I don't usually write online reviews, but Brooke and the team at Knight Financial Home Loans made such an impression that I feel compelled to share the experience. Over the years, our family has relocated several times and purchased homes along the way. Getting all of the required information and answering all the questions from lenders and all the back and forth can feel like an IRS audit. Brooke and the team made it different, way different. It started with Brooke providing multiple scenarios to show us our options. We had some questions and asked for a couple other scenarios and this is when I realized we made the right choice working with Knight Financial. I had questions and got answers nearly immediately. Once we made our decision, Brooke's team jumped in and didn't just assist with everything, they handled everything. I think the real difference is that other mortgage brokers we have used in the past were in the business of just collecting all the needed information, from us, to complete the loan documents, hence all the back and forth. Brooke, Kim and the team actually provided a service to us. They went directly to the source any time they could to get information the bank was requiring. If they could do it for us, they did. It was just about a year ago when I was trying to finance (re-finance) my home into just my name due to a divorce. I was on a short deadline due to the divorce so time WAS NOT on my side. UPDATED: December 3, 2018 - So we just went through another purchase and, AGAIN, entrusted the Knight team to take care of us. This was a 3.5 week turnaround with a holiday in the middle and Brooke, Kevin and Marc hit it out of the park with everything. Their urgency matched ours, we got the best terms possible and a stressful move was made easy in large part to their care and attention. I will always, always look to Knight financial for any purchase or refinance. We've been so fortunate to use Brooke and his team at Knight Financial for 2 refinances and 1 sale/purchase. While each transaction presented a whole host of varying circumstances (no equity, trying for a lower interest rate and the chaos of selling/buying in a hot market), there was one thing that remained consistent. This team is truly committed in helping you every step of the way! From the time I submitted an application just to see if I could get prequalified and then 45 days later in closing on my first home, I saw that strength in communication and follow up was an important piece. Interest rates at that time weren't great, but as always the team at Knight Financial made the loan process smooth and was always right there to answer any questions I had. But here's the kicker - last month, now that interest rates are back down, Brooke reached out to me to let me know of the current rates and that refinancing might make sense for us. He ran the numbers and sure enough we were able to save a significant amount upfront as well as a good amount each month going forward. Awesome experience with Brooke and his team at Knight Financial! Five stars are not high enough!! Incredible personal attention, immediate access/communication whenever we had a question, and I have no doubt we got the best possible deal on our mortgage. They really went above and beyond. They helped us get VA condo approval for a building that had not been previously approved. This is not an easy process but we were able to get it done so we could get our best possible mortgage product. We also had a few problems with the seller, the seller's agent, and the title company -- Brooke was invaluable in finding solutions that enabled us to close on time. My wife and I had a great experience with Sam Mikolasy on our refi. We initially went in thinking about getting some money out of our rental property with a refi which we ultimately decided against so Sam got creative and came up with a way to pay off our rental by refinancing our primary residence with very little added debt and monthly payment. We didn't think our new house payment would be within reach doing this but with rates where they are, it worked out and we now own our rental free and clear and still have a ton of equity in our primary residence. Beware, I worked with Troy Babbit at Knight Financial, I ended up getting him everything he wanted till he had a preliminary approval. We ordered appraisal, and then nothing. I called weekly to see if I needed to get him anything else, and the answer was always I have everything I need should go through next week, this continued for well over 2 moths, then I just stopped getting any calls returned. I assume there must have been something wrong , but will never know what that was as the whole company must have lost my number. Internet beware, at least I can save some of you months of time and hopefully some appraisal money. read more
