Shai was, without a doubt, one of the best parts of our wedding. He worked with me on editing my processional song to ensure my bridesmaids had enough time to get down the aisle and shortening the father/daughter and mother/son dance songs. We had a mishap with the food and because of that, he only had about 45 minutes to play dance music and he did SUCH A GOOD JOB at making sure he got as many songs to play as he could. Amazing experience!! I live in California and planning a wedding out of state can be very stressful. Shai was really responsive via email and offered the best package. If your looking for a longer version here it is: Let me first start off with the quotes from the guest at our wedding: "I am afraid to leave the dance floor because i don't want to miss a song" "This is the best DJ I've ever seen, it's like he is in my head" "I've never danced so much in my life" "I've been to over 40 plus weddings, with bands and DJs this guy is on another level, he is hands down the best entertainment at a weddings I've witnessed" Now let's break down the brilliance that was displayed. The most important part of the wedding is obviously the "I do" but after that...it is clearly the music the entertainment!!! So my advice don be cheap in this arena!!! DJ Shai, is a jack of all trades and can give you whatever you are asking for If you aren't a music couple and you just want him to go and do his thing, Done If you want him to just stay in the 90s era, Done if you want him to do a little 90s, a little 70s, but have 6 random must plays, played at the right moment Done . Anything that you want, he can do. Im a music freak, so my expectations were very very high, Shai understood how important the music was to me so he matched my energy, but how did he do that? He held a instagram live jam session for us, others. I challenged him to mix several different genres to test his skill set like SOB by Nathaniel Rateliff transitioning to Prince to Lil Wayne (he did it and it was fire btw lol) We had 3-4 different face to face jam sessions, so he could get a feel to what rypw of crowd would be there. He emails, text, calls, which ever you prefer, as much or as least as you want. He always responds quickly. This is what I leaned by "matched energy" what ever you need DJ to be for your wedding he will not only be that, he will far exceed expectations. We had a very classy, black tie wedding, stunning venue, this is the type of wedding you would expect a band to be at and not a DJ...but DJ Shai is different, he can give you that traditional band feel, but has the ability to play that one song you haven't heard in 15 years that a band simply couldnt pull off. I myself have been in so many weddings, and been to so many weddings, and the big questions always comes up is band or DJ...and most of the time if it's classy and alot of older people will be there band is the way to go...........unless it's DJ Shai. DJ Shai is amazing! He came highly recommended from our wedding planner, so as soon as we set the date she was reaching out to confirm Shai. The first time we met with him he was so nice and professional and from that point on I wasn't worried cause I knew he'd be great. We explained to him the kind of music and vibe we were going for and he got it right away. The day of the wedding everything with the ceremony, dinner music, and speeches went perfect. Then the party began and it didn't stop until they kicked us out at midnight. Everyone got up on the dance floor, including my 83 year old grandpa. Shai kept a fun atmosphere with the music all night and if a song wasn't working he changed it right away with great transitions. Multiple people throughout the night and the next day came up to tell us how fun the DJ was and what a great job he did. Other than "your wedding was so much fun," I think the most common comment we've received was "your DJ was awesome!". DJ Shai is as cool and easy going as they come. He is incredibly polite, responsive and easy to communicate with. And his prices are very fair compared to the Vegas market. We live in Oakland, but got married in Vegas at the Neon Museum. When we went a few months early to scope things out and make sure everything was in order, DJ Shai surprised us and met us at the Museum to go over everything. Again, very easy to work with and coordinate. He sends a sheet with music preferences before the wedding and discusses a few things with you to make sure everything is organized. Here's a tip: trust him! He knows what it takes to get people on the dance floor. You do not. Sure, you have your 3 or 4 "must have played" songs, but let him take care of the rest. He was great about finding the right mix for our crowd. I also noticed he was observant. For instance, if the bride did something fun or crazy on the dance floor, he'd get on the mic and say "lets hear it for the bride, everyone!". Little touches like that are noticeable and make the night more fun. We've already told ourselves next time we are in Vegas we are going to find where Shai is performing and will go visit that bar/club. read more

We threw some tricky requests at him: obscure music choices, a party game involving the ability for guests to make song requests, and moving indoors and outdoors on a windy day. Not only did Shai do everything we asked, wonderfully - keeping the sound levels great, timing the music for our ceremony and reception perfectly, and keeping the vibe just where we wanted it - he went ABOVE AND BEYOND! He researched our obscure music choices and found cocktail reception instrumentals to compliment them - it was like he'd been reading our minds! He managed microphone issues during the ceremony so discreetly you'd never know he helped us unless we told you. Our guests were complimenting him all night long! I use this company for all my DJ needs. When I am planning anything from a grand opening to a holiday party this is my go-to DJ! I use DJ Matt and he's the best (although I will admit, I haven't used anyone else so I'm sure they're all wonderful. Scheduling is a snap, cost is very competitive and we are all set.
