Had my septic tank pumped a couple times by Knox so far. Service has been quick, simple and professional each time. Once the truck arrives and starts pumping, the work is done within half an hour (for a 1000 gallon capacity tank). During the process, the guys will ask to have a toilet flushed to make sure there's good flow going to the tank and no potential clogs. Job well done, guys! read more

To the sexist troll who felt the need to message me to mansplain the plumbing situation at MY house... No one asked. Literally, no one asked your opinion. You seem to think random women who are simply sharing our experiences need your opinions on how we are getting it all wrong. Rest assured, we don't. This is definitely a septic system, not a water meter, in the photo. Our water meter access (also labeled "water meter") is in the front yard and CONTAINS A WATER METER. Somehow, despite the obvious limitation of being female, I can tell the difference between a utility meter and an open pit of raw sewage. It was also very clearly stated I was there during the septic inspection before we closed, so I would have known what this was, but thanks for not letting what I wrote derail your misogyny. Sadly our neighbors, who also had toddlers at the time, didn't realize their septic tank was improperly marked with a meter lid. They hired Knox the same day as our home's prior owners and had their job left the exact same way. The same was true of another neighbor using Knox who checked their system after I told them about ours (Knox was going door-to-door offering cheap cash-only pumping jobs that day). Our next door neighbor's septic tank was totally unsecured for nearly a year without their knowledge after hiring Knox. They said Knox never advised them that the septic system was left unsecured, despite a swingset with a baby swing being ten feet away from the riser. It's simply appalling how lax these people are about safety, and they are very lucky a child hasn't died as a result... My son came close. I will certainly not apologize for leaving them a fully factual, completely deserved one-star review. Dealing with patronizing, sexist comments after my child nearly lost his life due to a "professional" man's negligence shouldn't surprise me. It's totally in keeping with my experience dealing with these people. I have hired both Haas and Acme for work on our system and would recommend either of these companies. Both were completely professional/respectful and did top-notch work. Knox is cheap for a reason. read more

My buyers needed an inspection on a property where the sellers said the septic was in good working order. Attached is a picture of the "good working order" septic. Needed our septic emptied. We have used Knox the last two times we have needed emptied. Best Pricing in town. Very Professional and Prompt. Called at 9 a.m. they were here by 10:30. Did the job quickly, they also informed us that our cap doesn't have a lock, they advised us to secure it for the safety of the grandkids. We are selling our home. After a suspicious dye test on the septic system, septic inspections were scheduled. Company owner came to property somewhere around 4pm. Boyfriend/homeowner and buyer were also in attendance. I was inside in the room adjacent to septic access. I heard company owner say total septic system failure and it would cost 15k - 25k to replace. Boyfriend came inside and proceeded to tell me the company owner stuck a probe into the ground one time, pulled the probe out, then stated total septic system failure and it would cost 15k - 25k to replace. He determined this after the largest 2 day rainfall we have had this year with a septic tank that was full and scheduled to be pumped and without doing an actual inspection. The following day a different company came, probed the ground repeatedly marking the entire drainfield as well as the distribution box location, and viewing the hole where the septic access had been unearthed. Their report came back with no deficiencies and not suggesting any repairs. This was also before the tank had been pumped. read more
