I found Knots & Found on Yelp and decided to come here after becoming slightly obsessed with indoor plants recently. I'm a complete newbie, so Lisa's guidance and instruction was so helpful (not to mention, she's just the SWEETEST!!~) It's a cozy little shop with adorable planters. I love small plants and there were small plants aplenty. I wish I had more time to browse and talk! It's been over a year now since finding out about this cute shop with Liza's knowledge and guidance every single plant I've purchased from her is STILL ALIVE before I stepped into this business I had a self proclaimed black thumb. This little gem is located in down Martinez and is a must go to if you are here and are a plant lover or just like plants. They have so many varieties of plants that you can choose from and so many different sizes! They also sell pots and other nice little find on top of just selling plants. And the owner is so extremely nice and so helpful with any questions you may have! I've bought so many plants from this place and I'm not the best for caring for plants (the ones I've bought at home depot and Ace have died) but for some reason the plants I've bought here are all still alive! Maybe it's the useful information that the owner gives out and how to care for the plants you choose. Also, I wish I can give this place 10 stars because there's a couple of times where I'm looking at plants and she will ask me, "do you have dogs? Because if you do then those plants you are looking at are extremely toxic". That just shows they go above and beyond for their customers!! read more

I had planned a birthday brunch out in Martinez with my sister and have recently become a new plant mom. So, I decided to research what plant stores Martinez had to purchase a new plant baby . I had researched prayer plants as my next option and found Knots and Found on IG and found out that she had some available. I messaged Wendy and asked what options were available for pick up and if she could send me pictures and right away she sent me pictures and shared pricing. I asked if I could reserve a specific one and went today to pick it up. Wendy was the absolute sweetest being so helpful and giving pointers for my new plant baby. This is hands down my favorite plant shop in the Bay Area! In fact, I drive all the way from Oakland on a regular basis just to pick up some more plant babies for my home. I've never seen such a wide variety of options so beautifully presented. The store is such a joy to be in and roam around. Plus, they have an awesome collection of planters to choose from in lots of different styles. All the prices are super reasonable and the staff couldn't be nicer or more knowledgeable. What I truly appreciated was the young lady that helped me. Instead of watching me pay for plants that I was not ready to take care of, she listened to my plant experience and directed me to plants with an easier care level, but still cute !!! My favorite plant store!!! I always find different plants here for a friend or myself. The prices are good and the quality is better. They are very knowledgeable and can answer all your questions to help pick out the best plant for you. Also the pots they sell are gorgeous. I find I always get in trouble, because I always fall in love with a new plant and pot. I've purchased in the store and my new favorite is online. When you purchase a plant online they pick out the best one they think, but you have the option to switch it out. Last time I switched for a bigger plant that had more babies luckily I had the room enough to switch. I did not get an additional charge for the bigger plant either. When it's the same plant regardless of size it is the same price. In that instance lol I'm not the shop owner. I'm sure they can explain if otherwise. They are very nice and very accommodating. If you don't like the plant in person you can even switch to whatever you want in the store and pay the difference or get money back. Also for the pot they can make a hole in the ceramic for irrigation. Free of charge! I love this place! read more

I have been into this fantastic store twice and both times have been absolutely amazing! Wendy and the store-owner Lisa have been so helpful and are both very knowledgeable. The first time I went in I bought a 6 inch Crocodile Fern and a pot and it is thriving. The second time I went in I bought a 4 inch Prince of Orange Philodendron and a matching pot to my Crocodile Fern, a 2 inch Monstera Adasonii and a pot for that, a 2 inch succulent and a pot for that as well, and lastly a 6 inch Maranta (Prayer Plant) in a hanging basket. My Prince of Orange is currently popping out a new leaf! This store has a great selection that is regularly restocked. I also love the fact where if you get a receipt texted or emailed to you, it has the care instructions under every plant that you bought! Lifelong customer here!! read more
