Had a blast at a friends wedding. The property is very well kept and the event staff were very professional. Food was not perfect but still very tasty. I would recommend this place to people looking for a good venue.

Ceremony area. Photo taken from upstairs patio, right across from the bride's dressing room. Reception area is different.

Attended a close friend's wedding in November and the venue is beautiful & the perfect size for an intimate wedding reception or events. I didn't ask questions about the venue, but I will share the obvious. They have a bar in the main area, the bride dressing room is located upstairs with lots of mirrors, lights, and dressing chairs to fit your wedding party (if the bride wanted them to get dressed there). There is a pool room and a small little patio that over looks the area that was used for the ceremony. However, I did not see an elevator. Idk how that would work for anyone in a wheelchair to get upstairs if they wanted. Otherwise, if that is not an issue, Knotting Hill is gorgeous. Overall, beautiful wedding venue.

It is HUGE - definitely the largest splash pad I've seen in terms of sheer size. It is designed so that the water spouts at the top of the splash pad form a small river that flows down to the lower area, where there are more spouts, plus rocks to climb on and grassy (turf) hills to roll down. My kids like bringing small toys and racing them down the river. The real star here is the shaded observation area for the mamas, though. There is no other park that treats us so well, providing expansive shade tents all the way around the park. There are picnic tables, but for the most part it's BYOC (bring your own chair) - or blanket - and set up shop on the turf, under the shade, in an elevated spot so you can keep an eye on the littles playing below. The bathrooms are new and usually pretty clean, although sometimes they do still smell like a porta potty. The splash pad hours are kind of a bummer, with the water not turning on until 10am. In the peak heat of the summer, we would be there waiting right at 10, but by 12:30 or so the water already felt like bath water - not refreshing and honestly kind of gross. I wish it opened at 8am so we could enjoy it for longer. Now that summer is over, the splash pad is only open on the weekends. They have a super helpful and very clear calendar which posts the hours here: https://www.highlandvillage.org/calendar.aspx?CID=31&showPastEvents=false There is a traditional playground directly adjacent to the splash pad, but it's unremarkable - certainly nothing you'd drive out of your way for. The rest of the park is BEAUTIFUL and well landscaped. I'm not sure what they use that massive pavilion for, but honestly I think it makes a case for a good wedding venue! If you're looking for a splash pad to add to your summer rotation, put this one on the list.

Fantastic view from the 4th floor (which is where you check in). The bar/restaurant is on the 4th floor with fabulous views of the water feature across the street. Sometimes there are folks skiing in the lake across the street on a tow line. They have plenty of plugs for usb and reg plugs for charging devices!! It was strange to me that check-in was on the 4th floor, so where the hotel lobby would normally be, is just an elevator. You go up to the 4th floor, check in, then get on another elevator to access the rooms. This wasn't wrong, just felt weird and time consuming. Places to eat and do some other activities are within walking distance of the hotel. The room was very basic and our room smelled like chlorine. Window had an opaque shade, so you either expose your room completely or not at all and the chain was very hard to pull. Some type of blind or light curtain would make it all more functional. The pillows on the bed were also weird, four little square pillows on each bed. I had to take each pillow out and basically unfold it. This was a first. Toilet paper holder was broken. Shower water pressure was very low. The room was also dimly lit. We only stayed two nights, so we got what we got. I've encountered worse, but this hotel leaves a lot to be desired. If you're a hotel snob, even on quick trips, I would not recommend. Check in was smooth.

I remembered I never left a review for my wedding planner Jewel (I'm sorry I'm so late). But let me tell you all about Jewel. If you are looking for a planner who is a PERFECTIONIST, she's the one to hire. She stayed on top of everything, and kept me on top of everything as well. Not only was Jewel handling everything, she even handled me. A true bridezilla, control freak, and a bit of a hot head( I'm so sorry Jewel) but never not once did she become unprofessional. She kept me calm, kept reassuring me everything was going to be fine, and of course it definitely was. She went above and beyond to make sure my day was flawless. She's even managed to still reach out throughout the years just to check in on us. I don't know if I've ever told her how appreciative and grateful I am to have came across her business. Hiring her was by far the best decision I made for my wedding. Jewel, many thanks to you and your team for making my day so special and so beautiful! I still look back at that day and smile, and you're definitely one of the reasons for it!
