We were on third floor and I kept waking up to a smell that was like smoke but I'm not really sure where it was coming from, like someone was smoking meats, it was weird and very strong and was nauseating. I finally turned off the AC, thinking it was coming in that way but it was too late. The thermostat at least stopped making the clicky sound that was waking me up so I left it off and dealt with heat and smell. We had planned on sleeping in but with that smell I wanted out of there ASAP. In the hall on third floor it was even worse than in the room. But downstairs i didn't smell it at all. In the hotel's defense, I didn't say anything so it's not like I let them know and they didn't offer to move us, I was just too tired. And the breakfast, while fine, had an attendant that went to the back to get lotion apparently and proceeded to put it on (under his shirt) right next to food. It was odd but didn't really bother me, made me think of something my grandpa might do, but I know it would have offended some... so overall, it's a nice place and I think the staff was extra pleasant to everyone I saw them encounter, but that smoke smell..... wow. That would deter me from staying again for sure. No idea if it's the fault of the hotel or something they can control but that was rough.

The hotel is situated just off of an access road as soon as you exit the highway, which is super convenient! There are also quite a few restaurants within a few minutes. The hotel was busy but we still found parking for both of our vehicles. The check in process was a breeze. Our room was modern and clean. The beds and pillows were perfect for a good nights rest after a long drive. They have a free continental breakfast which we enjoyed before getting on the road the next morning.

We were not aware that there were not towels at the pool, so we looked a little silly. Not yay we minded the silly part, but we did mind freezing our unmentionables off. WiFi is great and walking distance to Target and good eats. Would definitely stay here again!

Entering into the lobby, I got a true appreciation for the restoration that was recently done bringing the hotel back to its 1920's luster. Beautiful woods and tiles, artifacts from the original grandeur, and of course, Crazy Water! I enjoyed my stroll through the lobby and in The Crazy Water Pavillion, also on the lobby level of the hotel. Today there was a market going on and the Pavillion was filled with an energy that seemed to blend with the energy of the building itself!

We were not informed of this when I booked the stay. The room smelled like a musty damp basement. I have health issues and I'm on oxygen and with the condition of the hotel we decided that we couldn't stay there. The clerk was just a go between for the manager who was at first unwilling to refund our stay. After a lengthy discussion the manager finally agreed to refund the charge. Save your time and money and find a better place to stay. After a long day of travel, you deserve that.

Stayed here in mid 2023. Worst experience staying in a hotel I've ever had. It stood out enough…read morethat I still think about it years later. The manager, an unpleasant older woman with black hair and glasses, charged me for my service animal after I told her she was a service dog. She refused to fix it, I had to file a complaint with the DOJ and contact corporate to have it fixed. I'm clearly disabled too... I have a big scar up my head, and informed her that I was disabled. She was mad at me, and did it out of spite. I booked several nights, with the intent of working from the hotel. The Wi-Fi did not function though. The signal was so weak you couldn't stay connected. They told me if I wanted to use it. I'd need to sit in the hallway to get a better signal. (that also didn't work.) I got a better signal from the hotel across the street than from this hotel. I had to immediately book a hotel elsewhere so I could work in the morning, and when I demanded a refund, she told me no, and that it wasn't their fault. It was that the Internet service provider was down. I had to explain to her that the wifi signal strength isn't tied to the internet being up or down. The two things are not dependent on each other in that way. You can have no internet service and a strong wifi signal, and you can have a strong Internet service with poor or no Wi-Fi signal strength. They are two separate things. You can literally have Internet service without Wi-Fi at all. It's called ethernet. She had no response to that, so instead, she kicked me out of the hotel and banned me for life. I left immediately, as I should, and a few minutes after leaving, she charged my credit card a fee for my service Animal. This was done out of spite. My card had already been charged for my wife's pets. So everything was already done. She went out of her way to go back into my record and add an additional fee, charging it to my card without my permission. Not only did she unlawfully, knowingly charge me for my service Animal, she did so by fraudulently using my credit card details without my permission. No, I don't wanna just complain without offering some kind of constructive feedback. So what I would suggest is you sit this person down and teach her how wifi works, teach her the legalities around the ADA and credit card fraud, and then put her on probation.

I chuckled at the Discman alarm clock that wasn't plugged in. We were initially given a 4th floor room right next to an ice machine that sounded like a jet engine after it sucked in a seagull. It was so loud we had to shout at each other in the room to be heard. Reception mentioned - it doesn't make that sound "all the time" when they moved us to the 2nd floor. Window coverings are broke and cannot be raised. I did use a clothes hanger to let some light in but I promise you our room hadn't seen fresh sunlight in two years. I didn't even look at the breakfast offerings. I've stayed in nicer Motel 6.

Management response was just to give a small discount per night. I commonly stay at Best Western and this is disgusting and will never stay here and I'm doubting if I ever use Best Western ever again.
