The public can try your hand at Trap, Skeet, or the ever challenging Sporting Clays and members have the added options of indoor or outdoor pistol ranges, as well as a outdoor rifle range featuring several 200 yard targets. The restaurant inside has a nice selection of traditional American cuisine as well as a diverse selection wide beers and liquors to wash everything down with. When I first began shooting here, I had never even held a shotgun previously. Now 5 years later I'm a proficient marksmen who has benefited greatly from the knowledge and skill of the members so much so that I became a member myself. Everyone here is welcoming and eager to give pointers or tips where needed. I would recommend TSC to anyone in the Western New York area looking to try their hand at shooting sports, or those looking to hone their existing skills.

Hamlin Park is a staple site of East Aurora. There is a volleyball court, a hardball baseball…read morediamond, a half-mile track, tennis and pickleball courts, a multi-purpose field and more in the vicinity and lots of kids having fun, running around. I learned the park is 16 acres large and has been around since 1899! The old trees are a sight to see, and the area feels like you're right in nature. The playground is vast and somewhat outdated, but the kids don't seem to mind. Many events take place here, too, including performances by the Aurora Players Theater and the Rotary Bandstand. Cars aren't allowed, and parking is limited; you might have to find parking on one of the side streets. I noticed there are restrooms too, and a couple of picnic shelters. Leave your beer, your dog and your snowmobile at home; they're not allowed, along with some other items you might want to look up before venturing out. It's a great public park and worth a stopover to relax and enjoy nature on one of the benches or bring a picnic and enjoy your time at one of the picnic tables. Truly, something for everyone.

The park had vendors, people were picnicking, kids were playing, there was a band and baseball field. Hamlin Park was out of a Hallmark Movie. Hallmark should not only continue to use Viddler's as a location for movies, but should also include this park for a summer movie location. Bidwell Park is a park that's part of the Olmsted Park system in Buffalo. Following it down leads…read moreyou to a few statues and eventually it flows into Delaware Park. It's basically a kept lawn and open space to gather. In the summertime, you'll see people laying out here in blankets, musicians, acroyoga practitioners and a farmer's market that takes place every Saturday. In the winter -- it's pretty dead, aside from all the free residential parking that you can find. During the summertime, the Elmwood Village Association puts together a weekly event on Tuesdays as a community gathering with live music and food. I definitely enjoy Bidwell Park in the warmer weather months. It's a great place to people watch or to get a blanket and curl up in the city, or to walk through it to get to the next park...Delaware Park -- and just keep going until you go through all of the Olmsted Park System!

Downtown bowling with a luxury feel!…read more My department at work hosted a retreat for us at 500 Pearl, and rented out the Spare Room for us to have some fun after. I've always wanted to check it out, so it was a real treat! The alley itself is on the smaller side, but it's decorated very nicely and has an arcade attached. There's a bar too which is always a plus! We ate dinner there - pizza and various appetizers. The chicken finger pizza was incredible, and I snagged a chicken wing egg roll as well, which was just as decadent. It's not cheap to bowl here. There's definitely more affordable options, so I don't think I'd necessarily list the Spare Room as a top choice if I were to have a bowling get-together in the future. But it was really neat, and if you do get the chance to experience it, you should take it. All in all, The Spare Room is a nice addition to 500 Pearl and Downtown Buffalo as a whole. I don't bowl often, but when I do, I love for it to be a unique, yummy experience. Let's not talk about what I bowled though.
