Very thorough examination and Patrick took the extra time to really explain contact options. Great eyewear selection as well!

I had to go back in for a slight adjustment. As always, most thorough, helpful, friendly doctor and eyewear staff. Love this place.

Everyone here is wonderful. I loved that they said a prayer with him before the surgery. He has had wonderful results! I have diabetic retinopathy, and Dr Hansen began to 'abrasively' ask me if I was aware of all the symptoms of my disease. Before I could answer the question, he continued on, reading from notes my retinal specialist had sent in, highlighting one horrendous diabetic symptom after the next. When I told him those notes were from 21/2 yrs ago, and my current condition had improved since then, he argued with me stating that the notes were from July this year (2023). It was as though he was 'illness-shaming' me in front of his assistant. His tone & manner was without empathy & utterly unprofessional. In the midst of this awful exchange, I thanked him & took my leave. His last words to me on the way out: "Nice workin' with ya!" I certainly wouldn't recommend anybody support a medical practitioner who treats his patients this way.

I wanted to make sure the surgeon I visited had a breath of experience and training. After the experience I can truly saw I was impressed from my initial consult all the way through surgery and after. Dr Patel does fantastic work he is great at communicating, has a wonderful bedside manner and an amazing team of support staff. I wake up daily amazed that I can now read the clock across the room without glasses or contacts! I was so impressed with the operation aspect of the business, the entire staff is friendly, communicative, professional and values your time, investment and confidentiality.

But go ahead, ask your question." As if I was offending him by having concerns. As if by asking questions I was somehow challenging his expertise, rather than acknowledging it. As if this wasn't exactly the right time and place to ask questions. A bit shocked by his dismissive comment, i initially thought I should simply leave and find a different doctor. Then I thought about the weeks I had to wait just to get this appointment, and starting that process all over again, and I swallowed my pride and simply responded, "No, never-mind." But I also knew then that I would eventually write a review in which I told prospective patients this story, in case anyone preferred not to be disregarded in this way. To be fair, I am pleased with the results of my surgery. I had researched Dr Patel and never doubted his skills. But I was offended by his manner at that initial consult and believe that patients deserve to be treated better.

The reason that I gave four stars was because I had heard so much about Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE). Over and I heard about not needing readers. So, the first night, I couldn't read my phone, but that's to be expected. But I'm a week in now, and I can't read very well up close, and I still have halos, and blurry vision. I can see very well far away, but I'm getting concerned about the flashes of light I'm seeing in my left eye. The radio personalities who tell you that you'll never need readers, Bob Stelton, Softy Mahler, and Ian Furness, should really be held accountable Everybody tells you it's affordable, but I consider over $15,000 to be quite a lot of money. I had hoped for great results, but I will be in readers the rest of my life. I'm not thrilled about that. Just be aware that great vision is not guaranteed. Also, I should mention that while I agree the procedure is mostly painless, it was pretty uncomfortable for me. There are constant drops, and you see strange patterns and colors, and you're supposed to keep the eye being worked on open, but after a while you can't tell if it's open or closed, and there's pressure around the eye. I didn't want to be too negative, but I'm just saying the things that I wish somebody had told me.
