Food from Mantles and Morrisey's are pretty good. Rooms are clean and spacious, and there's AC which is needed during the summer heat. It does get cooler at night. Our room (436) came with coffee machine (Nespresso Capsules), electric kettle, small fridge, and safe. There's a parking fee per night and it's underground parking. Parking stalls are small so some vehicles take up more than a spot. The drive to the soccer fields are long but we enjoyed the scenic drive (about 50mins each way). Don't rush the drive up or down, enjoy the scenery and tranquility. Be careful as there are wildlife on the drive up/down from Sun Peaks. We saw deer a couple of times on the side of the road and a juvenile black bear (we almost hit one) darted out of the bushes on to the road at one point. Overall, we had a great experience and glad we chose to stay here.

Fresh cooked daily- eggs, a protein, and pastry. (Muffin or croissants while we were there). Also had the usual cereals and toast/ bagels and various flavored juices. Attempted to reserve additional nights but unfortunately someone beat us to the punch. Would definitely recommend this place.

Being our first time in Sun Peak during off season we weren't sure where to start. We got ton of recommendations provided and great information to make our trip what we wanted. The breakfast was better than many restaurants or home cooked meals I have ever had. I think the only thing I wish was for the opportunity to eat more of their delicious food. We knew on the first day it was the best vacation ever and our minds never changed. We already are talking about returning and I can't even wait. It's great for the whole family!

The staff treats us like family. Premium room is worth it if you do serious cooking. Agreed: groomers are noisy and run all night. (We ask for a relatively quieter room and a village view and we use white noise). Yes, it was built in 1996, but we like the feel of it being older. We're 70+ skiers. We like that one can go right out the ski room door and ski downhill 100'ish to the Sundance lift at 8:30. A short walk across the road under the covered bridge to Morrisey can be great for first tracks when there's new snow. Access is so easy we take a mid day break in the room. You can ski all downhill to the door from the Rambler or Sunrise. (see the map). The highlight for us is the guided tours by the Sun Peaks Hosts. They'll guide you to the best areas, away from the fog, wind, ice, hardpack etc. We love the Sundance and have returned year after year since 2013. Seattle and Bellingham Washington.

We stopped by in October and stayed for only one night. It was off season at the ski resort so we got a room at a great value and it was very quiet. It's a beautiful location and I can imagine how busy it must get during the snow season because it was dead when we were there. Most of the village shops and some of the restaurants were open when we were there. We were able to get dinner at a pizza spot and breakfast, but the village was nearly deserted. The rooms are outdated and old. I did enjoy that the room was huge and big enough for a big family. There was a small kitchenette, a dining table, fireplace, and a TV. The bed was comfortable, very clean and there were no bedbugs. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and engaging she even gave us advice on where to park at.

There's a cafe attached to the hotel with very good home-cooked meals. Much of what they serve is house-made (fresh home-made bread for your morning's toast). Food can be a bit slow to come out of the kitchen when they're busy, but it's worth the wait, and it's not crazy-long, just a bit long.

So cool (sorry this is first for me - many may already know the thrill of that). This is a roomy two-bedroom condo with two bathrooms/pull out couch - heated floors at entrance and in the loos; a stocked kitchen (if you like to cook and have access to spices, utensils, sparkling pots the kitchen is nice); a BBQ on the patio which is also where the jetted hot tub is (and I never had to worry about the tub as it seemed that the maintenance people came by regularly over the 3 days and checked on it - nice). Enough TV screens (my guy loves his hockey) and good wireless connections (essential for me). A gas fireplace, comfy furniture, uncluttered but totally comfortable - even small touches like robes in the bedroom. And plenty of hooks. Parking underground. And the 15 minute scroll to the cute Sun Peaks village was through tree-lined pathways with that clean squeaky snow under your feet.

The management is very good and they are actually very nice and accommodating. There is a train track behind the motel but you don't get the ground movement and noise that you would think you would get. It doesn't wake you up at night. This year we will book there again.
