I was walking around, and saw two very happy women unloading these beautiful plants from a crammed-full truck. I thought "ohhh that looks fun" and it turns out they run a plant store! And what a plant store. It's two room of gorgeous, very well taken care of plants that are also super reasonably priced. None of that wild, unreasonable, "pay a lot because I bet you will" stuff. There's also a great selection of vases, prints, tools, and the AIR PLANTS! Amazing. I wish I could figure out how to format the pictures of my actual plants I got because they are gorgeous. The same day I discovered the I bought bingo tickets for my mom and I, for the next day. It was so much! The lovely women told me that people bring snacks- my mom and I brought Trader Joe's snacks, one group brought Taco Bell, another brought sandwiches- I loved it. Super fun, easy, people are friendly, it's not more than like 15 people, and the mocktails were delicious. I don't drink alcohol so I really appreciate a good mocktail- these were fantastic. (I know they're done by a local, award-winning small business but can't recall their name.) The employees are soooo nice! So informative, so friendly, so casual but also very professional and helpful. Go here. Go here, go here. Keep your eyes peeled because it's a little tucked in from the street, but you will go in and gasp and be so pleased.

Lauren and everyone else here at Knots & Found were nothing short of incredible. I brought in my 10" Monstera for a repot and she could not possibly be more happy! We also grabbed an arabica coffee plant here that is thriiiiviiiiingggg! Please come to them and give them all your love, I can promise you that they will be as attentive and caring to your present and future rooted children as can be. Best plant shop ever!

I spent the day with my Mom and Sister in Martinez. My sister was very excited to show me this place as we both love plants. Let me tell you that this place is AWESOME!!! Two rooms filled with beautiful, healthy and colorful plants of all variants as well as some cute gifts (plant stakes/decor/pottery, etc). The shop keeper is very knowledgeable and happy to help and answer any questions. The prices are a bit high, but I am willing to pay a bit higher for the quality of plants. What a great little place to visit!

This cute little greenhouse safe haven gives me so many beautiful vibes! I resurrected my love of gardening during quarantine. I was scrolling on Instagram looking to find local plant shops to support near me, and I found this gem! They have such a huge variety of greenery! And all the plants are so vibrant and healthy!!! The customer service is excellent! I took time to ask questions about tips on nurturing my plant babies, and the staff was very helpful! Ordering was sooo easy! There's a link to inventory on their Instagram page. Everything is packed and ready for curbside pick up! My plants are thriving and I definitely plan on stopping by soon for another plant splurge! Street parking is always available and the shop is located in the cute downtown area. Can't wait to snag some more babies for my collection!

Oh boy is my wallet in so mcuh trouble after describing this amazing wonderful little spot! I mean this is the cutest little place! I wish my home was this full of plants! Well after finding this spot I just might have a replica! This cute little shop is filled to the brim with with all the plants!! There are snake plants, ferns, succulents, cacti and more! After a very hard time deciding which plants I want I picked out two amazing plants and headed to the register. As I was ringing out the lovely lady at the register asked me about where my palnt was going and the light situation. Sadly and thankfuly she let me know that the plants I fell in love with while they looked amazing they would not live very long in my space. She then took the time to go over all the plants she offered that would survive in my space. I ended up leaving with a snake plant and a prothos. Both are amazing and while they are not what I originally chose i love them just the same! (Well maybe more since they will actually survive!)

Finally got to visit this cute little shop in downtown Martinez. They have curbside pick up on the left and on the right where you enter for walked-in. Only one group allowed at a time. Of course Wear your face covering. You sanitized before you enter. Wendy greeted me with her welcoming pleasant smile. She's so nice, helpful and friendly. I got 2 little cactus for $4 each and 1 polka dot plant (white & pink). 3 different style pots lol. I'm so happy. Excited to transfer the new babies. Happy planting everyone!

Really pleased with this place so many health plants to pick from. Lovely Martinez business.

Wendy hooked me up with a beautiful rubber plant and matching pot. I love them both . The shop is super cute. They have cute earrings and little things. We also went to a wine tasting event there that was super fun!

I came in yesterday with loads of questions about my plants at home and eager to take home a new one, and Lauren was incredibly helpful in helping me decide and giving me advice on the babies that I already have. I am so excited about my new plant and can't wait to come back!

I absolutely LOVE this store! I moved to the peninsula a few months ago but I try to drop in here whenever I'm in the area. The employees are always so sweet and incredibly knowledgeable! This is great because as a new plant owner, I have no idea what I'm doing. On my first trip here I got a little string of pearls, not knowing that they are notoriously difficult to keep alive. Well I followed the employee's care directions to the letter-- and now I have a beautiful, healthy, thriving string of pearls! I cannot speak more highly of the people at Knots and Found. Keep up the great work!

The weeds in my front yard were overwhelming and not very attractive, but I was indecisive about what to do. The one thing I DID know was that I wanted something low maintenance and didn't require water. My neighbor suggested that I try landscaping rocks in my front yard. And recommended that I call Macalvey's Nursery because he had a great experience with them as well. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Juan, the manager and his staff and shared my ideas. They gave me a lot of great ideas and showed me different types of gravel and rocks and offered their expertise about how I should handle all the prep work. I would give them 10 stars if I could! So if you're looking for a nice friendly place with good ideas and service and lots of different gravel, rocks, and landscaping options----- THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!

Warning: Be very cautious if you order from Macalvey's Nursery on Alhambra Way in Martinez…read more We ordered and paid for 5 cubic yards of paver base. We moved it ourselves using 3-gallon buckets -- exactly 225 buckets total. That equals about 90 cubic feet, which is only 3.3 cubic yards. For comparison, 5 cubic yards should be 135 cubic feet. We were almost 2 cubic yards short. When we tried to resolve this, my husband even went in person and was willing to pay again for the missing amount just so we could finish our project. Instead of making it right, they told us we'd also have to pay another delivery fee and completely denied that they had shorted us. When I called to follow up, I was brushed off. This was very disappointing. Not only did we not get what we paid for, but the company refused to take responsibility. As I can see there are similar issues reported by other customers here.

This morning I needed help finding Brown-eyed Susans or another tall growing daisy, and I was directed to Jerry, who was supposedly helping another customer, chatting away as if they were the only two people in the entire world. I had a friend in the car waiting for me who had medical issues, and after waiting to get help from Jerry for 10-15 minutes I went back in and told the people at the registers that the lack of help there was unacceptable. Several people were at the registers and nobody was checking out. Why one of them couldn't have helped was beyond me. One walked over to Jerry and asked him to help me since my question was quick, not landscaping a whole yard, and Jerry sighed and said what I wanted wasn't in stock. I asked him what daisies grew to be between 2-3 feet tall and wide, and he finally helped me find a yellow one. 30 minutes in the store for what should have been a ten minute errand. The rest of the staff said they "didn't know" anything about daisies. WHY A NURSERY HIRES PEOPLE WHO KNOW NOTHING ABOUT BASIC PLANTS IS BEYOND ME. When this was Navlet's you could get help easily, but now, as Sloat's, the ability to get real help is almost slim to none unless you have ALL DAY to wait around while they dilly dally and play dumb.
