Okay starting with my opinion of bad going to great I have been to other locations in the past and it was a minor free establishment that is no longer the case (for those who have children under 21 this is great news) so you must choose wisely when you go around 7pm on weekdays is cool because the parents are taking the kids home for bed, can't speak for weekends but the amazingly pleasant lady greeting you at the counter said the same for weekends. The aesthetics are awesome, great for a girls night out when you want to be cute and take photos to post on social media(right now they have a pop up cherry blossom set up in the chalet course go soon like this week) and also great for date night memories. The greatness was our server Justin. We see management in his future and we all were speaking into existence for him. He was gracious informative and accommodating. Very nice ambiance and the golf courses are so much fun. Staff is also very friendly. But the food is the worst I've ever had and even the bartender agreed. I really liked her honesty as she said the best item was the Caesar salad! She even told us to go elsewhere to eat and come back to golf! I love the Puttery. While I had a few complaints about the experience, I had a great time, and we'd come back again in a heartbeat. NOTES: -Call ahead if you're really set on a specific course or experience. During our visit, they closed off the entire first floor (and Lodge course) for a private event. However, as noted below, getting a human on the phone can be difficult. There's "Puttshack", a very similar concept, a block away if you really get blocked. -The electronic scorecard only allows you four players. (Unsure what another reviewer said about gigantic groups. It, literally, is only programmed to allow four players. It's very possible that parents were just letting kids playing alongside with zero "scorecard" as it'd be easy to do that.) -The Lodge course is on the first floor, and the Garage and Library are on the second floor. There's an elevator between the two, but I'd caution people with limited mobility that there are narrow walkways within most of the courses themselves. Restaurant/hallways are wide enough for wheelchairs if someone wanted to accompany though. -When we came, the Library was decorated for a Valentine's Day pop-up. You could play the Valentine's Day pop-up just the same as regular Unlimited, making their "upcharged, single Valentine's Course" event really expensive with no gain for you. I'd have been annoyed if I'd paid that for the promised "romance and lots of Instagram worthy spots", but it was a cute addition to the standard Unlimited Normal price we paid. -If you want to memorialize your scores, take a photo of the digital scorecard right after you put in the final score. Like, be READY as soon as you put in that number. It disappears into the ether as soon as that final score is put in. I'd love to see it wait for a confirmation/30 second delay to allow people to get pictures before the final scores disappear. PROS: -No idea why they make each Puttery so gorgeous, but they are. The interiors are very shiny and thought-out, and if you're not pressured mid-courses, it's really fun to look at the details they've put into the course decor. (From iconic photos of Pittsburgh to historical posters of golf or fun-looking books). Even the seating is comfy and pretty, and I'd come here just to sit and have drinks, a la cocktail bar, if I was in the area. -A good variety of drinks with mostly housemade ingredients. Sweet or spirit-forward, they have both (and beers and wines). They're $15-ish a pop per cocktail, but as it's hard to take a break mid-course, you'll probably only end up doing a few if you do all three courses. -I love the drink ledges at each hole. This makes things so much easier to play. Make it to your course's hole, put down your drink, take your shots, and pick up and get ready to move on. -Each course is REALLY well-themed. Our car-loving friend fell in love with the Garage, and I loved the calm and astronomical vibes of the Library. The Lodge was cute, too, and it felt really applicable for winter. -Really, it's just an amazing experience. I have complaints, but I haven't really found a competitor doing things much better than the Puttery does it. We love coming to Puttery locations. CONS: -I went to a Puttery in Minneapolis, and they had a great happy hour. Before I popped into Pennsylvania, I wanted to see if I could plan to hit up their own happy hour. I tried for (literal) days at different times of day, calling the number to see if I could get a person on the line. I'm not sure what was going on, but it took calling on four different days to eventually get a person to tell me they don't have a happy hour here. I'm really frustrated by companies continually crapping out on their ability to contact a business ahead of time. -Someone needs to rethink the drink ledges in the Garage section. The "ledges" are as tall as their highball cups, making it very, very hard to retrieve a cup from the ledge without touching straws and the drinking areas of the cups. Considering how dirty your hands get from constantly touching new surfaces in here, this was really gross. The drink ledges in the Lodge and Library did not have this issue. -Unlike my experience in Minneapolis, every course had an attendant near it. However, the attendants were playing on their phones while many of the ledges had abandoned/empty cups sitting on them. Zero complaints about playing on your phone, but make sure the area you're monitoring is clean first. -I had this same complaint at my last Puttery, but I LOVE the electronic scorekeeping. Every hole, you take your turns and you put your score into a tablet attached to the start of the course. It then, digitally, moves your scorecard onto the next course. It's SO convenient. It also means that you can't "swap" groups mid course. If there's a single kid zooming through on Unlimited plays, he'll be constantly stuck behind you, waiting on you to finish, as the scorecards don't allow you to "swap" with a group ahead or behind you. read more

Wanted to like this place but didn't get a chance to order anything because there was no service. Interior looked really cool, we went to the bar and asked if we could sit anywhere. We were told yes, asked if we needed to order at bar or could we order from the table, we were told someone would come take our order at the table. Sat down, waited, no one ever came, but there were 3 people at the bar either standing there or cleaning. My husband and I visited on Saturday at 1:30 for the unlimited golfing. The woman at the front desk was very kind and gave us a helpful overview of how everything worked. Before starting, we stopped at the upstairs bar for a drink. I tried to order a cocktail that required ginger syrup, only to learn they hadn't prepared any yet. I switched to an espresso martini, which was made with tequila and, unfortunately, it wasn't very good. We decided to play all three courses, but each one took an extremely long time. There were several groups of ten or more people, and since there are no limits on group size, they caused significant delays for everyone else. Staff was not monitoring the courses, so kids were climbing on the fixtures and restarting holes multiple times. On top of that, many of the screens weren't working, so we couldn't keep an accurate score. Overall, the experience felt pretty chaotic. It's a great concept and a fun space, but several improvements would need to be made before we'd consider returning. read more

I really loved this place, the design was super cute and the courses had really good photo-opportunities. I came with my coworkers for an after work party and it was perfect, they even had private rooms you could reserve if you have a group. There were 3 courses to choose from and each were unique and challenging in different ways. They had bars on each floors and an assortment of foods and beverages. Really made for an awesome time. It was pretty fancy I would recommend wearing a cute outfit to take pictures! Also dress on the cooler side it was super warm, that was the only thing. I wished they had a coat room because it was real toasty and kind of hard to carry your coat around, they had hooks and drink holders throughout the course but we kind of had to juggle our coats around a lot. This place is SUCH a vibe! Had so much fun here! Great way to spend an evening in the Strip District. Let's start with food: Food here is solid. Not mind blowing but still pretty solid. I had the chips and dip and the margarita pizza. Everything was good! Drinks: Drinks are good and there's a decent variety, but they're definitely pricey! (Plus you have the Allegheny liquor tax to contend with!) Service: So service here was ok. Not amazing, but just ok. Food took 30-45 minutes to make it to our table. What a great afternoon we had when it was bitter cold outside. The 4 of us played 4 games in 2 hours... In each room, The Library, The Garage and The Lodge the themes were tastefully decorated and the gems were will maintained. A Great Mini golf place with unique courses! There are three courses all with different themes: ski lodge, car, and library. We bought unlimited golf for $25 a person. They also have themed drinks for each course and mocktails. The employees and bartenders were so nice and friendly! Since it's October, there were Halloween decorations like spider webs, decorative caution tape, fake blood that truly upped the already amazing ambiance and decorations. What a great place to have a chill day out. We bought the unlimited golf passes so we played all three courses: the lodge, the garage and the library. We also got some drinks and food. We had the smash burger and the fried chicken sandwich. Both were delicious and their fries were great! When we walked in, the service was a little rocky to start. One person told us the restaurant section was currently closed and then another told us it was open. We sat at the bar where we got our drinks and when we asked to put a food order in she told us we can order from the bar or a table where a server would take our order. (At the time, it was literally just us and the bartender in the area). We moved to a table and after sitting for about 5 minutes, the bartender walked over and said it may take awhile for a server so even though the bar is closed she can take our order?? We just got drinks from her so we were confused, but she put in our order. We did see an amazing brunch that they have that we want to try out. It's one price for your golf, food and bottomless mimosas or bloody Mary's. Sounds like a great Sunday funday opportunity. In the golfing areas, Linda and Tyrone were awesome explaining things to us, making us laugh and Linda made sure we were having a good time in the Library. Apparently hot take, but thought puttery was super overrated. 3 stars feels generous. Starting with the good: decor is very fun, chaotic, and diverse. Cocktails were decent for the type of venue. And have two floors with three putting courses and two bars. Variety and access to amenities, great. The eh: golf courses are interesting, but with caveats. Multiple areas of courses aren't well thought out and balls are stuck or unplayable, making the experience less fun. Design of score cards being on a screen and following your group is a great idea, but there were at least 5 screens that were broken that makes the experience less enjoyable. The disappointing: they have a couple deals. $15 for a round of golf, $25 for unlimited, $40 for unlimited golf and dinner(appetizer, entree included) with a limited menu for this option. Service was crazy slow. Took at least 15 minutes to be given a server, and then after orders taken, half the apps came out 15ish minutes later, with the other half of the party waiting. Entrees then came out without those apps and we were informed that they were no longer available and given only one option as a replacement. Feels a bit unacceptable to have a deal that is paid for and not honored. In addition, at least one entree was also not available when we ordered, without a different accommodation offered. Poor service aside, I wasn't all that impressed with the food anyway. The only thing I can give a positive on the food experience was that there was a lot of it for the cost. In short, I still think 3 stars may be generous, but the decor and drinks are possibly worth the visit. With a comparable venue within walking distance, I think I would avoid Puttery for its competitor. read more

If I could give the puttery 0 stars I would. My friend and I made reservations. Upon timely arrival to the Puttery, we were immediately judged and questioned by the woman named Jaelyn working at the front desk. Remarks included, "Do you even have a reservation?" As she looked us up and down. Proceeded to offer dismissive comments regarding our reservation when she in fact, did not look up my friends' first and last name. She then asked for our ID's and angrily said, "You need someone who is 25 and older." We are both 24 years old and able to drink. I told her I have been to the Puttery before and was never told I needed someone 25 or older as I am 24 years old and will be 25 in 3 days. I went back in 2023 with my boyfriend and we were both 22 years old at the time. Never were we informed of this preposterous "policy" that she so conveniently could not locate. But what bothered me the most was her inappropriate comment, "you need an adult present with you." To which I said, "I am an adult." I could not be more disgusted with the customer service we received that day. We drove 30 minutes to meet each other there, were inconvenienced, treated disrespectfully from the moment we entered, and proceeded to go to the Puttshack instead. So if this business closes, don't be shocked. Everyone is going to the puttshack where you are treated with dignity and respect. read more

The ambiance and overall decor is amazing. It's a cool little vibe and experience. We went on Black Friday and it happened to be $10 per person for all 3 courses. The bar was very busy so we only got one cocktail each. The courses have great themes and lots of cocktail tables. Puttery is a perfect place for a Sunday funday! Each course is so unique, and I'm partial, but I liked the Library course the best! At no point was there a long wait on a course, drink service was quick, and it was an overall fun afternoon! We did not get food, but we were told it's a scratch kitchen, so we will try some grub next time we come back. The drinks were fantastic. I recommend BBQ on a Saturday Night. Smoky, sweet, and tasty! For some reason mine needed to be inspected for 3 minutes when I'm horrendously over 35. Then after that inspection we were asked what name the reservation was under. What? You just inspected my ID like one of those 90s art things that you have to stare at and they turn into something else, and after all that you don't pick up on the names? Ask that question first, then ID people. We had reservations, again. They let us choose a course - and then had to wait 15 minutes to play. WITH A RESERVATION (heard ya). We were checking by Crystal who informed us we can play 9 holes for $15 or unlimited for $25....so that was a no brainer!!! There are 3 different courses (the garage, the lodge and the library). None of them overly big maybe 10ft courses. We didn't do the garage as it was small n crowded so we did the library twice. Linda who was in the library was awesome. Explained how everything worked. Price is $18 per person per course. We did the Library, which took maybe 20 minutes to get through. There were some interesting ideas in the hole design -- like using books as bumpers -- but most of the holes were pretty much "shoot straight up this slope and start over completely when you miss." We decided to try the cocktails for the course. They were small but strong, and we hardly had time to get through them before the game was over. Overall we had fun. I made a reservation for two people for 2:30 PM on a Saturday. My husband and I waited for a few minutes at the check-in desk near the entrance, and an employee told us that we could go to the check-in desk upstairs, so we did. The employee there was very nice, and she explained to us that we may choose only one course, not all three courses, and that the first available course would be the lodge at 2:50 PM. The other two courses were the library and the garage, and they would not be available until later. My husband and I tried to find a place to wait, but the business was packed with other customers, so we just stood around! At 2:50 PM, my husband and I walked to the lodge. The employee there was very nice, and she checked us in. Every hole in the course was being used by other groups of customers, so we had to wait up to several minutes in between holes. A nice waitress (all employees were very nice!) asked us if we wanted to order any drinks. As my husband and I moved through the holes, we used a touchpad to type our scores. A larger screen showed the names of the leaders for the day. Our names were definitely not on that screen hehe! My husband and I finished playing our game at 3:25 PM, and then we went to the bar downstairs. Our waitress and our server assistant were both very nice and promptly served us. They brought us glasses of water. Menus could be accessed by scanning a barcode on the table. Appetizers included charcuterie, pork belly, veggie potstickers, wings, etcetera, and entrees included salads and pizzas. Prices for foods ranged from $8 to $23. My husband and I ordered the tuna stack, which we rate as 4.5 stars, and the beef sliders, which we rate as 5 stars. The food was very good! She took our coats and gave us the lay of the land. It was $15 for unlimited play, which we thought was a great deal. There are three courses, one downstairs and two upstairs. They were all themed differently, each with 9 holes. There are screens at the start of each hole where you input your score, much better than fumbling with the paper and small pencils . Throughout the course there are leaderboards that list the top players of the day and top hole in ones. There is a bar downstairs and upstairs. It was pretty quiet when we were there so only the downstairs bar was open. We had some beers, decent draft list and I had a vodka cucumber cocktail that was delicious. Oh and there's a tray area at the start of each hole to place your beverage on. They also have food but we didn't have anything as we had already eaten. My husband and I both golf and are pretty competitive with each other when it comes to mini golf. We thought that many of the holes were challenging at first but once you played a round or two, you could kind of figure out to play the hole best.
