrific. All my clothes were in my luggage and both the regular and carry on were checked in Barcelona because the aircraft did not have room for carry on. I have not seen my luggage, souvenirs, and other items since checking in the Barcelona Airport. Now all Delta wants to do is give me Miles to the frequent flyer program for all this hassle. I declined. I will never fly Delta again. I also lost at the gate in Amsterdam a big Souvenir Umbrella that I bought in Rome. The security was high and they rushed us into the gate and thats where I lost my nerves and left my beautiful umbrella behind. The Delta staff was nasty, did not give me any ideas on how and where I can claim my lost item. All in all, it was horrific. read more

The use of this lounge appears to have grown dramatically in recent years. It is now and overcrowded, noisy and dingy place to wait between flights despite recent renovations. Lines to get to the first counter to be admitted are horrendous at peak hours. Once inside you have to get a number to speak to an agent. There is a numbering system which appears to give priority to customers according to their frequent flyer status or flight ticket purchased. Service at this counter is incredibly slow. Furthermore, it is a real public relations blunder as you'll frequently see agents sitting at the desks without helping a passenger. If you dare try to ask one of these agents a quick questions, you'll get a rude, obnoxious and arrogant response. If you want to make a complaint agents will refuse to give their name and they wear badges that are nameless and just say Agent. Often the agent has a cup of coffee and a roll at their desk --- not a passenger --- how unprofessional! After waiting an hour it was time for me to go to my flight and I hadn't had an opportunity to speak to an agent. There were 30 people ahead of me for a shower and I never got my turn. Lavatories are crowded and there is a female employee cleaning the male urinal area while being used by customers. Food is plentiful, but the area is crowded and the quality is marginally acceptable. I've had much better choices at other airline lounges. I enjoy visiting the Netherlands, but I found the people working in this lounge to be atypical of the kind and caring nature of the Dutch. This lounge is not of the same quality as the Delta lounges in both the States and overseas and other Skyteam facilities. read more
