Kyle and his crews completed the following for our 2,400 sq foot home in September 2020 - Interior paint of all surfaces (walls, trim, ceilings, built ins) Interior wood floor refinishing Garage epoxy and wall paint Exterior paint of all surfaces including prep work of power washing and wood repair (siding, trim, shed etc) Exterior stain of all wood surfaces (deck, treehouse, swing set) We purchased a home in West Hartford when I was 36 weeks pregnant. We had a tight timeline to have a complete cosmetic overhaul of our home prior to moving in. Kyle was extremely attentive and helpful during the quote process. Our closing got moved a few times and Kyle was always accessible to discuss a change in start date and was flexible with us for scheduling. Kyle was extremely helpful with design decisions. He offers lots of expertise regarding colors, etc. he was always available to discuss options and provide samples. Kyle's crews completed all of the contracted work in 14 days! It was unbelievable how hard they worked (day and night) to get all of the work completed. It truly transformed our entire home! We would highly recommend the services provided by Kyle and his crews. Some tips for working with this vendor - Make sure to review the scope of the contract with Kyle in detail. There was some miscommunication regarding whether our finished basement space was included in our contract which stipulated all interior surfaces that cropped up on day 9 of the work. Kyle made this right and his crews painted this room, as well, but it required some discussion. If you are on a tight time table we would recommend checking in on the property regularly and touching base with Kyle on the timeline and being clear on when you need the work to be done. He often reminded us that the work being done would take other contractors 2 months to complete when it seemed we were getting close to our "drop dead" move in date and the work may not be 100% wrapped. While this reminder was well intentioned we selected this contractor because he indicated the work could be done in 9 to 15 days as contracted. If I could leave negative stars I would. Kyle was very quick to sell me his services along with his "10 year warranty" but DO NOT BELIEVE HIM. He sent a very unqualified group of men. They started painting the trim on my house on day one without ever doing any sanding or wood replacing as promised by Kyle. The paint job quickly failed and I was left with a mess within 2 months of having the house painted. I have been asking for his company to come back and fix this mess for 2 years. They came back once a year later but only repaired part of this disaster they left. I have many many photos of the mess. If you need proof message me and I will send you the photos. Kyle was extremely professional throughout the quoting process and I chose him even though his pricing was higher for that reason. Unfortunately after he got my money, he was unresponsive. When I finally got a hold of him, he was downright unprofessional and combative. He bragged about what a great entrepreneur he is a number of times, oddly when I told him that he was great until he got my money. It is clear that he cares more about himself than he does his customers. I did finally get the work done and it turned out great, but it took me 2.5 months of constant texts to get him to respond. Once he got my final payment, he once again disappeared and I still have his trash from the job sitting in my yard. Do yourself a favor and choose another contractor. I was told the painter would be onsite for a start time of 8:30, an hour later I called Kyle asking if he was still coming and his response was "his painter was a bit late". I didn't realize an hour was a bit late; however I then received a call from the painter saying he was not going to be onsite until 10:45, that is over 2 hours late. I sent Kyle a message and got zero response. I was pleased with Colin( when he finally showed) and the effort he put in, but I will say I was extremely disappointed with Kyle's nonchalant attitude when you said he was a bit late. I had people coming to my house at 8:00 and Colin did not leave until after 7:30 putting me in a bad position with friends, let alone getting that room ready to entertain. The sad part is I had 2 other projects I was going to hire you for and I also had two friends that wanted work done and I cannot in good faith recommend you with worries you'll do this again and then I look bad with a referral. Overall extremely disappointed in the way you handled this. Buyers make sure you get a solid commitment on your scheduled time! You're correct your painter did a great job once he got there 2:16 hours late causing me to stress and giving me less than a half hour to get the room back in order for my company. As far as you responding via text to me is your way of trying to tell people you communicated with me; that's not the entire truth, when I first texted you, you never apologized and had an attitude of it's no big deal and he was a "bit" late; an hour is not a bit late. I then texted you several times only to ignored by you (I'd be happy to share the text strand here if you'd like). Then you responded again with zero apology saying your painter got a late start and that he is a nice guy and I'd like him; you as an owner should have taken ownership of your lack of communication with your painter and me the customer and chose to have a "whatever" attitude! I cannot say enough good things about this company and the project they completed for us! We had 3 rooms that we needed painted in a pretty quick turnaround time. We kept going back and forth as to whether we should cut cost and paint ourselves, HOWEVER, I have to say KM&M's service was worth EVERY PENNY. Kyle is just out for money and not making clients happy. He quoted a job to be done in 2-4 days and when that wasn't happening did nothing to help the situation. I was quoted to have my kitchen taped off, cabinets primed, sanded and sprayed by a crew. He sent a single guy to do a huge job with no sprayer and even he said it was impossible to get done that short of a time. I have a baby in the house and told Kyle that if this was going to take longer than 4 days I'd like to wait until the spring when I can get her out of the house. Just kept blowing smoke saying it'll get done. The guy started money and by Wednesday no one showed up. Thursday the same single guy came and did what he could but told me he wasn't coming back Friday. Kyle told me he would still magically get it done. No one showed up Friday. Saturday was our final grace period where he promised it would get done. 2 guys showed up at 11 with no paint. Had to leave to get paint and didn't start prepping until 12. They only got the cabinets primed by the end of the day. Needless to say, Kyle just cares about money and not client relations. We had multiple jobs we were going to hire him for but the lack of honesty from day just rubs me the wrong way. All he had to say was he couldn't do it and we would of waited. Quite honestly, as I look through the reviews on this site I am shocked at the disparity in work that Kyle has done. I question whether the 5 star reviews are real. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. When I first called the owner (Kyle) he responded INSTANTLY! Wanted to come see my house and give a bid. Once he received my deposit he ghosted me. It took multiple calls to get him to do my first job (floor in basement). No dumpster for the job showed up. Basement floor sat in my driveway for three days until dumpster was delivered. Dumpster then stayed in driveway for another week. Once basement was finished I was ghosted again. I originally wanted my cabinets repainted and changed my mind. I saw the writing on the wall and knew I didn't want to deal with this company painting my cabinets. I instead wanted two ceilings painted. It was virtually impossible to get Kyle to call me back. The few times he texted back he had a different sob story. Wife was sick. He was busy. Overbooked. Blah blah blah. At one point he even tried to "sell" me on an infusion bar he was opening. I can not believe he is opening an infusion bar when he can barely handle the company he has. He is a hustler and a corrupt one at that. He would NOT EVER answer his phone. He blocked my calls. I found his fb page and sent a message and again blocked. He FINALLY CALLED ME BACK after numerous attempts. When the job was finally done by his crew (very nice crew who did a good job) I never heard from him again. I DEFINITELY got ripped off. After the job was over I didn't have the gumption to ask the price. Do NOT FALL FOR HIS CHARM AT THE FIRST MEETING. He will give you the run around. hired KM&M and Kyle came over immediately to tell us they could paint all the rooms necessary and start the next day. Told us the painters would do the work in one day, which according to his painters when they arrived was impossible. The paint that had been on the dining room walls had lines in it that we showed Kyle on the day he came over, he said no problem and said his guys would take care of it. Needless to say 3 times later with a lot of attitude and him telling us we had to pay more (which we would not) and making remarks about my husband along with his painters talking about him and how he is never around after you sign the contract they left. We then continued to move in and found so many painting mistakes, in every room, it was unbelievable that professional painters could do this!!! When I texted Kyle he said why did you wait so long to tell me ( I sent pictures ) and I said we have been moving in and are seeing this shabby work everywhere. He said he would send a new set of painters out to fix it all and we refused based on what had transpired in the previous week. He said he would refund $200 or $300 on a job over 2000 and we said no. He could do what he wanted with the refund but that would not suffice. He did nothing, sent no refund, so I waited a week to see what he would do and nothing. This is not professional painting when there are spots everywhere. We hired someone to come in and fix all of it and they could not believe painters left the house in this condition. Typically I do not do reviews unless the service was either outstanding or inadequate. In this case it was the later, I had them paint my bathrooms and I am definitely not happy about the outcome. To be fair they are very friendly and they did a solid job painting my walls but the ceiling definitely was below average. They damaged my popcorn ceiling and tried to fix it but the results was less than desirable. They had to come out a couple of times because they missed painting parts of my ceiling, in addition they got paint speckles all over my lights, cabinets and floor, it took me hours to remove most of it. But the final straw was after a month, there are cracks all over my ceiling and some of the paint is peeling. I will now have to pay someone else to repaint my ceiling. I tried texting and asked if there was a warranty but after waiting a couple of days there was no response so I wanted to share my experience. read more

Contacted this company and got a response from the owner Kyle. quoted me to paint my kitchen cabinets VIA face time, stated that we wanted to move forward with the job. called and texted us none stop practically hunting us down to get a deposit on the job. was scheduled to start on a Monday and spent days trying to get someone over to instruct us on what needs to be done or to even pick a color, didn't happen till late the Sunday night before. was told it was a 4 day job, which seemed off to me due to the size of our kitchen but was told he had a team of painters to get it done. quoted us for sanding, priming and spraying, that Monday one guy showed. barley accomplished anything. second day no show. third day was calling him none stop never got a response. next day. no one showed either. finally got a call saying he was over booked (which inst our fault only his) said he can get it all done if we would give him that Saturday and that he would still be in his four day time frame which is obviously false because he clearly doesn't count days being consecutive. Saturday two painters showed up with no paint because Kyle forgot to get paint. they had to leave to get it. came back AROUND 11 and needless to say by 8-9 pm i threw them out because the job wasn't even close to being complete. told Kyle i had enough and wanted to cut ties and move on with another company. Asked Kyle for our deposit back, he said no. still have not received it back nor received any phone call. As far as i am concerned he is nothing but an inexperienced scammer, with no care in the world for customer service/satisfaction, collecting money is his only priority, and when the fires start he throws his hands up and runs. He is no business owner, no manager, no painter. Nothing but a suit, tie and a nice pair of shoes with his hands out ready to take your money. DO NOT HIRE KM&M ENTERPRISES. complete JOKE.
