The DJ (Ronnie) nearly ruined the wedding... He was rude to most everyone he spoke to, was apparently a last second backup, and was especially rude to the Bride. Icing on the cake was when he told her, " You have to keep everything together because people are looking at you all night and if you get upset about anything you will ruin the mood". He refused to let anyone request songs, stating we made a playset he had to follow, which was a lie. He was given a song list for key songs during the ceremony and our grand entrance though, but decided to deviate from that list for the song the Bride walked down the isle to. He didn't fade or blend the songs during the ceremony and chose to stop mid song and cut directly into the next one. The songs he did play made everyone walk away from the dance floor. We did we request country music during cocktail hour and during dinner, which he didn't play much of. He argued with the Made of Honor and other bridal party members and made me, the groom fill like we had to rush everything during the reception. So THANKS again RONNIE. More communication with the actual DJ, and not someone taking notes to relay the message would have been more helpful. We didn't speak with the actual DJ until 10 minutes before our walk in. We asked him to allow guests to make requests and he told our guests that he was unable to do requests due to a pre made playlist he was given. The playlist he had didn't include a lot of the songs we requested. If he was more flexible and willing to stray from the playlist he was given i would've been more satisfied. read more

The entire Knight Sounds Team is just phenomenal. Jennifer the office manager stayed in touch leading up to our wedding and helped to make sure that all the fine details of our reception would go off without a hitch and all of our music selections and formal program would be announced by Adam our emcee for the night. We had a two man crew for our wedding of 300 people and Adam was our emcee along with a DJ. Adam was the reason we had to have Knight's Sound as our wedding DJs. His personality is so upbeat and right from the moment we met him and the crew this last January at the Rio bridal expo we knew that we had our crew. There were moments where we actually had to have guests including myself and my bride outside the dance floor as we did the Cupid Shuffle because we had hundreds I repeat HUNDREDS of people dancing. This was a crowd that already had an early morning preparing for a black tie wedding, a full Catholic mass, and about 3 hours of reception formal program and the entire place was full of dancing people. It is a testament to the energy that Knight's Sounds and Adam and his assistant brought to the party on our very memorable wedding on 12-22-18 at Alexis Park. Knight Sounds was our DJ included in our package at Bear's Best for our wedding that took place a month ago. I knew music was going to be one of the most important parts of the wedding. I had handpicked all of our songs from the cocktail hour, to the time at dinner and dancing. I had a particular sequence because majority of the songs were Persian and I wanted the transition to sound natural. From the communication of my concerns to Jennifer, to Francisco's amazing DJ skills, the music was perfect! He knew how to transition, make appropriate announcements, play all of our songs on cue, and followed my list perfectly. Surprisingly, I had picked just enough songs for the entire evening. The whole crew was absolutely amazing!! We booked a DJ and two photographers for our wedding in October and both were exceptional in their respective fields. First, the up lighting was a great accent to the venue. We went with blue and it was placed in just the perfect spots. Because the club house had a lot of windows, the lighting just got better as the night went on. Second, the DJ was INCREDIBLE! I have never in my life seen my mom dance, but she was out there having the best time and danced for a good part of the night! The music selection was great, we provided a list of songs and he ran with those different genres playing some from our list and some that were related. I actually really liked this since it provided some variety. He did a wonderful job getting people up and dancing and participating in various activities and was so amiable towards everyone. We could tell he really enjoys the job! After the wedding, we got a lot of compliments from family and friends on how great the music was. He made everything super fun and upbeat; most of our guests stayed and danced the entire night :) Third, the photographers were perfect. Rafael & Susannah were phenomenal, you could tell that they loved their work and it showed! They were both really nice and polite. They were also determined to get the best shots possible, which meant taking a little longer outside to catch the perfect light - I am glad they did, the pictures were just beautiful. During the reception, I barely noticed they were there, everyone had such a great time. But even if I was too busy dancing, they caught every single moment. My husband and I enjoyed talking with the both of them - they are incredible at what they do. We bought the package that gave us the pictures on CD and we were wow'd at all the pictures we received! Knight Sounds Entertainment was a black stain on an otherwise perfect day. My wife and mother met Adam at a Bridal show in Las Vegas and immediately loved his charm and energy. Later that evening we booked Knight Sounds Entertainment to have Adam DJ our wedding. Since that time we were in regular contact with Adam as we picked what music we wanted and when. Things progressed smoothly and we finalized all of our music and timing with Adam a few days prior to the wedding. Then the big day came. Everything about the wedding was perfect, and had gone off without a hitch. Everything that is, except for the music and microphones. The music was playing at inconsistent volumes, certain microphones were having trouble with feedback, and songs were starting too early or late despite us filling out a thorough program beforehand. This was annoying, but in the grand scheme of things not too big a deal. The problem came after the ceremony right before our introduction before the wedding reception. The DJ came over to say hi and it turned out to be someone we had never seen or heard of before. Some random person named Matt. When we asked him where Adam was, the person we had been working with for the last year, he just shrugged and said he was told to DJ this reception, nothing more. Both my wife and my mother were crushed. The entire reason we chose Knight Sounds Entertainment was to work with Adam. The entire year of planning and dealing was with Adam. Then on the night of the wedding, we get Matt, with no explanation whatsoever. Just to throw a little salt on the wound, we didn't even find out until right before we were supposed to be walking into our reception in front of all of our guests. To put it nicely, his energy and abilities were subpar, but there wasn't really anything we could do. We were almost half way through the wedding and wouldn't be able to find a replacement that quickly. When we called to voice our disappoint the next day and figure out what happened, we were told that they thought Matt would be a better fit our wedding. Despite the fact that we specifically requested Adam when we signed up with their company and had been working with Adam since the beginning. They thought Matt would be a better fit for us and that was that. They couldn't even be bothered to let us know this ahead of time, instead letting us find out in the middle of the wedding, when it was too late to make any changes. They wouldn't even offer us an apology. It was honestly one of the worst ways I have ever been treated by a company, and to this day I still get angry when I think back on it. It is extremely sad that on one of the happiest days of a couple's life, a company decides to lie and abuse their customers simply because they can. Don't play Russian roulette with such an important day of your life. Pick a company you can trust and who cares about their customers. read more

I got married at Rainbow Gardens on June the 22nd and my DJ was terrible. Because I am an event planner, I am very particular about my events especially my own which was my wedding which was one of the biggest days in my life. Because I live in Baltimore and was getting married in Vegas, I asked to speak directly to the DJ about a month before my wedding because I wanted to feel comfortable with a DJ who was not from my own town and to have a comfort level about the music and my song choices. I never spoke directly to whatever DJ was assigned to me but instead spoke with his assistant Jennifer Spangler who will admit was wonderful. She even called me before I left town to make sure I was alright. I felt a little better knowing that she passed the information along to the DJ. The day of my wedding, 20 minutes before I walked down the aisle, the DJ comes in the bridal suit and said he had questions. With the sound of death in my voice I snapped at him and told him that I have been asking to speak directly to him for over a month but instead he passed me off to his assistant and 20 minutes before my wedding was not the time to ask me nothing. I felt like if there was a problem with any of my song choices, there was nothing he could do 20 minutes before my ceremony started because he had no time to fix anything. i dismissed him and a told him that my music better be right. The wedding was absolutely beautiful and I thought all of my music was correct until I got home and actually watched a few videos that my family sent to me. I realized that the song that my wedding party was supposed to come down the aisle on was the wrong song. I became furious because that was not the song I chose and the song I chose had a extremely special meaning to me since it was my grand dads favorite song and he is no longer here. I called Knight Sounds and spoke with the manager Jennifer and told her what happened and she basically treated me like get over it because your wedding is over. Knight Sounds Entertainment was the DJ who was included with our wedding package at the Secret Garden. They did an excellent job with our wedding music. For the ceremony, they were on point with all of our requested songs, including some obscure tracks from video game soundtracks. For the reception, we didn't have a long list of tracks for the DJ to play, but we gave them a few tracks (primarily Rat Pack and the Rolling Stones) and they created the perfect ambience for the night. Their photo booth was also included in our package, which was a BIG hit with our guests. Jennifer from Knight Sounds was especially patient with me in designing the right custom photo strip template for the photobooth. They additionally provided large custom letters of our initials and the lighting for our reception, both of which were fantastic. Chris was our DJ for the night and he was AWESOME! I was so worried our DJ would suck I requested my friend to provide a mix just in case. Luckily the mix was not needed. All of my friends love to dance and like to get down. He had everyone on the dance floor throughout the night. My friends even said it felt like we were in a club, they never heard such a good music from a DJ. Very nice DJ but not the one I requested. I was told to request Francisco and someone else showed up on my wedding day. He was a very nice gentleman but he made a lot of mistakes. Before my wedding even started I gave him a DVD that I made for my DVD montage. He was suppose to play it during cocktail hour and never did. He told me at the end of my wedding that there was a surprise outside for me and it turned out to be my photo montage in front of my limo which distracted my guess from watching us exit because they were too busy trying to watch the photo montage. read more

We were married at a venue which gave us a list of DJ services to choose from including Knight Sounds and DJ Steve. We chose Knight Sounds because we had heard bad things about the other DJ including bad attitude and refusal to honor guest song requests. I am so glad we went with Knight Sounds because they were very professional and easy to work with. When we had our initial meeting with them, they gave us a packet to fill out for our song requirements and went over the services they offered. Knight Sounds has several DJs who they try to match you up with depending on your song preferences and personality. I felt like they picked the right DJ for us! In addition to DJ/MC services, we ended up booking them to do uplighting for our reception as well because the price was so reasonable. On the day of the wedding, we found the DJ to be very professional and organized. He was very nice with a great attitude and was always smiling! He was great at communicating with my husband and I during the reception and was very easy to work with. Knight Sounds Production was chosen by our venue and planner, Keri at the JW Marriott Las Vegas. Our DJ rocked the dance floor, and kept everyone on their feet! Personally, I decided that I wanted to be the bride that danced all night long, and asked that if people wanted to come hang out with me and the groom, that we would be on the dance floor! It was so fun. He did include something at the end of the night that turned out to be so cool. He asked the guests to line the dance floor at the end of the night, and create a circle around my husband and me. Knight Sounds was the company my daughter chose for her wedding that was contracted through TPC Summerlin. When I was going through the reception program, Steve the DJ said that he was a last minute substitute and he was given an old set of schedule. We weren't even informed of this change! I had a special song number for my daughter and he didn't have the music! He wasn't prepared so up from that point he was always looking at me to give him instructions. I was suppose to be sharing moments with the married couple and the guests and I ended up coordinating the program. He didn't hype up the room and didn't do the playlist my daughter chose not any danceable music. The party died down 1-1/2 hour early because of that and we even paid for that extra hour. Our dj's name was Adam, he was extremely high energy and at first I thought it would be too much. I couldn't have been more wrong. He made it feel like a real party, and everybody was apart of it. I loved the fact that he did things like making playing hot potato with the napkins at each table and whoever got the napkin has to dance in the dance floor. He told everybody that we would be judging a competition but really it was just to get people to start dancing! He was very great at communicating with us and fitting our needs. We used Knight Sounds Entertainment for our wedding on March 10, 2018 and we were very happy with them. They were a preferred service from our wedding venue (Rainbow Gardens), so they would be using the built in sound system. I am glad we didn't go with anyone else. We met with the owner several weeks before our wedding date to discuss our vision. We wanted a mix of contemporary and older music. Also we did NOT want traditional wedding music. The owner said that they have a wide selection but anything specific we wanted we needed to provide MP3 (ITunes). In our wedding packet we had a song list page that we needed to fill out. We provided a song list and all of our songs on a flash drive. Fast forward to the day of our wedding. The DJ we had was super nice. He had all of our music set. The ceremony was nicely done and all of our music was played how we wanted. Our officiant was given a microphone, so everyone heard him. Now for the reception. The music was played at a comfortable level. Not too quiet, not too loud. All of the songs we specifically requested were played, but some of our longer songs were cut short to make time for all of the songs. The DJ lead us in all of our activities (First dance, Father/Daughter, Mother/Son, Shoe game, "Cha-Cha" slide, etc.) and maintained a high energy level all throughout the night. We specifically asked for "NO REQUESTS". The DJ offered to take them but when I told him we didn't want it he stuck to the playlist. The only note I will say is that if you want to have the songs played in a certain order make sure this is well known because some songs we wanted played last were played earlier than we expected, then played again. We hired Knight Sounds DJ for our wedding reception in April 2016. They were great. They asked good questions about how the event should unfold and the DJ was very personable and professional. The DJ honored all of our requests about the entertainment. We selected DJ based on videos on their website that gave us a good impression of what to expect, by service and price. if I were asked it would have been better if we could have met the DJ prior to the event (even if just by web conference) just so we had an idea of who would be running the entertainment beforehand. It was a bit of a slower start because Emerald has as specific way of doing things but once the party started, Darin was on it! He had energy and listened to my husband and I as we made some adjustments to the schedule of events while the night was going on. Horrible. Wedding was two days ago. If I could give them ZERO stars I would. The DJ did pretty much did everything he could to ruin my wedding. He did not run the events on time, messed up the order of the entire night, played rap music during dinner and then played the "family songs" at the end of the night when all the old people were gone. He played the songs I specifically requested for him NOT to play and did not play the songs I requested for the bouquet toss and garter toss. He also had 2-3 min of dead silence during the party because he was not ready for the next song. We all stood around and stared at him waiting for him to play the next songs (he had CDs and was flipping through his CD books for songs like it was 1992). He talked way too much, got in the guests faces and delayed events such as my garter toss and cake cutting. And he also played the same song twice and I had to go over and tell him he was duplicating songs. He was probably the worst DJ I have ever seen in my life. The groomsmen finally came over and saved the day and used their phones to play music so we could dance. I could not even recommend this company for a 12 year old girls middle school dance. My very expensive wedding was ruined by this DJ. I was ready to LEAVE MY OWN WEDDING PARTY AT 11:20 BECAUSE IT WAS SO BAD. FYI, he also forgot to do my send off.
