I got married at Fabrizio Banquet Hall in downtown Las Vegas and they recommended Mike, from the moment we first met up with him we loved his vibe, we were also pleasantly surprised to learn he spoke perfect Spanish! That was wonderful because I had a lot of family coming from Mexico. He has a great guide to picking music for every part of the wedding and while you can put in must plays or don't plays, he does such a wonderful job of catching on to what you like early on and just feeling the crowd. So many of my guests talked about how much they enjoyed the music. It was also great to learn DJ Mike offers add ons to his services such as the sparklers for the grand entrance and first dance, which I did, as well as "dancing in the clouds" (fog for first dance) and "la hora loca" in which characters come and join the dance floor. Had a consultation with them - went very well. When it came to sign on the dotted line, whey wanted to change the price. The DJ who I met and they sold me on they wanted more money for. If you want more time beyond the contract, it's more money. That's reasonable, but not $200/1hr more! Other DJ's charge $50-$100/1hr more. And I read the contract. IF anything happens to their equipment, no matter who's fault it is, we are the one who are liable!!! That is ridiculous! Who signs this????? When I discussed my concerns with their office manager, they basically called me cheap and list off their list of clients with me. I don't care who your list of clients are. If you built your company from the ground up, you built it with small contracts with each small clients, one by one, like myself. Don't forget where you come from! They need a better business model and need to stop robbing people. I can't believe people sign that contract. read more

They were incredible! Funny story was that I had met Mike Susara prior to my wedding at a networking event, and he is also friends with one of my best friends. But I did not know him at that personal level. So years after, when I started planning my wedding, Las Vegas Bride had recommended him. I know alot of DJs who are friends, and was a bit hesitant to hire a DJ that I did not know personally, nor had I heard Mike DJ/ MC before. But I am so glad I hired High Flyin as the DJ/ Entertainment for my reception I think alot of people forget that when you hire a DJ for a wedding reception, that they should also know how to MC and keep the crowd going and entertained. And because I am Filipino, sometimes the elders can get insulted or annoyed by the music and festivities. But Mike was just so in tuned with my guests and crowd that he was able to please both my older relatives and guests, as well the the "young crowd." Also, both my husband and I have a wide range of music that we like. High Flyin has a very "in-depth" questionnaire for the music selections for the event. I was a bit stressed about it, since some items i was not sure as to what music/ song should play. SO I left it to the discretion of Mike... and he def made awesome choices! No thanks on this place. I won a free Dj for my wedding April 17. I've been trying to book them. I've tried texting and called them several times. Even had my future mother in law reach out to them. Finally my mother reached them. They told my mother via Facebook that the comp had expired and I had to use it in six months from receiving it. Now, I told them to their face when my wedding was and all they told me to do was call them. This company knew that my wedding was over a year out. Now they won't honor what I won! Cannot say more about our DJ/MC/Officiant, Michael Susara. This gentleman stepped out of his comfort zone to fulfill another role at our recent We Do Redo wedding/reception. Like many couples within these pandemic years, we were forced to postpone/reschedule our originally planned wedding & reception. Without fail Michael rebooked our event with no additional fees (apparently pandemic fees exist...we learned that quick) and made us feel comfortable that his job would be completed as promised (another missing piece of this pandemic era-positive reassurance!). Fast forward two years later our wedding has turned into a vow renewal/reception and to help facilitate the vow renewal ceremony (which was never originally planned) Michael stepped in as our pseudo-officiant. Our vow renewal went without a hitch. With a small script Michael was able to make our vow renewal into truly our second wedding. From there he took off his officiant hat and put on his dj/emcee hat. This is where I knew we were covered. Our guests had a great time. He played games with ALL the guests (it was hard to see people not actively participating) and had number of different dance -a-longs (where he is out there on the dance floor leading the dances). After a lifetime of attending weddings this is the best option if you really want people to get out there and dance (a lot of alcohol also). Someone who really helps people enjoy the dancing, gets out there and shows those on the fence that the moves are learnable. Michael does that. He knows how to read and work the crowd. All of our guests ranging from all ages were able to enjoy the dance floor. Made for a magical night. We had picked special music for then pre-wedding, processional and recessional, and the processional in particular got a little complicated, requiring queued starts and stops to accompany the various players. DJ Astro did a great job in spite of there being no rehearsal! We also had some Vegas style performers entertain our guests prior to dinner, and he did a great job of coordinating with them as well. I just got finished with a wedding I helped coordinate this past weekend and High Flyin was the DJ..I had attended bridal expos and party copnventions in town and was always impressed with the set-up and professionalism of high flyin..so when brides came to me or clients for events..I always recommended them but never was blessed to experience them in action myself till this weekend The wedding party this weekend were music lovers and loved to dance but wanted all the formalities that come with a wedding. The dj Mike Susara was amazing at keeping the flow of the event going. Music was at a good volume and tempo during dinner..light mood nothing crazy..and he stayed in contact with myself and my other coordinater in regards to the time-line for the day..because i have never worked an event that followed the time-line to exactly every point..so he was great at going with the flow improving when need be and not letting the guest know the stress the behind the scenes were undetaking. The showed up on time with all equipment needed set-up in a timely manner and we very pleasant and excited for the event to get on their way I was most impressed with the way the dj was able to read the crowd and the birde and groom and really tap into there personalites and keep the theme of the party going strong and still mindful of the elders in the room...it was an amazing day and I am so happy i finally had a chance to work with this great group of entertainers..i know for sure we will be seeing them again because there is no way any event could be a success with out high flyin!! read more

Prior to the wedding, we met up with Mike about twice to go over the music and he really becomes your friend. He is professional and a genuine person. We paid more to have DJ Mike as our MC and it was worth it. During the reception, Mike had our guests participate in games and the best part was when they got on the dance floor and did the twist. The pictures were hilarious. He even got my husband's parents to dance! The only reason I am not giving them a perfect 5 is because of a mistake with the ceremony music.
