Ambiance divine, Service impecable. Needed a wheel chair and was taken straight t my seat. When performance was over, wheel chair came to pick me up without having to call. Did not partake of food O

I love coming here, the seats are comfortable and the acoustics are good. It's also a beautiful space. I've been here 4+ times to hear different orchestras. They have a refreshment stand that sells coffee, alcohol, snacks. There are 3-4 parking garages nearby, as well as metered street parking.

The Knight Concert Hall, one of several halls at the Adrienne Arsht Center, is one of my favorite things in Miami. It's located in the heart of Downtown Miami and it's an absolute gem. Miamians should be proud to have it. I remember seeing these structures being built piece by piece over a decade ago with it's oddly shaped exterior structure. I couldn't figure out what they were building at the time. This concert hall seats 2,200 attendees and includes balcony seating on both sides. All seats are comfortable and the view of the stage is clear no matter where you sit. The interior decor is gorgeous with beautiful lighting in an intimate setting. Last month, we had the pleasure of attending an amazing concert by Max Richter at the Knight Concert Hall and somehow we got upgraded to much better seats upon arrival.. lower level instead of upper. Max Richter's music is simply incredible and used in many popular films that we all know. The emotive and sophisticated sounds of his music elevated him to become one of the most talented composers of our time. His concert was awesome and he received endless applause from the audience which prompted him to do an encore performance. Plan ahead for parking at the Knight Concert Hall. They offer valet service at the entrance which is super convenient, but not so when it's time to leave. Reason being is the long wait time to have your car retrieved. You'll have to join a long line with everyone else who also used valet. There are, however, parking lots that are more affordable right across the street starting at $10. Only park there if you're comfortable walking in that area. Pro Tip: This concert hall can be used for weddings, party receptions, and other events.

When The Adrienne Arsht Center was baptized as a Center for the Performing Arts, not many figured that four separate halls had been created, and hence the moniker Center for the Performing Arts. The full name of the concert hall being reviewed is The John S. and James L. Knight Concert Hall, paying homage to the founding brothers of the Knight Ridder media company. This concert hall is the third in line regarding siting area, and sits 2,200 people. It has an orchestra level and three additional tiers. No matter where you sit, you have a clear view of the stage, although the last row at the very top will give you a limited size of the performers. This concert hall has a small stage, and therefore is ideal for bands or groups that do not move around stage, have no stage lights and no pyrotechnic show. The reason why I am assessing a four stars to this concert hall is because I did not believe the sound to be state of the art. There is a very large and complicated sound unit, and very powerful, I won't deny that, but I heard some distortion and some delay, plus a couple of hiccups here and there. For a new concert hall, I found this unsatisfying. The general acoustics of the hall are good. Also, some of the restrooms are hidden and only available if you go through a set of stairs that lead to a cul-de-sac. In other words, you can make it in, but you can make it out. The seating is pretty comfortable, the seats are not wide, they are actually snug, but a normal person can sit pleasantly and enjoy the show. Under normal circumstances, you can watch the show fine unless someone with a hat is in front of you, and that is rare although annoying if it ever happened. Needless to say, the ushers keep everything organized. A cool aspect of the art complex is that drinks, wine and beer are offered at all the venues, and the Knight Concert Hall is not different. At the moment, drinks are served by Barton G. There are also concession stands located at different levels, as well as memorabilia booths. Parking is available at the general parking lot, and valet parking is available at the main entrance.

Entertaining, Charming, and Elegant, are the perfect words to describe my experience in here. Yesterday I visited the Knight Concert Hall to enjoy the wonderful performance of the great David Foster. This was the perfect place to host a concert like this one. This center is impeccable and so organized, the people working in here were so nice to me as they directed me to my seat. The security was on point, with people checking you and your bags at the entrance. Police cars and officers were all around, and I felt great about it. They had Valet Parking for $25 and public parking lots starting at $10. Restrooms were also clean. The chairs were comfortable and the sound system was PERFECT. Thank you for a fabulous experience.

Truly my favorite covert hall around. I have been coming to Knight Hall for years for Different events and was lucky enough to have tickets to the show just the other day. It was a special moment as it was the first time taking my daughter there. I had hyped it up pretty good. I told her compared to similar halls we had been to in West palm and Fort Lauderdale, this one blows them away. She was looking forward to the show not just from my assessment though, but because it was for a special show. We went to the harry Potter Prison of Azkaban. That is to say, they played the movie on a huge screen, and a live orchestra played in front along with the movie. I had been to such an event once before at the Knight Concert Hall. It was for Amadeus which was similar and very cool. We got down to the concert hall without much issue. We timed it well to avoid traffic and got a decent priced parking spot. when we got to average seats I got the same feeling I usually do at Knight; the seats seemed FAR better than just average. That's because almost every seat in the place is great. And the beautiful light woods that wrap the interior give it a luminescent quality. As the first song hit I was happy to see my daughter smile. She smiled for the song from the orchestra, for the movie, and for the moment. She agreed afterwards that it was not just a great show, but a great place to see it. I want to go again with her. And the good news is they plan to keep doing shows like this. I know one thing, we will be there.

Great place for a concert! I am a little late posting my review ... I was in here and saw Zubin Metha and the Isreal Philharmonic Symphony on their recent performance last month. I am at the Knight Concert Hall at least a couple of times a year and I am never disappointed. The acoustics are perfect for classical music. The design of the hall is modern and classic at the same time. The staff is always polite, courteous and helpful. Miami is very lucky to have a concert hall like the Knight and the Arscht Center.

When I went they had pizza and tacos. A main bar with cocktails, a wine bar, and beer bar. I opted for the vodka passion fruit cocktail. It was pretty tasty, just had too much ice. It comes in a cute re-usable plastic cup. Staff was nice and helpful throughout the venue. There is seating scattered throughout Understory for food or just to relax. Picture this - you walk into a tropical oasis and have the option of cocktails from Jaguar sun, wine selections from Bad Seed - a new wine bar pop up from Karina and the folks at Niu Wine -, rotating food from some of Miami's most loved chefs and last but not least - MUSIC! You'd think these folks just took your best friends magical back yard and created the most fun party in their house, but instead its at Understory and you can enjoy this oasis weekly on Thursday's and Fridays. I went for the first time last Thursday where I got to try a rum punch but with Mezcal that was delish. Then I moved on to a selection of delish wines and pizza by Flour and Weirdoughs. To say the vibe is impeccable is an understatement. I happily stayed until they closed at midnight, passing the time hanging out with friends and listening to the most fire playlist. They also have live jazz that starts at 9, which you can't really hear from the wine bar area since the space is so large, and DJs later in the evening as well as Friday. You can enjoy free entry before 8:30 pm. The best way to stay up to date on their weekly pop ups is to follow them on IG at @Understorymia. Can't wait to return!
